Autumn leaves provide a breathtaking splash of pinks, oranges, yellows and greens. How about changing it up a bit with gold embossing? I used the Stampin’ Up! Wonderfall stamp set (versatile all year) and embossed the images in gold–very striking on a black background.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- This birthday card is for my brother-in-law. I like the simplicity and uncluttered look for a masculine card.
- I prefer to emboss on a larger piece of card stock and then cut the three panels (1 3/16″ X 3 3/16″ each) when I can see the finished images. It allows me the leverage to crop a bit more on one side (before cutting into thirds) to get better balance.
- A single gold brad adds interest without competing with the gold embossing.
- My inspiration for the “gold leaf” card was the card above, created and given to me by Canadian Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Desir?e Spenst. The stamp set she used is Stampin’ Up! Gently Falling (Wood-Mount 123802, Clear-Mount 123804)
