Occasions Mini Trio

Stampin up walk in the park trio

The Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini (available April 1) is loaded with new products and delightful stamps for spring and summer. Today's trio gives you a sneak peek at some of my favorites.  Stampin up matchbox bigz xl die

This darling box was created using a Big Shot Die-Cut Machine and the new Occasions Mini Matchbox Bigz XL Die.  Load up designer paper or card stock and crop out a box that you can assemble in minutes.  TIP:  Four Hershey's Nuggets (wrapped in Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper) fit perfectly inside–no slide!  How sweet for a party favor, bridal shower, wedding or small gift!  TIP:  The finished matchbox is approximately 2.75 x 2.

The sentiment is from Matchbox Messages (also from the Mini).  It's inked in Baja Breeze ink and stamped on Whisper White card stock. I popped it out with a 1 1/4" Circle Punch.  It's followed by a couple Stampin' Dimensionals, a 1 3/8" Circle of Baja Breeze and a Cameo Coral Scallop Circle.  The bird is from Summer Love Rub-Ons.  I transfered it to Whisper White, snipped it out and placed it as a corner accent.

Stamp Set:  Matchbox Messages (113800, available April 1)
Paper:  Walk in the Park Designer Series (115123, available April 1), Whisper White (100730), Baja Breeze (111352), Cameo Coral (100475)
Ink:  Baja Breeze (111833)
Cool Tools:  Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439), Matchbox Bigz XL Die (114890, available April 1), 1 1/4" (104403) and 1 3/8" Circle (104401) Punches, Scallop Circle Punch (109043)
The Perfect Touch:  Summer Love Rub-Ons (114620, available April 1), Valet Ribbon Originals (114318)

Stampin up bag with scallops bigz xl die

Are you loving the quick and pretty projects using the Bigz XL Dies? The Bag with Scallops XL Die is available in the current catalog and allowed me to whip together this sweet goodie gift.  I cropped out the window using a Large Oval Punch and covered it with Stampin' Up!'s new Window Sheet product.  TIP:  There is a medium thickness (used here) and a thicker version for creating accent shapes using the Big Shot (think clear and cool flowers and more).  Wait until you see the Printed Window Sheets!

I confess.  I sorted the Easter M & M's so that they would coordinate with the Walk in the Park DP.  The yellow and purple "rejects" gave me sustenance to keep creating.  Good trade off.  I added a touch of Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon and a sentiment from Summer Love Rub-Ons.

Paper:  Walk in the Park Designer Series (115123), Whisper White (100730)
Cool Tools:  Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (113439), Bag with Scallops XL Die (114519), Scallop Oval Die (114889, available April 1), Crop-A-Dile (108362)
The Perfect Touch:  Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon (109064), Metallic Eyelets (105319), Black Hemp Twine (101259)

Stampin up summer love rub-ons

Finally, this 3.75 x 3.5 card and envelope shows off another Summer Love Rub-On (butterfly) and Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper (envelope).  I used a Scor-Pal to add double score lines on three sides of the card and to create the custom sized envelope.

Stamp Set:  Frames with a Flourish (113496)
Paper:  Walk in the Park Designer Series (115123), Cameo Coral (100475), Whisper White (100730), Basic Gray (108692), Baja Breeze (111352)
Ink:  Cameo Coral (103035)
Cool Tools:  Scallop Edge Punch (112091), Eyelet Border Punch (113692), Scor-Pal (www.ucutathome.com)
The Perfect Touch:  Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon (109064), Silver Brads (104336), Stampin' Dimensionals
(104430)

  1. Mary, love everything you show here. How did you make the cute little envelope for that adorable little card?? Did you find instructions on the Scor-Pal website or what?

    Thanks,
    Susan, aka Soozie4Him on SCS

Hi Susan: I used the directions for the Scor-Pal website on making envelopes. It’s pretty easy! Here’s the web address: http://www.scor-pal.com/basics/index_files/Page358.htm

  2. Helllo Mary,

These projects are wonderful! very nice presentation. I thought the walk in the park paper was pretty, but really didn’t see myself using it. You have just changed my mind! these projects are elegant and you showcase them so well. Way to show off all the new occasions mini offerings. Your classy style and the way you present them on your blog rival the SU! catalog!

Hi Judi: Thank you for your kind words and questions. I attached the Window Sheet from the inside using mini glue dots, one in each corner of a rectangle that covered the opening. I cut the Window Sheet (medium thickness, using my Tonic paper trimmer. Piece of cake.

    Hugs, Mary
