A Quick Comment About Comments

Pen writing_full
I love your comments at the end of my posts.  I read and treasure every one. Your sweet words and questions are the highlight of my day and one of the big reasons I keep up my blogging pace.  If you haven't left a comment before, please do.  I enjoy learning who my virtual stamping buddies and readers are.  Not sure how to leave a comment?  Email me.

For the past year, I have tried to personally respond to each and every comment (other than blog candy, which gets wildly busy) with either an answer to a question or a simple thank you.  In order to keep up with creative projects and my Stampin' Up! business, I need to limit my responses to questions.  My answers and tips will be posted with your comment on the original post (no longer by private email) so everyone can learn the answer.  Please be sure to check back on the original post.

I assure you, I'll still be reading and coveting your thoughtful commentary.  If you prefer to reach me directly, you can email me or click on my "Live Help" button (top left of my blog).  Thanks!

  2. I read a lot of blogs but do not always leave a comment. There just aren’t enough hours in a day but I know what you’re saying. I leave comments when a card or post strikes a nerve and I want the person to know that I love the card or I respond to their posts about family, or illness.

  12. Mary,
I’m not sure if I have commented before but, since you are asking I’ll share a quick story. Yesterday I was trying to explain to my Hubby about your stampin space – I am totally inspired by it! So, I navigated him to your blog and now he is inspired to give me a beautiful crafty space as well! Thanks! Keep up the fabulous thoughts and ideas… I really appreciate them!

Hey Missy D: Keep us posted on any new craft ideas. I’m very excited to hear that my new work space has starting things rolling for you. Hugs, M

  13. i love your blog and check it regularly – daily really! Thank you for staying purely Stampin’Up and graciously declining design team offers (too bad for them but great for us SU! only folks!) and thanks for sharing what you share so willingly!

Hi Erin: You’re so sweet. Just a quick clarification. As long as I can use Stampin’ Up! products, I’m very game to do sketch designs for a few favorite blogs (for example Mojo Monday sketches and Taylored Expression’s Cupcake Challenge). However, in both scenarios I can stick with SU products (which is my intention). Hugs, Mary

  14. No worries – I’ll be back to read posts again if I have questions. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our comments and respond to them. I will miss reading your e-mails though. I will just send you a few e-mails now. šŸ™‚ Along with pics of projects or my stamping space once I modify it a bit. You really have inspired me. I spent a hour today looking at different fabrics online. Next comes convincing the hubs as I’m going to need his muscle (and tools). šŸ™‚

  18. I often wondered how in the world you ever kept up with all the emailing of answers to comments. I was amazed by it. Not wanting to spend my life tethered to the computer I certainly agree with your new approach. It doesn’t make you any less of a demonstrator and certainly gives you more time to think of pretties for all the fans in your fan club and Mary, this blog has become just that – the Mary Fan Club. Heck, I even volunteer to be President! LOL

  19. Mary, I like the idea of answers on posts. That way we all get the benefit of the answers to questions we may not have thought to ask. Keep up the good work and save a few minutes of time – I see no problems.

Thanks, again, for all you do.

  23. I just found your blog and LUV your classy style.
The way you covered that tack board and your chair with fabric is awesome. It made me smile to see something as sharp as that and I am so happy for you that you are designing a stamp room.
I appreciate you taking the time to share your work.

  27. Thank goodness you are freeing yourself up. You are always so good about thanking everyone for the comments and I certainly understand that as many as you get a day it takes time to respond to each and everyone of us. This is a wise thing to do and I’m sure everyone will understand. Anyway, now you’ll maybe have more time to create and share your ideas. (selfish of me isn’t it?)
