A Quick Comment About Comments

Pen writing_full
I love your comments at the end of my posts.  I read and treasure every one. Your sweet words and questions are the highlight of my day and one of the big reasons I keep up my blogging pace.  If you haven't left a comment before, please do.  I enjoy learning who my virtual stamping buddies and readers are.  Not sure how to leave a comment?  Email me.

For the past year, I have tried to personally respond to each and every comment (other than blog candy, which gets wildly busy) with either an answer to a question or a simple thank you.  In order to keep up with creative projects and my Stampin' Up! business, I need to limit my responses to questions.  My answers and tips will be posted with your comment on the original post (no longer by private email) so everyone can learn the answer.  Please be sure to check back on the original post.

I assure you, I'll still be reading and coveting your thoughtful commentary.  If you prefer to reach me directly, you can email me or click on my "Live Help" button (top left of my blog).  Thanks!

  1. I just love your website,I check out your website everday, I love your work so wonderful to see how much you like to do cards I to love to do cards so keep on creating & sharing.

  2. I read a lot of blogs but do not always leave a comment. There just aren’t enough hours in a day but I know what you’re saying. I leave comments when a card or post strikes a nerve and I want the person to know that I love the card or I respond to their posts about family, or illness.

  3. Totally understand Mary!! As with my blog I can relate as well, and I enjoy surfing, but can be much when I sure would like to be stamping ver’s on the computer so much. You have such great descriptive posts, photos, tips, and keeping us informed what SU! Has to offer? you just say it all! I love it too as you are a SU! girl only… just awesome!!! Smiles… Michelle 🙂

  4. I adore your work. I make more scrapbooking that of cartery but you are a source of inspiration. Moreover I adore Stampin up. I am French and lives close to Paris.

  5. I check your blog everyday and your style is my favorite of all. I just wanted to let you know that there are probably alot more people like myself who are watching, but don’t write. Keep up the great inpiring work!

    Hugs Sam-no reply needed!!!!

  8. Good for you! I don’t know how you had the time to do all that.

  13. Rosemary Olson

Wait…you responded to everyone, not just me? 😉 Save your time Mary for scraping in your awesome new space. We *need* a constant fix of seeing your great cards and ideas.

  14. Mary,
I’m not sure if I have commented before but, since you are asking I’ll share a quick story. Yesterday I was trying to explain to my Hubby about your stampin space – I am totally inspired by it! So, I navigated him to your blog and now he is inspired to give me a beautiful crafty space as well! Thanks! Keep up the fabulous thoughts and ideas… I really appreciate them!
    Smiles 😉

Hey Missy D: Keep us posted on any new craft ideas. I’m very excited to hear that my new work space has starting things rolling for you. Hugs, M

  15. i love your blog and check it regularly – daily really! Thank you for staying purely Stampin’Up and graciously declining design team offers (too bad for them but great for us SU! only folks!) and thanks for sharing what you share so willingly!

Hi Erin: You’re so sweet. Just a quick clarification. As long as I can use Stampin’ Up! products, I’m very game to do sketch designs for a few favorite blogs (for example Mojo Monday sketches and Taylored Expression’s Cupcake Challenge). However, in both scenarios I can stick with SU products (which is my intention). Hugs, Mary

  16. Check out my blog for a special surprise for YOU! http://heididavenport.blogspot.com/

Thanks, Heidi. I’m so flattered! Hugs, Mary

  17. Wow, your room is beautiful! Love the ideas for storing scraps! I might have to get some of those. Thanks for the pics!

  18. No worries – I’ll be back to read posts again if I have questions. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our comments and respond to them. I will miss reading your e-mails though. I will just send you a few e-mails now. 🙂 Along with pics of projects or my stamping space once I modify it a bit. You really have inspired me. I spent a hour today looking at different fabrics online. Next comes convincing the hubs as I’m going to need his muscle (and tools). 🙂

  19. You have a great blog and your creations are so pretty…. so glad to follow your blog. Blessings

  20. Hi Mary, A lurker from Canada here. Thanks for all of your inspiration! I am surprised to hear you’ve been replying to all of your comments – that’s real dedication, but I’m sure it ate up a lot of time. Enjoy your new-found time!

I often wondered how in the world you ever kept up with all the emailing of answers to comments. I was amazed by it. Not wanting to spend my life tethered to the computer I certainly agree with your new approach. It doesn’t make you any less of a demonstrator and certainly gives you more time to think of pretties for all the fans in your fan club and Mary, this blog has become just that – the Mary Fan Club. Heck, I even volunteer to be President! LOL

  24. colleen kramer

So glad you have taken some pressure off of yourself! Enjoy your creative freedom!!

  25. Mary, I like the idea of answers on posts. That way we all get the benefit of the answers to questions we may not have thought to ask. Keep up the good work and save a few minutes of time – I see no problems.

Thanks, again, for all you do.

  26. Hello…I’ve never left a comment, but I always look forward to checking your blog each day. I like your style. You have good taste! Thanks for sharing your ideas 🙂

  27. Hello Mary! I usually don’t comment, but I love to look at your blog and get inspired! Thanks! 🙂

  28. I’ve always been amazed that you respond to my comments but, not to worry, I understand that it’s not always practical; I’ll continue to enjoy your blog and take inspiration from it.

  29. I just found your blog and LUV your classy style.
The way you covered that tack board and your chair with fabric is awesome. It made me smile to see something as sharp as that and I am so happy for you that you are designing a stamp room.
I appreciate you taking the time to share your work.

  30. That is fine! Instead of writing to me…get in there, get busy and show us something neat! 😉
Don’t waste that precious stamping time, writing to little old me! 🙂

  31. Hi Mary! I don’t think I have ever left a comment before, but I diligently keep up to date with your posts in my reader. 🙂 LOVE your work and your willingness to share.

  32. That is a sign of success Mary!!! 🙂 Congrats on a beautiful, well traveled blog, and thanks for all your personal touches!! I love seeing what you come up with.

    Take care,

  33. Thank goodness you are freeing yourself up. You are always so good about thanking everyone for the comments and I certainly understand that as many as you get a day it takes time to respond to each and everyone of us. This is a wise thing to do and I’m sure everyone will understand. Anyway, now you’ll maybe have more time to create and share your ideas. (selfish of me isn’t it?)

  34. Just saying hi! I read your blog often and really enjoy your works of art!
