Font of You

Stampin up font of you mojo monday 71

Mojo71Sketch
Got mojo?  It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch and a snazzy way to highlight my new Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer Catalog goodies that just arrived.

First up is a new stamp set called Font of You (p. 46 in the new Spring/Summer Idea Book & Catalog).  I stamped the umbrella in Tempting Turquoise (on Very Vanilla) and layered it on So Saffron and Tempting Turquoise card stock.  Thee turquoise brads accent the corners.

TIP:  The two line sentiment (one long sentiment on the stamp) was created using a Tempting Turquoise Stampin' Up! Marker to color the first three words, stamped and followed up with a  Stamp-a-ma-jig to add the three words below.  This way, I could tuck my words neatly in the 1 1/4" square and stay on track for the Julee's sketch.  It's layered over a Scallop Square Punch in So Saffron.

A So Saffron flower popped out of the Boho Blossoms Punch and a Tempting Turquoise button adds both color and dimension.  TIP:  The "thread" for all three turquoise buttons is simply a very thin strip of So Saffron card stock, slipped through and tied (carefully so it doesn't tear).

Flock Together is a brand new Designer Series paper, featuring Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery, So Saffron and Garden Green Stampin' Up! colors.  Both patterns coordinate beautifully on the left and right sides of this card.  The card base is 4.25 x 5.5 in Very Vanilla.

I added two more Tempting Turquoise Buttons in the top left and a strip of So Saffron 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon (114618, available Feb. 1 as a Sale-A-Bration free gift choice).

  8. Mary, I love these colors together and love the different prints! As a kid dressing I was taught to never mix prints. As a cardmaker, there’s a whole new set of rules to follow! 🙂
