Kick Up Yer Heels for Stampin’ Up! Blendabilities!

Yippee Kayay!  I have a feminine and flirty cowgirl card for you today.  I even sponged the edges of my layers with Crumb Cake ink for a rustic touch!

Mojo353Sketch

The inspiration for my layout was this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO353).

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • I did a little “surgery” with my craft & rubber scissors to separate the boot from the “kick up yer heels” sentiment on the stamp.  Having two stamps opens the door for more versatility.

  • Not just skin deep!  My Blendabilites Markers in the Skin Tone Assortment (6) colors were used to color the boot.  The edges were rimmed with Natural and the balance of “white space” was shaded and blended with Blush.
  • Here are two helpful videos on how to get beautiful results with Blendabilities Markers.  My 7 Rules of Blendabilities or Stampin’ Up!’s Blendabilities Basic Techniques.

  • The sweet row of hearts were cropped with the Stampin’ Up! Hearts Border Punch.
  • Stars, hearts, circles!  The Stampin’ Up! 2013-2015 In Color Sequins shout “giddyap” on this cowgirl card!

  4. Well, what a fantastic card, so pretty!! that little boot looks amazing with the awesome Mojo Monday sketch framing it!!! Love the gradation of color you gave the boot with the Blendabilities Markers.
I’ve done some ”surgery” on a few stamp sets myself Mary, this really gives you the freedom to use them on other cards as well.
    Thanks for sharing.

  5. Mary, this is SO STINKIN’ adorable! I love your choice of using the Skin Tone BLENDABILITIES for the boot. Your “boot”
looks awesome, you have got the “blending” DOWN! BEAUTIFUL! ~ ~ ~ The “sponging” on the edges fits the card theme so well. I’m making a few of these today to send to send to a few friends who are going to a Country Concert in a few weeks!

It’s so CUTE, I want to grab it right out of my screen! ha! Your creative ability to put combinations together never ceases to amaze me.

    Happy Monday! Yee Haw!
