One of the key features that has me smitten with the Stampin' Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool is that the grooves are placed every 1/8". Not only does this make boxes and envelopes with smaller increments a dream, it opens the door for creative scoring, too. Today's Stampin' Pretty 1 Minute to WOW! Video Tutorial shows you how simple it is to produce a classy background texture in seconds.
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIP: I scored 3 lines, each 1/8" apart and then skipped three. I repeated the process to continue the pattern.
LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK! I added a little mood music to the beginning and end of the video. It's still short and sweet. However, I'm hoping the overall feel is more spirited and polished. I also added a detailed list of supplies used at the end, so that they are available to my YouTube viewers as well 🙂

What a wonderful card – love the scoring!
A near idea, Mary, and very classy, also! :>) Thanks again for sharing – must try this one!
Hi Mary,
I love your video and the beautiful card. This is a great technique and it can be very versatile. The music sounds southwestish which is approraiate for Arizona. Thank you for sharing!
Very cool, Mary! I love how you added the texture…picks up the lines of the birdcage without cluttering the whole card with more color…love it! The music was very pleasant 🙂
Awesome card, Mary! I have to remember to use my Simply Scored for projects other than scoring cards or projects but to create backgrounds as well. Thanks for the reminder!
I love your choice of music–interesting, beautiful, without being overwhelming. Great addition! Oh, and the card is pretty awesome, too. 🙂
Thanks for more ways to use the scoring board. I love your cards. Thanks. Charlotte

Such a novel way to add zip to a card. Loved your music too.
Mary I just purchased the scoring tool and this idea is the first one I will try. You are so inspiring I look forward to checking my emails everyday to see new stuff you have to show. I really look forward to it and I use some of your ideas in my scrapbooking. Thanks for being so inspiring you are very creative I love all of your work.
Super AWESOME Card Mary! Love your pattern and how super easy it is to get that look by just skipping a couple spaces….that in itself is a Super WOW! Also – thanks for showing us you don’t have to go all the way down the front of your card (because it’s going to be covered up with your stamped image). Thanks for sharing girlfriend (and I love your intro music).
Hi Susan: I purchased the music through istockphoto (that way I can legally use it). It’s not anything famous. I like Spanish guitar music and find it soothing and inspirational at the same time. Hope it is for you, too! Hugs, M
It is a WOW. Thanks for the video. By the way, what is the music at the beginning and end of the video? Thanks.
Mary, thanks for the scoring lesson and am sure going to use it!! Your such an inspiration and love all your cards!! Many thanks!
Very nice card. I love the colors and the scoring.
Super Mary this idea!!!! But in France, we haven’t this product…. I hope that we have it in April!
