Holiday Mini Catalog on Sept. 1, the PeekABoo Frames Bigz L Die has been one of my hottest  Big Shot accessories.  I'm lovin' the way it works for an advent calendar (see p. 36 of the mini) . . . however, it's a multi-tasker far beyond that.  Think about all the surprises you could tuck behind the little "door!"  Images of birthday cakes, punched hearts, sweet sentiments, a little photo . . . endless possibilities.

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:

  • Stampin up owl builder punch holiday mini catalog halloween idea When I layered the Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper Pattern over the PeekABoo Frame door, I recropped the opening slot with my Itty Bitty Shapes Circle Punch for a clean finish.
  • Create the flagged end on the banner in a flash with a 1" Square Punch.  Watch this quick video to learn how.
  • I love the little Halloween Owl from the Warmest of Wishes Hostess Rewards Set (Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog).  It coordinates with the Owl Builder Punch.  What a hoot!  DID YOU KNOW that you can earn hostess rewards with your on-line product order of $150 or more?
  • Dazzling Details Glitter Glue (new in the Holiday Mini Catalog) adds a delicious touch of sparkle to the owl's eyes.  This cute idea was shared with me by Susan Dyas when she sent me this Mini Milk Carton Box and card.  Did your jaw drop as wide as mine?  Visit Susan's blog and get the details.

  2. I recropped using the itty bitty punch because my square of DSP covered part of the original opening slot. The die cuts it’s own “slot.” I may do a video . . . however, the peekaboo die is super easy to use. Thanks for the suggestion, Chris! Hugs, M

  3. So cute both yours and Susan’s. I had already put in my order for this die (thinking outside the box already) plus getting that hostess set. You mentioned you recropped the opening slot with the itty bitty punch. Was this to make it easier to open up? Just curious. Now, do we need a WOW video how to use this die?

  4. Hi Carla: I take full responsibility for “enabling” you 🙂 I originally debated on the peekaboo die, too (thinking it wouldn’t be versatile enough). Now I see it as one of my “go to” dies. Love your idea of jokes and riddles . . . Woo hoo! Hugs, Mary

  5. OK, so I had decided that the Peekaboo frames die was something I could skip, and then you do this! I am not so good at “thinking outside the box”, but love it when others do. With two grandchildren, this made me think of all kinds of things to do for them: birthday cards, riddles, jokes, valentines. So I blame you for the extra big item on my order, lol.

  7. Great card! How ingenious to put the mini card on the front of the big card. I bet it’s big enough to hold a tea bag for a get well card, too! that die is on my wish list!
