Little Leaves Congrats

Stampin up little leaf sizzlits mojo monday 1
Mojo84Sketch Mojo Monday has arrived and I have a graduation "congrats" card to share with you.  Julee's Tilman's Mojo Sketch Week 84 was a good challenge for me, especially since I discovered this evening that the first card I did for the sketch was for the wrong week.  Oops.

Urban Oasis and Walk in the Park Designer SeriesPaper provide plenty of pattern.  They are layered over Basic Gray Textured card stock and a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Whisper White card base.  I ran a skinny piece of Kiwi Kiss textured card stock through the middle to mirror the ribbon on the mojo sketch.

The star of the show is Stampin' Up!'s exclusive Little Leaves Sizzlits
Die.  I zipped it through my Big Shot with Kiwi Kiss Textured card
stock.  TIP: This stem really pops when layered over a deeper color, like the Basic Gray I used.
Stampin up little leaf sizzlits mojo monday 2 I cropped one corner with a Corner Rounder Punch and used a Template
and Paper Piecer from Stampin' Up!'s Crafter's Tool Kit to line up the
Styled Silver Hodgepodge Brads.

The "congrats" is from Fundamental Phrases, my "little black dress" stamp set for almost every occasion.  It's inked in Basic Gray and stamped on Kiwi Kiss card stock.  A  Designer Label Punch created the perfectly coordinated shape for the Hodgepodge Hardware Label Holder.

TIP:  I like to tuck a couple Stampin' Dimensionals behind the sentiment to give it a snug fit within the holder and keep it in place while attaching the brads.

  6. Mary, I was looking at some of your older cards on SCS, and I was trying to find the tutorial on embossing with SU! markers where you did this with an Easter egg card in March 2008. A flower popped out of the card. I can’t find this on your website. Could you direct me to it? I did not know you could emboss with SU! markers. I thought they were dye ink markers. Thanks!

    At your service, Nancy. http://www.stampinpretty.com/2008/03/easter-egg-wish.html
