I have more sneak peeks for you today from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.  JUST ONE MORE DAY before the Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Promotion (a free gift for every $50 in product purchased) begin!  See more of my Sneak Peek Samples!

My design inspiration is from this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO379).

  • Sneak Peek.  Crisp and cool.  The “for you” was cropped with one of the many dies in the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies set (#137547, Occasions Catalog, p. 9).  I popped it up for dimension with bits of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  • Sneak Peek.  The splashy birthday paper patterns are from Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper (#137783, Occasions Catalog, p. 11).
  • The Stampin’ Up! Triangle Punch was used to crop the little hat (to mirror the paper pattern) along with a tiny circle from the Cupcake Builder Punch for the pompom.
  • Tangelo Twist 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon adds a pop of color and depth.

  • Sneak Peek.  Another pattern from Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper lines the envelope.  All three patterns make a statement and blend beautifully.
  • I used one of the Stampin’ Up! Envelope Liners Framelits Dies to crop the perfect insert for a Whisper White Medium Envelope.
  • Hover and Pin it! Here’s a photo showing key products for today’s card that you can save or pin to Pinterest. See ALL my product photos in one spot on my How to Make Simple Cards board on Pinterest.

  1. Thanks, Amy. The Birthday Bash patterns are the bomb to play with!

  2. Drooling over your coordinating envelope! Nice touch! I really love how you also coordinated the sentiment to the pattern paper…GREAT job! 🙂

  3. So pretty and what fun colors…love the cheerfulness of it…another great take on your sketch!!

  4. It’s for my daughter’s 21st birthday tomorrow. I wanted something sunny and fun!

  5. Linda Duensing

Love, Love this card and the vibrant colors. The designer paper and the colors add so much to the card. Thanks for sharing.

    Linda D.

  6. I’m “crushing” on the Birthday Bath paper, too. Goes far beyond just birthdays!

  7. Absolutely adorable card! Love how the little birthday hat echoes the hats in the DP!

  8. I love this card, I’ve had a huge crush on this DSP since I saw the catalog. I think this card would cheer you up and make you smile even if you were celebrating a birthday with a number you dreaded, lol. I think the little birthday hat embellishment is adorable.

  9. Must. CASE. Fun card, Mary!!

  10. Thanks so much for the feedback. I agree the colors are worthy of a football team . . . bold and fun! I love the “for you” floating over the card. The entire die set is divine!

  11. LOVE how you used the triangle punch to mirror the pattern in the Birthday Bash DSP. BRILLIANT! Couldn’t ask for a happier birthday card. Thanks for sharing my friend.

  12. Love, love, love these colors, Mary!!! I feel collegiate and excited with them, don’t you? Or do I just have too much football on the brain? And all the new dies in the Occasions Catalog? Yes please! Your card is a winner of a design and I’ll use it many, many ways. Thanks always!
