Need a quick and easy card for Father’s Day (or perhaps the 4th of July)?  The Stampin’ Up! Epic Day This and That Designer Washi Tape makes quick work of this diagonal design for Daddo!

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • I layered the Washi Tape diagonally (side by side) on the card and cropped all sides (along with a little card stock) for a clean edge.

  • Good news!  The Star Punch (Merry Minis Punch Pack) is STILL available for purchase but not in the catalog.  Check out all the available items on the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Carryover List.
  • A touch of Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper adds a coordinated polish to the Crumb Cake Envelope.

WASHI TAPE STORAGE IDEA!

Fellow Demonstrator Jan Burnett shared a great tip in my leaders group to use Washi Tape to dress up empty brads/buttons canisters.  I then realized that our Washi Tape fits INSIDE the canisters and tucks neatly into the Stampin’ Up! Stack & Store Caddy!  Easy, coordinated storage!

  1. Mary …. Great idea for the washi tape…..I guess I will have to get another stack and store caddy!!! Cindy

  2. Hi Mary – I was wondering what to do with the Washi tape – once it is opened it likes to unroll – this is a great storage solution – I will be sharing it with my stamp club ladies – I will need a new stack-n-store.:)
    Thanks!

  3. Love the use of washi tape on this card! So simple but so effective as a layer. Also love the storage tip. So much better than storing with my ribbon. Thanks on both counts!!

  4. Carol Carriveau

This would be a good design for any of our Summer holidays… Thanks for sharing your storage suggestions as well!

  5. Hi Shawnie . . . not sure if the containers would keep the clay air tight? I don’t know of anyone trying it but let me know if it works for you 🙂 Hugs, M

  6. This is a wonderfully designed card! I like the diagonal design across the bottom and the rhinestone accent. Thanks for sharing.

  7. Love your card and the washi tape storage idea is great!

  8. Michelle McMahon (mcstamperNE)

How timely! I was just wondering how people are using washi tape on their projects. I love the tape with the hexagons on it. Now I need that star punch, too!

  9. What a genius idea for storing your washi tape! I was going to use my empty containers also for finished clay buttons & flowers. I have also divided my simply pressed clay and put them in the empty containers, that’s a sure way of keeping air from getting to it. And the can’s are small enough, I split my clay up amongst them ensuring I use one can at a time, leaving the clay in the other can’s to remain unexposed to a lot of air and handling until I start using that can. If you know of someone who has done this with a bad result, please let me know so I can go back to the Ziploc bag it came in. I kept it on hand in case I needed to go back to the bag for one reason or another.

I love your fathers day card. The washi tape was a great addition to it! You never fail to inspire me and it’s much appreciated!

  10. Cute Card Mary! That would also be nice for the 4th of July, Veterans Day, Memorial Day, or for a soldier- just change the greeting. Very Nice!

  11. Ooh pretty Ms Mary , love your stars ….
    Hugs F,

  12. The storage idea is BRILLIANT, Mary!
