“Stay” with Mojo Monday 224

Stampin up occasions mini catalog lined envelope scallop circle punch mojo monday
Welcome to another Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO224).  Today’s card is a playful spin on vintage using Stampin’ Up! Attic Boutique Designer Series Paper (new in the Occasions Mini Catalog).Mojo224SketchSTAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • Stop the presses!  I sponged!  To add soft dimension, I sponged a touch of Whisper White Craft Ink on the edges of the Crumb Cake card stock.
  • After running a snippet of Stampin’ Up! White Baker’s Twine through my buttons, I attached them with Mini Glue Dots–a good bet that they will stay put.

  • I used the Circles #2 Originals Die for the 2″ Poppy Parade Circle.
  • A sweet Poppy Parade Brad offers a SNEAK PEEK from the Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack (available Jan. 24).

  • For a finishing touch, I lined a Crumb Cake envelope with a coordinating piece of Attic Boutique Designer Series Paper.

  1. I so LOVE Poppy Parade! You did a fantastic Card! Thanks for sharing….Wow, I love it!

  2. Pretty card, and congrats on sponging! I love sponging even if it just lightly done. I also love how you get a totally different look by sponging with a sponge, or with a dauber, so that’s your next mission should you choose to accept it! lol

  3. What a great card Mary! I love the new Attic Boutique paper and you’ve given it a whole new twist. Love the white buttons and twine. Way to go on the sponging! Thanks for the inspiration! Hugs

  4. Super, super pretty card! I didn’t like the DSP in the mini, but now that I’ve seen you use it, it’s brilliant! Well done!

  5. What an adorable card! I was puzzling over how I was going to use that very BRIGHT piece of dp, and you’ve provided the perfect solution – combine with Crumb Cake and white. The sponging looks great – keep it up!

  6. These presses on the NORTH SIDE of Tucson have STOPPED COMPLETELY…….You go girlfriend! Isn’t sponging great? Slow and Steady wins any race. Mary has officially joined the sponging side. WELCOME MARY! Thanks for sharing yet another amazing card. Love all the detail to this card.

  7. I can see this card translated for any occasion. thanks for another inspiring post Mary.

  8. Very cute, Mary…how funny that you “sponged”…you are such a clean and classic stamper….I can’t make a card without sponging! I would have to say…Oh..I didn’t sponge!
