While I'm at sea (returning later today from my Stampin' Up! Alaskan Cruise), I thought you might enjoy the chance at some pretty scrumptuous blog candy. The subscriber count to my Stampin' Pretty blog tipped the 7000 mark recently. That's a perfect reason to celebrate! I remember when I had only ONE subscriber–ME!
For your chance to win, please leave me a comment (perhaps a confession) at the end of this post. Tell me if you are either A) a "card sender" (meaning you send or share most of the cards you create OR B) a "card collector" (translation: you have more than a boxful of your beloved paper friends that rarely find their way to the mailbox). Note: Winner must have a U.S. address for shipping.
Here's what the winner will receive (pictured above):
- A Slice of Life Clear Mount Hostess Stamp Set (unused, retired)
- WOW! Over 100 pieces (cut to 6 x 6") of a variety of retired Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper.
- A splashy mix of my leftover stash of coordinating Sweet Stitches Big Buttons and Designer Fabric Brads from the retired Occasions Mini Catalog.
Deadline for entries is Sunday, May 29 at 6:00 p.m. CST. I'll announce the randomly selected winner later Sunday evening. Winner has 24 hours to contact me with their name and mailing address.

"I love all the projects you showed here. I'm glad I purchased this tutorial video, Mary!"
I am a card sender! I like sending card “just because”. I love looking at your blog!! You are so creative!!
I like to give away my cards. Everyone is so excited to see them. I scan and print a picture of my cards before I give them away. That way I always have a sample of what I gave away.
I am definately a sender! I always make 2 of whatever card I am making, so that I can send one out, and keep one for myself! Then I have an idea to refer back to if I need one. Thanks for sharing your beautiful ideas with us!
Tanya
I do both. I make lots of cards and I send lots of cards. I think I have more cards left over though. Thanks for the chance to win some goodies.
I am a card sender. I love to make cards & send them!! I still have more than a box full because I make multiple cards at a time, but I send plenty. Thank you for the chance to win blog candy!
Hi Mary,
Glad you had a great trip to Alaska , I’ve heard it’s a wonderful trip to take. Hope you made a lot of pictures to scrapbook.
I’m a card sender, cards have always been one of my favorite things to receive, so I like to send them with my personal touch every chance I get. I certainly would love to receive your “blog candy”, thanks for the offer.
I am more of a card giver. I give my cards away to people as presents or little thank you’s and they send them – I hope. I never seem to have the card I need when some one is sick or worse. I have given them all away! I make cards for specific people with specific (mostly humorous) themes.
This had me laughing…I would like to think all my hard work on cards goes to someone special and brightens their day, but let’s be honest…I am a card collector. Yes I do send cards, but I usually talk myself out of sending the “special” ones. You know the ones with the pretty embellishments, ribbon, etc. They sit in a box just in case I might use it.
I used to be a card hoarder, never sent what I made at workshops or otherwise…then it occured to me that when I make one card there is still another on the other half of that 8.5X11 to make its twin…So now I have the best of both worlds…any my friends and family are happier that I share my creations with them!
Hi Mary,
I am proud to be a card SENDER……..I wish I had a stash of cards to pick and send quickly…I just can’t seem to make ahead of time.
thanks for the chance to win!
hugs
I’m probably more of a card collector than a card sender but that’s about to change since I retired on Friday. I love your blog and your cards and tips are awesome.
Nancy W.
Mary, I hope you had a wonderful time on your alaskan cruise! I must confess that I am a card hoarder. I make many cards a week for various challenges, and probably only send 1/6 of them out. Even tho I don’t generally send them out, I don’t hold back when making them!
Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy & congrats on passing the 7000 mark of visits to your blog!
I am better about using cards if I don’t need to mail them.
First – congrats on 7000 subscribers! WOW!
Second – congrats on earning the Alaska trip – yay! 🙂
Third…wow. Can I say both? I have a ton of cards around. Some are made for samples, some for selling on Etsy, some for challenges…but when I need a card for someone, rarely can I find one that is “just right” for that person, and end up making one! lol So then my stash goes nowhere. 😉
Thanks for sharing blog candy! 🙂

I am a card sender. Generally the cards that I have laying around are ones that I’ve made but don’t think they are quite good enough to send. I also make cards for my mother so that she can send to her friends.
I confess, I’m more of a card collector! I blame my mail lady…she’s sometimes at my mailbox by 10 AM! I’m always proud if I get it to the mailbox in time. Love your blog, Mary Fish. You rock!
I love sending and receiving cards, so I guess I am both A and B. : ) Love your blog! I visit every.single.day. Thanks for all you do!
I am a card sender and I love your blog for inspiration. Love the Alaska pictures.
Well, I just tried to leave a comment but I don’t know where it went! I will try this again LOL!
I am BOTH a card sender & a card hoarder! I have a duplicate of every card I make/send!
Thanks for the chance to win an awesome giveaway and for all you do on your blog for us! I can truly see why you have 7000 subscribers! Your site is AMAZING!!!!!
That’s a great question Mary! I guess I am BOTH! I have a duplicate of every card I send/make! Thanks for the chance to win an awesome giveaway and for all you do for us! I truly can see why you have 7000 subscribers! Your site is AWESOME!!!
Welcome back. I guess you could say I am a card collector. I have a large box of cards just stting here that I always intend to look through when I need to send a card. But somehow that never seems to happen. The box is getting fuller and fuller each week.
Hmmm. I am mostly a card sender. I began writing to a woman who was going through treatment for cancer 2 1/2 years ago where I write at least once a week. Well, I’m still sending her cards today & will sometimes sit down & make a whole bunch of cards so that I have them ready to send. I am a saver too. Any homemade cards that I get go into a special box & I pull them out from time to time for inspiration. Sounds like you had a wonderful cruise. The pictures are amazing.
I’m more of a card collector. Sometimes the cards I make just seem too pretty to let go of. I’ve solved the problem by taking pictures of my creations. Still hard to let go of them, though! LOL
You cruise pictures are fabulous! I’ve never been on a cruise, but hope to some day.
OH what fun! I have to say I send mine away, truth be told I make the cards as needed. Though occasionally I make one just for fun that I absolutely love and have to wait a while before I’m ready to part with it. 🙂
Oh wow buttons!! I’m more of a card sender. I like making a bunch of cards and giving them to friends and family. The sense of satisfaction is huge when you get to see their reaction to it!
I’m most definitely a sender but every now and again there’s that one card that I find it painful to part with! Mary, I so enjoy your designs. They are sometimes elegant, sometimes playful but always colorful!
I’m both a sender and a saver! I send ALOT of cards. I give card sets as gifts and I make cards for service projects. I also give away 6 handmade gifts a year as random acts of kindness. I also make and send over 250 Christmas Cards a year. I’m currently committed to over 200 items for Convention Swaps, and who knows how many random swapping cards I can make before convention!
And… I have an entire filing system of cards in stock.
My bigger confession is that I’m filled with good intentions regarding digital card making and scrapbooking, and scrapbooking in general. One of these days…..lol!
I hope you are having an incredible and delightful time on your Cruise! You deserve it so much! Thanks for the change to win too. I don’t have this stamp set and I’ve seen such cute things made from it that I’d love to have it. Thanks, Mary!
Oh goodness! I think I have a split personality when it comes to my cards. I will typically set down and make 6 or 8 of the same card. My thinking – I’ll have a card ready to go when I need it. The problem is…I do this every time I make cards or have a class. Although, I do put cards in the mail weekly – I hoard cards away too!
Well Mary I have to confess I do both, I do mail my work but when looking in my room I have several cards that I don’t mail. I have taken a bunch and sent to a church group that gives them to elderly. By looking guess I had better send some more! Thanks so much for your inspiration and your pics are wonderful.
I am a card sender. I love the reaction when I get from people when the receive my cards. I even got a thank you note for one I sent before!!!
I love the pictures from your cruise! What a beautiful daughter you have!! Your blog is my go to site when I need a new idea, want to learn a new technique, or see what’s new!! I’m a card sender and I’m addicted to punches and dies!! Have a great day!!
Share – when I design one, I make four copies of the fronts. Love your pictures of your well deserved trip and your beautiful family. Thank you for all of the inspiration your share with us.
Total card hoarder!!!! I make duplicates a lot of time so that I always have one of my creations to keep! Thanks for the chance to win!
I’m a little of both…I have a very large stash of cards that I have made ready for almost any occasion. I also give away lots! Mary, thank you for all of your inspiration! I love your blog!
I am both a card sender and a keeper. I make doubles so i can send one and keep one.lol
I love to send my cards. I’m reminded of the the saying that it’s nice to give away what you most love. I enjoy sending out my favorite cards and hopefully brightening someone’s day.
I am a sender. But I also give away my cards as gifts to people! I do like to save a copy of each of my favorites! 🙂 Looks like your trip was a blast!
I am a card sender/supplier 🙂 I don’t always send the cards myself…I supply some friends from church and give card sets as gifts, but I’m also trying to send more cards as well 🙂 Congratulations on the 7,000 mark and thanks for offering blog candy!
Hi Mary, Love your cards and check your blog regularly even though not a subscriber. I can never get enough made and usually send all I get done. Love looking at everyone elses work to much. LOL
I would say I’m pretty well balanced. I am a sender, but when I make a card for someone, I make a second for my stash, so when I don’t have time to make a card, I just grab from my stash. Welcome home!
Looks like you had an amazing trip! Glad to have you back, looking forward to future creations! I am a both a card saver and sender…I make at least 2 of everything!
Hi Mary,
I am a card collector! I have a ton and hate to send them out. All the time and money in them, I hate to think of them being trashed. No one will appreciate them as I do… :o) Congrats on the 7000 followers I know I love all that you share!!!
Definitely a collector, unless I make two!
I guess you can classify me as both b/c I usually make 2 of everything. I keep one and send one.
I am a collector! Your pictures are beautiful and I hope you had a lovely time on your trip!
I am a card sender. Love your blog and I check it daily. I hope you and your family had a fantastic time in Alaska. It looks AMAZING! Thanks for sharing!
I’m a card collector and sender. I make cards for particular people ahead of time but I get inspired to make random cards for random reasons. So those are the ones that stay in my stash.

I belong to a card stamping club and we exchange different types of theme cards every other month. I have accumulated quite a collection of cards now but I cannot seem to part with them. I do love making cards for relatives and friends as people seem to really look forward to receiving them. It is interesting to see how cards have changed during the years. There are always new ideas. Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us! You are truly an inspiration! I anxiously look forward to opening your blog each day. Your ideas and helpful hints are most appreciated. Glad you had such a good trip to Alaska. We loved our cruise there too.
I am a bit of both. If the card design is one that I think I would like to make again, I will make two, one to send and one to keep on file as an example. If I get caught needing a card, and don’t have time to make one up, I’ve been known to use my examples though, after first printing a copy of it on my printer.
I am a card collector. I have been doing Stampin Up since 1990–many years of collecting cards. Twice a year in the Cincinnati area we have Stamp Camps where we make 20 cards–10 different designs. Also, I go to a workshop monthly where we exchange 5 cards and make 2 new designs. A year ago I decided to become a Stampin Up demonstrator–mainly a hobbyist for the next year and after I retire from my full time job as a secretary, I will become a seriour Stampin Up demonstrator. For now, I love your blog and have learned a tremendous amount from you. Hope you enjoyed your Alaskan trip–you deserve the rest, but am really glad you did not forget your readers and kept us on our feet with new cards. Thanks again, Mary. You have been an inspiration to me.
Hope you’re enjoying your vacation~
I used to be a card sender, but am definitely more of a card collector.
I always have good intentions, but never seem to get them sent…
Happy day!
Nicole 10 Spooner Ave, Natick, MA 01760
Mostly a sender. If it is one I love, I will make another and hoard for a while 🙂
Hi Mary,
Love your blog, and everything you do. I am both a horder and a mailer. I confess that I am low on “stock.” I tend to have to make a card specifically for each occasion, so those get mailed. It’s the cards that are gifted to me, as sets, that I horde! If someone puts that much love and work into a card for me, I feel like I need to keep them all! (which is so selfish of me)
Hope you had a wonderful cruise, the pictures are stunning!
Carrie
I have to admit I am more of a card collector but I am trying to get better about it and become more of a sender. You are a great source of inspiration for me!
Love the Empress Hotel…my little sister got married there!
A sender. I do wish I would remember to make multiples sometimes!
Mary, I hope a ‘both and’ comment counts, lol! I make cards and send them right away—then there are those cards I made years ago at some of my first SU workshops that I just can’t bear to part with! What I need to do is make copies (after all, I own most of the stamps!) and send them to special people in my life. I’m glad you had so much fun on the cruise. Thanks for the opportunity to win some lovely things!
I am a card sender. Mostly on the spur of the moment. I procrastinate on which one to make or what to say on the inside.
I’m a card sender. I love your ideas and designs. Your pictures of your trip look great. What a wonderful opportunity you and your family shared.
I am just starting out. So right now I’m starting to send out homemade cards of all types. I cannot wait to get feedback from my recipients 🙂 Hope you & your family had a great time on the cruise. Thx for the chance!
I always try to make two of every card I create. But I’m definitely a Hoarder. Even when I make two, I find it hard to give up one. I love to have baskets of samples for students to look through when I hold classes or host an open house. I still have graduation cards due LAST June that I won’t create because I know I’ll want to keep them. . . sigh. The dilemma is: How do you let people know you care enough to make them a very special card without having to give the cards up? I have a deal with two close family members. My mom keeps my cards for 6 months or a year and then asks if I want them back. I also have a deal with my husband. I give him just the card; no envelope, and no writing on the card. I just put a sticky note inside with my loving message. He hates card unless they have money inside (can?t stand clutter; has a difficult time visiting my craft room. He opens cards over the wastebasket; doesn’t read them; just checks for money or gift cards, and drops them right in the garbage. With years of re-training, he now knows to spend at least 20 seconds looking at the card if it is hand made, nod approvingly; and then he hands it back to me so I can continue to hoard.
I am a card sender of the cards I make, however on the cards I receive from swapping…I do hord those so that I can case them. I love your blog! You inspire me! Thank you!
I am a card sender. I love to make cards and often do so for my school when we havea staff member that has a baby, sick,or has a loss in their family.
Mary, wasn’t Alaska just breathtaking beautiful? I’m such a card SENDER!! Best 44 cents spent. Who doesn’t enjoy getting mail; especially when it’s not bills. The neighbor across the street just had surgery. Could have walked her card over, but I mailed it cause receiving mail is so much fun. Really enjoy your blog and thank you for sharing your creativity.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time! I just love visiting your blog for all the inspiration and help. I love to send and give cards but I tend to keep ones for examples too that we learned in card class. But, when charities call I can always weed through my hoard and give them away. Congrats on 7000! A great giveaway – of course I would love to win and run my fingers through those buttons!
Your website is great. Thanks for the inspiration.
I do both. I would sure love to get the buttons. When Stampin’Up first came out with buttons, my friend and I bought some. Awhile later, I asked her ” if she had used any of them” and she said ” No, I haven’t found anyone that is button worthy” :o) So now when we make a card for any of the girls in our group, we incorporate a button someplace on the card. :o) Glad you enjoyed your cruise and WELCOME HOME. Hugs n’ Stuff, Lynne
LOVED our Alaskan cruise a few years ago! I am a card sender. Besides family cards, most of what I make is for a Nursing Home ministry. I am a newby, so I do keep one sample of what I have made in case I want to repeat the design.
Oh yea, I am a card hoarder!!! I do manage to send out a few, but I try and recreate my fav’s!!
I absolutely love your site!! You inspire us ARkansas girls everyday!
I love your blog, and especially your one minute tutorials! I’m both a card sender and a card keeper. I like to have samples of the good cards I create, if the creative juices are flowing that is!
I am defiantly a card sender. I like to give special cards with gift to people who I know it will brighten up their day.
P.S. Your pictures of your cruise are beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
I’m a card sender all the way. I always plan on keeping the card to make another but then I have to dip into my “stash” because I didn’t have time to make another. So there you have it! All my friends and family get one of a kinds!
Hi Mary
I collect and send, but wish I had to time to send more. I keep the ones made at our monthly stamp club meetings, for samples – yeah that’s it 🙂 But I try to make cards for birthdays, holidays, etc, time permitting. My goal is to get a little more organized and be more of a sender. Love your stampin’ room!! Hope you enjoying your trip. The scenery looks just beautiful!
I am a hybrid. I make and send lots of cards but I do save the ones I receive.
Keep up the great blog because without you I would be at a loss for ideas.
Hi Mary, Thanks for a chance to win blog candy. I am a card sender but do have a stash as well. I started making cards for people in the hospital. Then for family, friends & teachers. I think of card designs all the time & take inspiration from you. I love your style. Have a great day.
I recently became more of a card giver, I hate to admit it, but I liked my cards too much to give them away for awhile. Have you ever felt that way? Now I’ve been giving everyone a card for every possible reason and it’s fun to see how much they like and appreciate them.
I have to say I’m a card sender, but I love saving an “extra special card”…but how do you choose? 🙂 I love knowing that maybe I have made someone’s day better with receiving a home made Stampin Up! card,
Thank you for the chance at winning this blog candy !!!
I have three shoeboxes of cards ready to go. It’s always nice to be able to pull one out that’s just right for the occasion. I love all your ideas and One Minute to Wow videos. Thanks for sharing.
I’m a bit of both! I love to create for family and friends, but hoard a few of those that make me smile!
Those I tend to copy from time to time when the creative juices are running low. Been at it so long I’m always looking for new ways to clean out the stash of swaps and samples! Thanks for all of your wisdom, talent, and inspiration, Mary. You are THE go-to gal!!
I enjoy your blog and on-line classes. I am mostly a card sender. Hope you had a great trip.
I thought I was a card sender…but my stash box is full. Love to make cards and scrapbook pages.
Glad your cruise was to our beautiful state…come see Anchorage sometime!
Thanks for the chance to win your blog candy!
OOOhHHH I love blog candy! Im was more of a collector but now Im trying to become a seller! whoot
I’m a card collector and card sender, mostly a sender. However, I save the very best cards for my very best friends and family members (shhhh, don’t tell them that)!
I must admit I have more unsent cards than cards I send but I am trying to change that!
Hope you had a great time on the cruise. From the pictures you posted it looked beautiful.
I am mostly A with a little B thrown in as well. I have a stash on hand but I love sending the cards out.
Hi there!
So is there any way that I can be both A and B? I love to send cards and I do send many cards a month, but I also like to keep cards I have made, so that I can duplicate them later. I love cards. I know people call it “snail mail” but I truly enjoy getting “mail” in my mailbox and so I send lots of cards. You are amazing! Love you blog!
I do hope your having fun on your trip and get to bring back lots of juicy details! I am neither sender or collector yet as I am still getting a feel for card making. I am working on building a stash, organizing my first craft room, and learning all the cool techniques. It is my dream to become more of a sender than a collector. Love your blog…take care and hope you have a happy and safe Memorial Day!
Mary,
I’m a card sender, though I wish I were more of both. I’m always rushing to finish a card. I hope you had a wonderful time on your trip!
I am mostly a card sender but always collect cards that are given to me that are handmade.
Love your blog and your cards.
I am a card sender! My friends and family love getting handmade cards
I love making and sending cards. I have as much fun going through the catalogs/minis and getting my list for ordering new supplies from Stampin’ Up. I also use the techniques learned on my scrapbooking pages.
Hope you had a fantastic trip.
Hi Mary!
I’m more of a keeper than sender, but I have sent off my duplicates. I love all your cards and can’t wait til you share the ideas that you picked up on the cruise. Hope you had a fantastic trip! Thanks for always sharing your photos of all your trips and card samples. Keep those great cards coming we love them all!!!
I’m a card sender. Thanks for all your inspirations.
I make about 100 cards a month and donate them all to the heroes through Operation Write Home. I get to be crafty and charitable all at the same time!! But I have managed to keep all the cards my children have given me over the years. I especially treasure the handmade ones.
That’s an interesting questions….I vacillate between A and B….. a card sender and a card collector. That’s why I always try to make at least 2 (or 6) cards when I make them. I love having a sample around to remake later but my friends so appreciate the cards…
I’d also love to be a blog candy winner…never been one yet.
Your craft room is looking super! Keep up the wonderfully, inspiring work. i enjoy your blog everyday.
I’m not primarily a card sender or a card collector really. I make more cards than I send but I do not save them long. I go through my box regularly and bag the extras up and give them to my friends to send. I don’t like to see them go unused when they can bring both the friends I share with and whomever they send them to some joy. By the way, I love your blog!
I am card giver and collector. I also save up my cards and give stacks to friends and family as gifts! Thank you for the opportunity for blog candy! sounds like you had a terrific time in Alaska.
That’s such a dilemma! I’m soooooooo both. I have two drawers full with cards at my parents’ house, the ones I received before I moved out, and a boxfull in mine. Yes, the problem has become worse over the years… 🙂 I also send my own cards – quite a few of them were inspired by this very blog!
I am a sender. That often poses a problem. If I don’t have time to “make” a card. I don’t get the thought sent! So the moral to that story is “spend more time in your craft room!” Love your work Mary. You are very gifted!
I am a huge card sender and love to remember people on special occasions with a special remembrance with a hand made card, which many say is a gift in itself.
I love your simple energetic style. I am a mix of card sender and card collector. I send a lot of cards, but I also tend to keep a few cards.
I am both a hoarder and a sender; especially the cards I make and sell at our local bazaar where I work. Each year I have dedicated people who can not wait to get their hands on my cards. I love the idea that little pieces of paper that I created are being sent and shared all over the country and in some cases world! Love that.
I am a card sender. But I also photo them before sending. Glad you’re getting back safely and thanks for blog candy offer.
I am definitely a card sender. I get really excited when there is a reason to send someone a card. I do have a few that I have hoarded because I just like looking at them myself! Thanks for a chance at winning…. I love your blog!
I regularly send cards to family and friends, but always have a “stash” of cards on hand. The local Children’s Hospital sent out a request for cards that the children as well as their parents could use, and now my “stash” is gone. Just have to make more!… using the fantastic ideas you share on your page. Thanks!
I’m a card sender but if I really love my creation I make 2 to save. And I just want to tell you how much I enjoy your blog! You NEVER cease to amaze me with your wonderful talent. Thanks for the inspiration!!
Lyn
Wow!! I am one of your new subscribers and I have been loving all the inspiration!! I check every day!! I have to say I am a bit of both…I’ll make make make and then when an occasion comes ng I’ll send it but I def a few cards at home waiting for new homes!!! Thanks for the chance to win and sharing all your fabby ideas!!!

Hi Mary hope you had a great time in Alaska. I am both a card collector and a sender, I used to scramble to make a card at the last minuet but now when I make a card I make four of the same design, then I have one to send, one to keep and two to use in the future. It works really well. thank you for your inspiration.Hva a great holiday.
I hate to admit it but I am card collector. I need to do better. I love Alaska! Hope you hada great time!
Hi Mary,
I have three photo boxes “packed to the gills” with cards I have made in stamp classes and could probably could come close to filling another one. While I don’t send the cards I make in class, I do use them for inspiration. BTW, I received my new Triple Layer Blossom Bouquet punch yesterday and I love it! Thank you!!
Hello. Well, I used to be a “B”-the collector, but now I am an “A” -sender. I realized the joy of receiving a “homemade” card was. It meant a little more to me having someone who took the time to craft one just for me!! So I make many to have on hand to send out at a moments notice, plus those that I “customize” for the special individuals in mind!! I love your website very much! Your ideas are awesome 🙂
Definitely a card sender … but, I always make sure to have a few generic cards on hand for thank yous and birthdays. And I take a pic of the cards that I love and would want to make again. I always save one Christmas card to add to my scrapbook. Thanks to you for all your inspirations!
I am a card sender. I usually make at least 2 of the same card so I keep the idea. I love your blog/ It is such a clean and fresh look. Like your cards. Love it. Thanks Mary.
I’m a card sender 🙂 Love to make cards for my family & friends. Haven’t done a swap in years 🙁 that’s how I started, so the cards I have collected are from a while back, but I do enjoy sending and giving me cards for any occassion 🙂
I am a card sender with a stash on hand. I have kept some of the beautiful cards that my sister sends me. I am trying not to buy any cards this year!!! and just make them all. Glad you had a wonderful trip!!!
Hi Mary!
I used to be a card hoarder….I mean….collector but now I’m a card sender. I started taking pictures of all my cards so I don’t feel like I have to keep every single one any more. What I need to do is go through my stash from when I used to collect and start sending those instead of furiously fashioning a card when I need one right then. Thanks for the chance at the great blog candy!!!
So glad you had a wonderful trip. Great pictures. I guess you can say I do alittle of both. I do send cards out but it is hard to part with some of them. I just love them all. Thank you for the chance to win alittle blog candy!!!
I love the things you do. Very creative. I found you by googling masculine cards. I make birthday cards for the patients @ the VA hospital and masculine cards are a challenge for me. Check out my blog CRDMKR.
I am a card sender. But my stash never has the right card to send, so I am frantically creating that a card that needs to be in the mailbox now! 🙂 And I check out your blog for inspiration and make cards that I want to make again, so my collection grows…
I love to send my cards…what is the point of making them otherwise? Love your blog and simple ideas that make card creating more fun!
congrats on 7000 subscribers! I as definately a sender…so much fun to bless people with a hand made gift in the mail!
Both! Hope you had fun on your trip.
Hi I am Haidan.I don’t send cards but sometimes I give them to people.I am in 3 grade.I am 8and a half.I live in Mo.I would give this gift to my mother as a gift.Thank you
I am a sender for sure….love to send them and then hear people’s reactions…it is a good feeling. Love the candy!!!!!!!!!!
I love making cards and make and send all of our cards now. I have been watching this stamp set and would love to own it. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to do that!
I am a sender who always starts with the intention of keeping the second copy for my collection, but when time is short, I have to steal a few! Thanks for all the beautiful card inspirations and tips. Your trip pictures are beautiful 🙂
Unfortunately, I am a hoarder at this time. BUT, that is going to change this summer because is finally out and I will have the extra time to make and SEND lovely CASED creations!
Thanks for the chance at Blog Candy. YUM!
GeryB
Mary, I am a card “collectiver” – I make them, hoard them, and give (not mail) them to special people who appreciate the love and care that went into them.Congrats on your 7000 subscribers..that is fabulous!
I am a card sender. I love all your cards.
Thank you for offering the blog candy. It’s
a lovely set.
I am both! I often make an extra card to keep for my own collection, but have boxes organized by category, ready to send. My husband is probably the chief “sender” of my cards! How often have I heard him say, “Have you got a card for ____?”? I can only imagine how wonderful your trip was! It is awesome that you earned it, too, with all of your hard work! Congratulations!
I collect a lot of cards, but share them with missionaries from our church. I give an asst of 10 cards to each missionary family who visits our church. I do send and give cards away as well.
I rarely send out my cards! I collect them!! 🙂
I guess I’m one of those “senders and keepers”.
I love making and sending my cards to friends
and family, however, I also love to receive them as
well.
I would say that I am a card collector. I do give away some, but I need to start making two of each card and then it would be easier to let go.
Hi Mary – Love your blog. I am a card sender! All my cards are sent with not one saved as I never make the same card twice!! Most of my friends and family save them so I can’t send the same one again. I do make cards ahead – a year!! I’m pretty organized as I also scrapbook. Thanks for the opportunity for blog candy.
I’m a card sender but I wish I had a stash of cards to pull from so I’m not always rushing around trying to make one at the last minute!
I am a sender 🙂 THANK YOU for your daily inspiration. When I design a card I make at least 4. I call them “finished tops” as they are mounted on an 1/8″ border (4×5 1/4) that will eventually go on a 4 1/4×5 1/2″ base. That way when I need a card I can put whatever saying is appropriate on the base card and perhaps, if I left enough room, add a decorative tag on the finished top with get well, happy birthday, etc.- done!
Confession–my cards are my collection. I use your ideas to create examples for seniors that have various levels of dementia at a day care program. They enjoy creating cards. I hope the cards are appreciated when they take them home. My reward is the smile on their face when they have a finished card to take home.
Card sender — but happy to have one box of cards on-hand in case of emergencies! Love getting inspiration from your blog, thank you!
I am a card sender as I believe that a handcrafted card shows that you care for the person and hence have put in special efforts to create something for them…
Enjoy your cruise & thanks for the opportunity.
Zaheer
I am both. I would love to make 2 of each so I have a copy for myself but I always wait until the last minute so I never have time for 2 cards. Thank you for the inspiration Mary!
i am a card sender. Whenever I make any cards I make an extra one to save or send at a later time. I have not been in a Hallmark store in years!
Have you thought of donating those to someone who can send them overseas to the troops. Either for them to them send home to friends/family, or just a greetings to those troops…Jan
I’m a little bit 1 and a little bit 2. I hate to give away the cards I make cause I’d like to make more like them. But I DO send them, cause I don’t get around to stamping enough to have spares on hand. Give me more time, TIME!! My day for more time!
LOve your blog! I look so forward to checking it out a few times a week to see what awesome cards you’ve created! I am about 50/50. I give away cards that I make, but I try to keepp at least 1 duplicate of the ones I love so that i’ll remember how to make them again.
Thanks for all of the inspiration!

I am both. I love to send cards but I also have almost 2 boxes of cards. One box of random cards and 3/4 of a box is all Christmas cards. I love to go to card classes but also look on you blog for new inspiration. If I make a card I usually make two so that I have one to look back on. Hope you had a wonderful trip!!
I am both. I have a collection of cards I’ve made that I save to look at for ideas. But I do manage to send 5 or 6 cards a month! Love your blog!
I’m a card collector. I even make sure to make two cards when I design one to send, so that I can keep one!
Hope you had a great time on your trip! I think I am a bit of both. I love to give out cards and see the reaction when someone learns that I took the time to make it myself.

Most of my cards I send or hand deliver, but always keep a few for last minute emergency’s. How cool that you earned another cruise trip. My DH and I plan on an Alaskan cruise for our 50th anniversary only 4 1/2 years away….amazing 🙂
I’m kind of both…I make the cards with the intent to send, but for some reason they don’t get sent, so I end up being a collector. I eventually get around to sending them (I should invest in a ‘belated’ sentiment stamp), so I guess ultimately I am a late sender…
Hope you had a great time on the cruise!
I belong to a card swap and receive many pretty cards. Most I save to try and duplicate it but there are a few that I either don’t care for or feel that I would not try to make and those I do send to family and friends. I do have to say, that there are really few that I don’t care for. Thanks for the chance to win your blog candy – looks luscious!!
I am definitely a card hoarder. I can’t bear to give away my cards. The only 2 people who have received one of my homemade cards is my mom and a friend who specifically asked for one she liked (and it was blank). I just need to make 20 cards of one design so it is easier to give them away. I love your stamping room. It gave me inspiration to design one myself.
I have to admit I am a little bit of both. I save 1 card of every one that I make in case I want to go back and remake it I can just measure the one I kept. I hope you enjoyed your cruise!
I’m a card sender Mary 🙂
Hope you had a great cruise,
Thanks for the chance to win some card candy from the most talented card lady I know – YOU!
I am a card collector, ok maybe hoarder. However, I purge occasionally. I also tend to be a card sender, but tend to “whip” them together at the last minute. I am constantly inspired by your creativity, Mary and love your style. Hope you have a safe return to your home – can’t wait to see the new and improved crafty area.
Hi Mary – I’m a card sender, but I also have a stash of my early cards around (maybe just to see how far I’ve come. . .). I love your blog. You have so many great cards/ideas. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent. AND, thanks for a chance to win blog candy.
I used to be a card sender but since I started making cards I’ve been a collector. Trying to figure it all out and learn new ideas.
I am somewhere in the middle-I usually try to keep one and send several. I rarely make just one of a card. Love visiting here for inspiration.
Hi Mary,
Love the Blog Candy! I was going to buy the stamp set last week but chose something else. Well, I am absolutely a card SENDER. I love making cards and sending them to a recent widow to bring a smile to her face or someone who is ill to brighten their day. I just gave a very fun photo file book to someone at a paper craft store as a thank you to her for a nice thing she did for me and she LOVED it! Thank you for all your inspiration Mary and the time you spend to make this a great site for ideas.
Blessings,
Kathy
I am a self confessed card hoarder. Can’t seem to let those ‘paper friends’ go.
Thanks for the goodies!
I’m a sender for the most part…although I’ve had times when I’ve gotten such a stash built up that it takes forever to whittle it down!
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for this blog candy. 🙂 Have a great trip!
I guess I would say I am a card collector. I love to make and send cards, but then I ALWAYS make a ‘sample card’ as well for me to keep and reference later-which I rarely do because I have hundreds 😉
I make lots of cards and sell them for charity and when I NEED a card I either run to my booth and snag one or just make one up. I have learned to make extras to have on hand, but then I usually sell those as well! I also make lots of cards for gifts. I think (and so do the recipients!) that gifts of cards are wonderful! Hope you had a wonderful cruise and come home refreshed and full
of even more inspiration! I love your work!
I am both a sender and hoarder!! I almost always make at least 4 of each card. I give 3 away and keep one for my card box.
Card Sender — enjoy sharing — bringing happiness to others with my creations! Thanks for sharing your ideas — and goodies! Wasn’t ALASKA awesome! Glad you got to go
I have to confess. . . I seem to always be a last minute card-maker, so I send everything I have. I would love to have a boxful of cards in reserve! Hope your Alaska cruise was wonderful. We went on one 6 years ago and it was great!
I love to send my cards. I just worry about sending someone the same kind of card the next time. I need to take pics of which card I send to each friend. I love your web page. It is the best one I have seen. So clean, fresh, and beautiful cards. I like your style.
I am both! Sometimes I’m really good about sending cards & other times they pile up. I really appreciate your ideas & want to thank-you for all the inspiration!
I am a card sender. I really only make them to give away. My family is so large, I can’t keep any if I wanted to!
Wow 7000! I am trying to learn how to set up my blog, so I do not have even myself right now!!!!
Congrats, Love your blog and mostly, Love you!
I can only imagine how wonderful your trip has been! Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this great blog candy. I love getting your daily updates. You make the prettiest cards. Thanks for sharing your talents.
Wow, adorable blog candy! Would love to win!!
I am definetly a card sender. I usually make a card just for the receiver trying to use things that they would like. I do not mass produce.
I am a card sender in a big way!! I’m the oldest of 12 & my husband has 8 siblings so with all the family plus friends, I am always sending cards. It is always amazing to see who is the most pleased by the handmade card they get.(My nephew displays them all year!). I would love to win this prize. I can think of lots of cards for all these goodies!!
Hi Mary,
I am a mix of both. I always make a double set when I go to card parties. That way I will have some cards to send and some to keep. I usually take pictures too! I am also a scrapbooker and sometimes I keep the fronts of cards my friends send me to use in my books. Thanks for this opportunity. Love your blog!
Hope you had a great trip. I am a card sender. I love hearing the comments when people receive a card that I have worked so hard making.
I am a card sender. Love the creativity and the reaction I get from the person who receives the card. Your blog has provided me with a lot of inspiration. Hope your well earned trip to Alaska was all and more then you imagined.
I’m not sure if I am a sender or stasher. I am a player of techniques and dreamer. I am looking forward to time this summer to use some of the ideas I have been collecting. I like to make cards directly for the person/occasion. I also like making fewer cards with unique features rather than making lots of plainer cards.
Congrats on all your subscribers. You are my inspiration. I am both a sender and collector. I usually make at least 2 copies if not more of each card I make so I can send one and keep one for later reference. Thanks for sharing the wonderful pics of your Alaska trip as well as the chance to win.
I am a card sender. Although I do have some cards that I hoard along with some paper and embellies. Hope you had a wonderful cruise and can’t wait for you to show us new things you learned.
I think I am more of a sender. I have only one box of samples that I keep. I send out over a hundred cards a year. I send lots to Operation Write Home. So that accounts for quite a few of my sent cards. And, I send out lots of cards to friends and family too. Any reason to make a card…that’s my motto. LOL
Dear Mary,
I adore this stamp set. I almost bought it the other day but got something else. Love the Blog Candy giveaway. I hope you had a superb time on your cruise! I have something to admit dear. I am an ADDICT! I am addicted to beautiful paper! O.K., I said it. :0D
Blessings,
Kathy Simpson
I’m a collector definitely. If I make just one card, I won’t be able to part with it. If I need a card, I have to make 2. If I really, really love it, I will make several & have them on hand. Hope you got a little R&R on your trip.
Thanks for the chance to win blog candy and congratulations on your successful blog. I love checking your blog out each day. I am a sender, I love to make cards and send them to people.
You’re supposed to send the cards???? That must be why they sell envelopes, huh?
I might not mail them but when I am going to be seeing a friend- I will grab a few and wrap some ribbon around them for a quick little gift.
Mary, congratulations on your very successful blog. As bloggers go, I give you and A plus. I make and send my cards. I do save hand made cards that I receive from others. I have 3 bulletin boards full of them.
Wow, Mary! Congrats on 7,000 subscribers! It speaks highly of how terrific your blog is. I read it daily, and often comment. I especially enjoy your 1 Minute to Wow Video Tutorials! Thanks for the chance to win the yummy blog candy!
Wow, Mary! 7,000 subscribers! Hats off to you. Speaks highly of how terrific your blog is. I read it daily, and comment often. As far as cards….I’m a sender! Sometimes it’s hard to part with them, though. Thanks for the chance to win that yummy blog candy, and keep up the great work!
I am a card collector and a card giver. I rarely send cards in the mail, but I do give them as birthday and Christmas gifts to my friends and co-workers. I love to stamp and scrapbook and this love has brought me & my sister closer together! We both love your blog and all of your beautiful cards! Keep stampin’!
C 🙂
I am a card sender but I do like to keep a box of cards on hand for those last minute occasions when I might not have time to make one.
Congrats on reaching 7000 subscribers…what an accomplishment!
(I apologize if this is a duplicate post but it didn’t seem to post the first time!)
Gosh.. I must confess, I am a collector with side of sender providing I have a duplicate of my favorites. I simply love…love your eye for color coordination and always enjoying see what new idea you have posted for the day.
Ooops! *pictures and dimensions!
I am a card sender but I do have a box of cards I like to keep on hand in case I do not have time to make a card for whatever special occasion may have popped up.
Congrats on reaching 7000 subscribers…what an accomplishment!
Hi Mary!
When it comes to the cards, often make them up in advance so I have some on hand to give as gifts or send out as the need arises. I also keep an extra example of some. And then there are those I make extra special for those extra special people God has placed in my life. To be honest there are some in my stash that have been there for quite a while that I need to part with — but first I need to make a copy for my idea box.
Love your blog. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us. Hope the cruise was fabulous!
Congrats on the milestone and keep up the inspirational work. =) I am proud to be a card sender! It was hard to stop collecting and start sending, but I try to send a “Thinking of you” type card to one person I know once a week. (A journal of pitures and dimenstions of each card help my separation anxiety!).
Hope you had a great time on the cruise.
I aspire to become a card sender, but for now I’m a collector.
I want to be a better sender but lately I seem to be better at collecting…..
I am a hybrid if you will, but if I had to choose one, then I’m definitely a card sender. Today I mailed 5 cards, and two weeks ago, I mailed 7 cards on the same day! May and June are very full of anniversaries and birthdays in my circle. I participate in enough swaps, etc that I am able to stockpile while I send.
I am definitely a card sender. I like to make and give away cards to friends who love receiving them.
I have a hefty card stash but I share quite a bit of them too!
I am a card collector so I make more than one card – so I can keep one and give the others away. Thank you for the great giveaway, and have a great trip!
I guess I am both!! I have many boxes of cards, labeled Birthday, Anniversary, Thank You, Sympathy, Generic,Get Well, etc. So, I guess I’m a hoarder!! BUT THEN, I send them out for every occasion. I take pictures of them I put in an album, so that if I want to make more, I just look them up. I usually have dimensions on the back of the pictures. I love when I do that, and hate when I don’t. I love sending cards, and people think I’m mad at them if I send a purchased card. I could spend all day in my stamp room…all week…no problem! Shirley K.
You give me great ideas and I appreciate that. I make all of our cards and this is a huge savings – for this I thank you. Next year we plan to do the Alaska cruise – so will be looking for pointers!! I really hope that I can win this stamp set!!
I give cards to some people.I live in Missouri.I am in grade 3.I am 8 years old. I am a girl. You are pretty.I love your art.I hope you have a great time.I am a helper.I love math.I am going to give this stamp to my mother. She loves your art.I love your art too.You rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Haidan M
I am a card sender…I just wish I had more time to send even MORE cards. I love creating, but always seem to need one at the last minute! Love your blog, I check in everyday! Hope your cruise is AWESOME
Aloha Mary, I’m alittle of both. I give most of the cards I make away and I also keep an identical one for my “box” as a back up. That way if I need to make a card in a hurry I have a template and can put a card together in a jiffy. Hope you are having a wonderful time on your cruise. I went on an Alaskan cruise a few years ago and just LOVED it. Sounds like the same ports we stopped at. Weren’t the glaciers magnificent?!!
I love your art.I would give this stamp to my mother. She loves art.I would enjoy this gift.I hope you have a nice vacation.I make cards .They are pretty cute. I love ART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi, love your idea’s. I send some of my cards but mostly I keep them so I have a sample. But never make the same card again. I guess I would be a card hoarder.
Linda
I am a card sender, but I usually make two so I can keep one as a sample. Thanks for the chance to win blog candy.
I’m a sender…..just love to make them and send them to folks I know will think a handmade card is the coolest!
I’ve admired this stamp set for some time and would love to own it. Thanks for giving me the opportunity. I really enjoy your website.
I’m a card sender. I hope you are having fun!
I most definitely am a card sender. I make cards for everyone for their birthdays and during holidays and special occasions. Must be beautiful up in Alaska. Enjoy every moment!
Confession is good…I luv to make cards & I enjoy sending them as well. I do have boxes of cards in my stash. At times I donate them or else I give as gifts.
I am both, but mostly because I have times of being “Brain Dead” and needing a card, but have no creativity, so I’ll go to those trusty saved cards for inspiration!
Hope you are having a great time!! Congrats on hitting 7,000!
7,000 huh!?? AWESOME! but not surprising – your work is awesome, and I learn something new every day! I am normally a card sender, but I also try to be a card saver, by making two of everything! then if I have something I like, I still have the idea a year from now when I need a card and feel brain dead! 🙂
Oh I send cards ALL the time. If I like the card and have the items to re-make the card I will make more and save a prototype…BUT If I don’t have all the gear to make more and don’t think I will invest in the items….I will share with a dear friend…
Why be a stamper/card maker if you aren’t going to share your artwork.
Thanks for the opportunity
A card sender:-) Anxious to see all the great tips and techniques you learned on the cruise -truly once in a life time adventure. This is great blog candy.
I must confess that I am a card collector…usually I make two cards–one for me and one for the recipient. But when I need a quick card I hesitate to pick one from my “collection.” My hubby tells me that I am wasting money…I say it’s a lady’s perogative to keep her cards! *:)
I tend to be a collector, which is no good when it’s the day after mother’s day and the cards I made 2 weeks ahead are sitting on my coffee table, looking cute!
Oh, I am a sender and I record every card I give or mail. I don’t want to send someone the same card. I often make a person a card that fits their personality so it is definitely going off to them. Thanks for the chance to win blog candy. You are amazing that you post every day and share so much info. I check in every day.
Hi Mary, I am probably a combination of both…..I also love to get cards!!! I just LOVE your blog….so inspiring!!! Cindy
I’m a little of both. I send cards but always seem to have more then I send. The stash comes in handy though when you forget a birthday or have someone who is sick and you don’t have time to whip one up. Hope you had a great vacation.
I am definitely a card sender Type A. In fact, my mom and two sisters request cards from me for their birthdays, mother’s day, etc. to send to their friends and relatives, too. So I have at least four people to make cards to stash away. I rarely have a lot on hand.
Congrats on your 7000 hits on your blog!!
I am a card sender but I also have some that I just can’t send. Love to give an assortment away for birthday gifts.
I am definitely a card collector. I make lots of cards with the intent of sending them out but rarely do.
oooohh… I would love to win this very SWEET blog candy, thanks for the opportunity 🙂 I am a card sender for sure! My husband comes from a big family and my side of the family isn’t all that small either, plus I love sending cards of encouragement to our church family, thank you cards for every reason (kindness shown, a meal out, gifts, etc.), plus I pen pal with a few friends from “back in the day.” So I send around 500+ cards a year! Thanks for all the inspiration and creativity you share – I then share it will lots of others 🙂
I started out with just one subscriber on my blog as well, me! I’m up to a proud 4 people though (with me still included) and I’m aspiring to be able to share what I love through blogging with tons of people just like you.
I’m definitely a Type A sort of person. I have to photograph all of my cards and keep them on file so I can refer to them later. I’ve even been known to put my creations in envelopes and seal them up before I’ve had a chance to take pictures because I’m so excited to mail them (and get them in the mail on time!).
I Am Mostly A Card Collector. Put I Love To Send Also I Love Cardmaking.
I am a card sender.
I am more of a card collector. I send a few and give a few, but mostly I think I’m a card hoarder. Thanks for the chance to win the blog cany!
Congratulations on going over 7000 visitors – you and your blog deserve the recognition! I am a card sender, definitly! Thanks for offering the blog candy…!
I am a card sender who is constantly trying to catch up. You see, I make one of a kind cards for my exhusband’s clients. He sends them on their birthday, anniversary, get well wishes, condolences and other happy occasions. The only problem is that I live in South Carolina and he lives in Minneapolis, therefore I must anticipate some along with the predictable dates. It keeps me constantly looking for ideas and your blog with the beautiful cards is at the head of my favorites list and my number one go to blog. Thank you for all of your inspiration.
I am a hoarder with my cards. Once I create them I love them so much I hate to send them anywhere. So unless I make 2 of the same cards, they ALL stay with me.
I am a card sender and hoarder! I do wish I had more time to actually make more!!
I am definitely more of a card collector. I save my very favorites for inspiration and the rest I will give away to nursing homes etc. I know everyone has those cards that are just “not up-to-snuff” and I have noticed my style has taken many directions over the years.
Jan
Hi Mary, Hope you’re having a fabulous time in Alaska! beautiful, isn’t it? Much to my chagrin, I am a card collector/hoarder! I make sure all family/friends get their B-Day/Holiday cards, but after that…they go straight to the ‘collection’. Thanks for the candy!!
I am a card sender, albeit a last-minute card sender.
Pretty scrumptious doesn’t even begin to describe this collection of goodies! Wow, I’d really love to be the lucky winner of this!!! We’ll look forward to hearing/seeing about the cruise–at least the part you can reveal until the magic date. Thanks for offering this great prize.
I am definitely a card sender, there is no way I could justify the space in my home and the money spent on supplies if I didn’t send out the cards I make. I also give them away as gifts.
I’m mostly a card sender. I do have a small collection of cards. I loved the picture from Victoria, BC…we live right across the water in Port Angeles, WA! Have a great trip!
I make cards in batches (12) at a time. I give boxed sets to my friends for gifts, sometimes 12 different cards in the set. So, I guess I qualify as a hoarder. I keep one card of all that I’ve made on a clip-it-up. That way it won’t bother me when the last card of that type/style is given away. I can always make more.
I hope your trip was great and that your creative juices are overflowing. Thanks for the chance to win 🙂
I am a card maker, not a card sender. I do send some, but not enough! Isn’t Alaska awesome? Love your blog candy. I wanted this stampset and couldn’t get it. Now’s my chance. Thanks for all of your inspiration & guidance!
Joan!!!
I am a little of both. I have to keep my top favorites but I enjoy sending out “pretties” as well! I love to hear back from people that they enjoy receiving something handmade in the mail. I enjoy receiving cards too and keep them all for when I need some inspiration. Love all that you do and have gotten great ideas from you blog!
I hope you are enjoying your cruise! I am definitely a card “Sender”! I enjoy making them for just about any occasion and enjoy when the receiver calls me and tells me how much they enjoyed getting my card! I like to make people happy!
Definitely a card sender. I love sharing my creations with family and friends. I must confess if I am making one, I make two so I guess that makes me a card collector as well. Can’t wait to read more about the cruise.
I’m A) a card sender. I can’t even remember the last time we bought a card at the store! I don’t make cards as pretty as yours, but I sure do use your blog for inspiration! How I wish sometimes I could be a fly on the wall just to see the reciever’s reaction when they open the envelope and see a card made just for them. And I have even converted my husband and toddler son! They love to make me cards for my bithday, Mother’s Day or sometimes “just because”. They may not know their way around very well with a rubber stamp, but they sure know how to make a masterpiece! = )
I actually am a little of both, because there are some cards I just cannot part with. I send many of them and love to hear comments from people that they appreciate something handmade and that getting a handmade card is very special. I enjoy getting them too and I keep those I receive as inspiration. Love what you do – and have gotten many ideas from your blog!
I do a little of both, but I’m more of a card sender than a collector. Thanks for the fun!
Debra
I usually start off a project as a card sender, but before you know it I turn into a card keeper! I either take too long to finish my project, waiting to the last minute, then in never gets in the mail in time. Sometimes I wonder if I do this on purpose so I can keep them. 🙂
Because I lately only have a chance to stamp when I need a card…fast, I am a sender.
I hate to admit it, but I am more of a card collector, hoarder even. I don’t know why. Maybe because I spend so long making them and I am afraid the recipient will throw it away. I think I need to get over it! Thanks for the chance to win! I have been wanting that stamp set for ages!
I have recently became enthralled with card making. However, the cards I have made are still on my craft table. Hopefully, since I am a teacher, I will find the time this summer to send some cards to friends, sell some cards, and create new ones! I LOVE your website. So many wonderful ideas!
Ah, Mary, you know us sooo well! I have to say I am both! I send cards, donate cards to our women’s shelter, but have hundreds ammassed for every occasion!
Love both your blog and ideas. Have fun cruisin”!
I really want to be a card sender, but I seem to be more of a card keeper!
I’m a card collector for sure! I do occasionaly send one or two cards. I have a hard time of letting go. And congrats on your 7000 subscribers!! Your site is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G – you inspire me everyday!
Born & raised in Alaska, I’m a bit jealous of you right now (okay a lot jealous). I hope you’re enjoying your trip! AK is a BEAUTIFUL place! I am for sure a card sender. I like to make my friends smile! Thanks to your blog – I’ve made many people smile. Thanks for all you do! (:
Congratulations on the 7000 subscribers, must be because of the neat things we find on your site! I am both a horder and a sender. I definitely save every homemade card I get, I don’t save ones I make so much, I haven’t bought a card since my sister started me on this journey of making cards. What fun we have had. Barb
I’m a card sender for sure. But, I need to get a stash going … I’m kind of a make ’em as I go girl.
Thanks Mary – can’t wait to see pictures from the cruise!
Dawn
WooHoo!! Yummy candy.
I would say I’m both. I love giving out cards but then again I have three boxes full of cards that I just can not part with. 🙂
Wow, this looks yummy!! I am a card sender. I make them as I need them and never seem to get ahead!
Have a wonderful trip!
Card sender who loves ‘candy’ ;0
I am definitely a card sender…to all my sisters in Jesus when they just need a word of encouragement or just to let them know I am thinking of them….they all love the homemade cards and most have told me they save every one of them…what a joy to hear that…and I hope I am encouraging all the get them to enjoy life and be peaceful and happy.
Hi Mary – Happy Cruzin’ – I can’t wait to hear all about your adventures! You have a wonderful blog and I look forward to each and every day’s entry to see what you are doing. I have been a stamping fool for 21 years now and like others have said I am more of a combination of hoarder-collector. I even get as far as addressing envelopes and signing cards only to find I never send them because I have no time to write the letter I intended. BUT, on June 22nd I will retire from my day job after 31+ years and I’m hopeful I will be able to change my ways and actually stamp to my hearts content and mail those cards out LIKE CRAZY!
I think that I’m a little of both – “sender” and “keeper.” If the creative juices are flowing and I like a card that I make, I then create several to have as “sender” cards. I also then have one spare for a “keeper” card as a sample. Safe travels home – hope you had a great time!
hi mary-im a card sender and can never keep up on having them on hand when i need them!! thanks
I am ashamed to say that I am a card collector. I am getting better, I have really really good intentions. You are so sweet to do blog candy. I can’t wait to hear about your cruise….and see pictures.
I confess to being more of a collector! I have a hard time to parting with my creations unless I have made multiples of a design. I love your blog and hope I win the candy!
Happy Stampin’

I do both and donate as well. I look forward to your blog everyday. Thanks for being such an inspiration! Susie
Congrats on reaching 7000+. Your blog is amazing!
I am definitely a B, although I do send some cards out once in a while.
Hope you a great vaca. Thanks for the chance to win!!

Glad you are enjoying your well deserved trip. I am definitely a card sender. I cringe anytime I think about purchasing a card. I am also a collector as I like to re-create many of the cards folks share on their blogs. I have enjoyed your blog for quite some time. Congrats on hitting 7000!
Both… Often when I make a card to send, if I really like it I’ll quickly make a second one to have on hand, and to have as a reminder for re-making and/or tweaking. Designing can take so much longer than making them, so this way once I have a design I like I get two cards for not much more time.
Well I must confess, I am “B” a card collector. I get together with some friends to make cards and keep all of them. Then when I need a card to give I have to make something quick to fit the person. I do use my stash for ideas.
Oh Yeah, I am a “card collector”! If I want to send a card I’ve made to someone, I make a new one just like it and keep the original for my “collection”! Just one box of cards in my collection? You must be joking! Jeanne
I may be more of a card collector but I do make card gift sets to give out. If I really like a card design, I will make two….one to keep and one to give. But because of what Kim posted regarding her mother, I think I will turn into a card sender. She’s so right about someone receiving a card in the mail helps to brighten their day.
I am new to crafting, but I have done a few cards for family! I love finding blogs like yours to follow so I can get ideas and inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing and I look forward to following your blog spot for more amazing ideas!
Mary, I’m theoretically a sender. I make cards for my 7 siblings and their families who live all over the country. Even my brother-in-laws now complain if they get a store-bought card. Not to mention the cards I send to my step-mother, father, aunts, friends, etc. So I’ve got a lot of cards going out every month. But I also have my “inspiration” cards–cards that I’ve made in a class or received from a friend. I’ve got boxes of those!
I send out most of the cards I make but occasionally I will make a card that I have a hard time letting go:-)Thanks for a chance to win the awesome blog candy!!!I hope you are having a glorious time on your cruise!
Inky hugs,
Janet
Hope your having a BLAST on the cruise Mary. You’ve earned it, keep up the awesome inspiration. I’m sure you’ll return with renewed vigar to stamp, stamp, stamp. I try REALLY hard to BOTH give as much as I make. The made pile grows a bit faster than I can give though. I really need to become involved in a “card charity” to liqidate my makings.
I keep a nice collection of cards for display, but I try to be more of a card sender. I don’t like alot of clutter, plus it is good advertisement for your business! Congratulations on earning the incentive trip and thanks for all the great things you share on your blog.
I am definitely a card sender. I love when people open the envelope and go “oh how beautiful, did you make this?!” it put a big ol smile on my face!
Hope you had a great trip, can’t wait to see your photos! And thanks for opportunity to win!
I’m definitely a card sender! I can’t bring myself to mail anything mass-produced anymore. (I will venture inside a Hallmark store at the holidays to see the ornaments, though.) But when making a card, I generally make at least a twin (sometimes I end up with a litter – making four or six identical at the same time). Still, those find their way in the mail. But each does get a photo session and (if I remember!) a trip through the color copier feature of our printer. : )
And congratulations on such a big milestone!!
P.S. Wasn’t Alaska gorgeous?!?
I am a card sender. As a part of my legal association, I send birthday cards to the members. However, there are some cards I just cannot part with.
I am a card collector. I really prefer scrapbooking , but my friends are card creators! I love your blog and enjoy the artwork that you share with all of us! Have a wonderful trip and enjoy the relaxation!
Definitely a card sender, but a paper collector!
Oh goodness, you caught me! I am a card hoarder. But I must say that when I need a really special card for someone, it’s wonderful to know that I will always have one to send!
I think I am a little of both. I love to send the cards I make but I’ve made so many that even though I send them I still have a good collection just waiting to be sent too. Thank you for all your inspiration!
I’m both. I make cards to send and always make a copy to keep. Plus I take pictures of all the cards and store them on my computer. I need to do two today so I’d better get moving. Hope you enjoyed your cruise. And, congratulations on your 7000th!
Congrats on your 7000 subscribers. While I love to send cards, I am really a collector.
I used to be a card collector but I just recently got the “brilliant” idea to take a digital picture of my creations before I give them away. Funny to see that so many others came up with that same “brilliant” idea! Thanks for the chance at blog candy. I just LOVE your blog.
I am a collector. I try to keep one example of each card I make. I say it is for use as a demonstrator… I do have a container of cards that I do send and give to people though. I love love love giving people my cards. And I love hearing my customers pride when they share their cards with friends. We love your designs and style and I use them for inspiration often!
I am a card sender. I love to create and find all sort of “reasons” to share with others. Can’t wait to hear about your cruise trip. Waiting patiently…
I am a card sender and just began this journey last Halloween and am completely hooked!!!
I’m definitely a sender….love sharing my handmade cards with others! Hope your cruise was wonderful. Thanks for the chance to win some great stuff.
What fun blog candy!! I love to send cards to show people how special they are to me. I now take pictures of cards before I send them so I have a folder of ideas when I can’t think 🙂 Thanks for always sharing your ideas with us. I just used the scallop card idea this morning (the one mimicking a dress with pink, brown, and green 🙂
Hi Mary,
I’ve been lurking around your blog for quite a while now, and I wanted to thank you for the wonderful inspirations you so often share. My mother was visithing this past week, and I showed her your site, and she sat and watched all of your tutorials.
I guess I would be considered a card keeper…although I do make sure to send cards to friends and family when the occasion arises.
Happy Stampin’,
Nanc
7000!!! Oh. My. Goodness. You could populate
a small town with your followers!! Congratulations,
Mary!
I’M BOTH!ILUV TO MAKE,KEEP AND SEND CARDS.I LUV YOUR WOW CARDS AND ALL THE GREAT IDEAS YOU ALWAYS GIVE YOUR ADORING FANS.THANKS FOR A CHANCE AT SOME BLOG CANDY.
I’m a card sender or I like to package them up and give them away for others to send out. I either scan the card or take a picture so that I have a copy incase I want to make it again.
I hope you had a wonderful trip and welcome back.
I am a new card maker. I send a few here & there, but mostly save them. Love your blog candy. I am a button- a-holic. Hope you have lots to share when you get back from your trip. I love Alaska!
Jeanne
Me? I’m a saver and a sender. I make cards when inspiration strikes and save them. But I rarely send them out because I enjoy looking through them. However, I am very good about making and sending cards when the occasion calls for it. Hope your trip is everything you want it to be!
I never make just one card (usually 6) and then I have some to send, some to keep for emergencies (my daughters are always raiding my stash), and some to give. I love being able to gather a variety of cards and tying them up with a pretty ribbon to give as a gift for someone else to enjoy using.
I’m a little of both as I like to make cards but don’t make more than 1 as short for time but do keep alot thinking I’ll copy it
Love your posts & get ideas
I am a newbee I haven’t made good enough to collect or send still experimental stage. Thanks for the chance to win blog candy.
I confess to both! My stash is organized into 8 card boxes and I send a ton of cards to friends and ministries each month. I love that stampers are so giving!!!
I graciously say I’m a card sender. I have not purchased a single greeting card in about 15 months, YIPEE !!! But I’ve done alot of purchasing of supplies to make the cards 🙂
I love to make cards, I do have a full box but will send out my cards when the holiday arises. I hope you had fun on your cruise.
Hi
I am an (A) a “card sender”. I love to hear how others like my cards — okay, and I might like the compliments that inevitably follow.
Mom always calls to tell me that she received the card, and then she tells me how pretty the card is.
Yes, I happily send my cards!
I make cards to give away. Then sometimes I forget what I made. Should keep one as a template but just love to send them as I’m told my receivers love them! Love your blog!
Hi Mary, I trust that your having a WONDERFUL time on your Alaskan Cruise, SO JEALOUS!! I am a card SENDER, LOVE the excitement when they call to tell me how beautiful the card is !It gives me such joy ! 🙂
Susan

I am a card sender. I have to justify my stamp, paper, etc addiction! Hope you had a wonderful cruise.
I’m mostly a sender. I’ve got a box with all the cards I’ve made in it. If the box gets over full, I put together a flat rate mailer full of extras that I didn’t end up sending out myself and donate them to Operation Write Home.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I would have to say I am way more a collector rather thaen a sender but i do need to send out more cards in the future. Hope you had a great trip!!
I guess I am a bit of everything…card sender, collector and maker!!! 🙂 Tee hee!
Congrats on your milestone and hope you had a good trip to Alaska!
I would have to say I am more of a card collector
I hope you are having a great time on your Alaskan cruise. That cruise is on my wish list. I am a card sender and need more time to create cards. I visit your website & CAS many of your beautiful cards. You’re an inspiration! Thanks for a chance to win the blog candy.
Hi Mary! Hope you had a wonderful time on your cruise! I would have to say that I’m a little bit of both. I definitely send out my cards, although I still have a stash of my favorites!! 🙂 Thanks for the chance to win!
Julie L.
Mary, your cards are the best and your posts are so much fun! I am unfortunately a card collector. I have 4 shoe boxes sorted by theme. I enjoy making cards and don’t always follow thru with the sending of the cards. I am working on remedying this as I find less and less time to make them so I end up sending out what I have.
Hi Mary! Hope you are having as much fun on your Alaskan cruise as I did on mine! And thanks for the opportunity to win this fabulous blog candy.
I’m both a card sender and a card collector. I send almost all the one’s I make, although I often will make a copy of the card I’m sending for my own collection. And I collect the cards I receive from others either in swaps or as a personal card to me. And I have more than one box holding my collection!
I’m a bit of both LOL! A few stores carry my cards so I have an inventory that I keep. I also make cards to send to others – love personalizing them and making someone’s day 🙂 Hope the weather is cooperating so you you can enjoy the beauty of Alaska all the more!
I’m a card sender. I love to hear the comments from the people that get my cards. Mary your blog is the best!! 🙂
I make cards to give as gift bundles, and they always receive oohs and ahs. As the gift receivers exclaim their delight, they are singing their praises to you, since many of my ideas seem to spring from your samples. I never really was that excited about card-making until I stumbled onto your sight. Now I’m something of a fanatic, who knew?! While I’m confessing…I always make my cards in duplicates, to keep one for myself. I like to consider them as my works of art.
Hi Mary. I am a CARD SENDER. I really enjoy making cards and your blog is the best. Cherish the memories from your cruise to Alaska. I love your “WOW videos”.
I am a card sender. EVERYONE gets a card from me and I love to send them.
WOW! You’re relaxing (I hope) and still thinking of us. THANKS
I hate to be “one of those” but I pretty much do both. If I love the card I save it as an example so I can make another one. But, I rarely get around to doing that because I make almost all of my cards individually for the person and occasion. BUT, then again I send the majority of my cards because they are made so personal.
Hi Mary, 7000…woo..hoo! A card sender I am….BUT, I do have a couple boxes of cards from many classes! BUT…I do take from that stash also to share! 😉 Hope you had a blast on your Cruise!
I am a card sender but a card saver when I get homemade cards fromm friends. I would LOVE to win your blog candy…feeling a little blue and buttons would sure cheer me up 🙂
Mary,
I would have to say that I am a combination of both type A and B. I make lots of cards to send out, however I usually keep one for myself so that I can reproduce it if I need to.
Thanks for your inspiration and card making ideas. I enjoy reading your blog everyday.
Elizabeth
I love to make cards especially designed for the specific person that I’m sending it to, however, I then have trouble sending it because it’s so cute! I’d say that I’m a collector.
I would have to say I am a little bit of both. I always have a box of cards on hand but it takes me a while to part with the ones I really love!
I am both! I send lots of cards, but also collect them as well as it’s nice to have a stash. With two young kids I don’t always get lots of time to work on cards, but when I do, I make a bunch to add to my stockpile.
Rachel
What yummy candy! (And completely fat-free. Heavenly!) 😉 I’ve turned into a card sender, I’m happy to say. I love giving gifts, and about a year ago, when my dad was appointed to the bench in Colorado, I was stuck on what to get him. So I scrounged in my stash and made him a card. He loved it! That’s when I realized that my handmade cards WERE gifts for the recipients. So I became a confirmed sender. (And boy could I use some more material in my stash!)
Sounds like much fun was had by all in Alaska. What a fantastic trip! Hope you had lots of time for R&R.
I am both. I make lots of cards that I send out, make for others to give and I usually make one for myself which I save. Thanks for a chance to win. Aloha!
I love your blog!! I’ll have to say I’m a card sender. I just love creating cards and projects to make people smile. Getting a handmade something really makes people happy.
Thanks for the chance to win this awesome blog candy!!
I used to be more of a card collector, but when I had to throw out cards because they look too dated, I decided to send out more cards. I have a little “stash” on hand for the unexpected, but I look at the calendar at the beginning of the month and then make the necessary cards right then. …I never have a short answer for anything!
I guess you could say that I’m bipolar. I make two cards at a time, one to send and one to keep. That way I have a reference of the one I keep to reduplicate at a future date. Hope your trip was fantastic.
I’m gonna say 50/50. I maintain a stash, but when a card or card set is commissiond, I will create my masterpiece and give it to the buyer…most of the time, forgetting to take photos. Sometimes, it’s my best work, because I got paid to do it. Either way, the joy is sitting back and seeing the finished product that “I” made.
Thanks for a chance to win the goodies. Hope you’re having a blast.
Sadly, more a collector than a sender. Can’t wait to see the wonderful stuff you learned/got on your trip.
I heard about your site and have thoroughly enjoyed all the ideas. You have a gift for the use of color and creativity. I give and collect cards I make. I have more of a collection as I want to have samples hoping to use the ideas in the future. Thank you.
I’m a little bit of both. I send a lot of cards but I have a lot of cards also.
Mary, hope your trip was GREAT! Cannot wait to see all your new ideas. You have an amazing talent. Thanks so for sharing with us. I am a collector, at least I like to call myself that. I do send lots of cards but have to keep that first one as a sample. I love making your card ideas. What I do not want anyone to find out is what Kathy Harding called it, I am a “Hoarder.”
DSP I always have to buy 2 packs so I will still have some to make “that great card” you did with one of them, and I am sure I will need more to make it again later, right? I am so sick, but love it! Happy Stampin
I send a few cards to family and friends to celebrate special occasions or to express my gratitude, but for the most part I make them for my daughter who then sends them to her friends. She confessed to me recently that keeps most of the cards as she thinks they are very special, beautiful and unique.
oops….forgot to let you know that I am a card sender!!!sorry….
Lori
I would love to win and would also love to be with you in Alaska right now!!
I’m a card sender but I wish I were a little of both. It seems like I’m always rushing to make a card at the last minute.
Hope you are enjoying your voyage!
I’m a card sender. I make cards for chemo patients to send to friends and family while having chemo treatment. They had a hard time at first realizing the cards are free…..now….I’m busy keeping the card basket full.
I am definetely a “card sender”, althought I must confess that I do keep some on display for others who visit my home to look at!
Wishing you a safe return from this wonderful cruise.
Betty Todd
Hope you’re having a wonderful time! I wouldn’t classify myself as a card collector because I do send out a lot of cards. However, I have a HUGE stash of cards just waiting to find their way into someone’s mailbox!
I am a card sender and always up against a deadline. Wish I could get ahead and start hoarding. Congratulations on your Alaskan Cruise and 7000 reader!
I am definitely a card sender. I would like to build up a stash though so I am not always making cards at the last minute!
I’m more of a card sender. I’ll take a picture of the card first and then send it off!
Hi Mary, Alaska is one place I haven’t been. I hope you are enjoying your trip. I am a card sender and was happy to find your blogs as I am crafty but not creative. Love the ideas you share.
I love being a subscriber to your blog through my google reader–I don’t want to miss a post. I probably fall right smack in the middle of your two categories, but although I want to be a strong A, I’ll have to say I am really a B. Shame on me.
Wow, Kathy I am a “H” also. Cannot bear to say or type the word. Wished they take that show off TV before my Hubby comes across the show. lol
I have to keep my sample! I will make lots and send them but never can part with that first one.
I am a card collector. I do occasionally send a card but nearly as often as I save one for the future. I love your blog. Thanks for sharing!
I’m a card-maker/collector! Usually let my good intentions expire by not getting around to sending the card I made specifically for someone. I’m getting better though. Now, instead of being too perfectionistic, I’ll grab a card from my stash and send it rather than trying to make one totally custom for the person.
Hi Mary! i hope you had a fantastic time on the cruise-one of these days Ill be on that trip! I love the Sew Suite line and would lobe to win some extras! To answer your question…Im a collector. I have 8-10 photo boxes full of cards. Recently I have started mailing them and giving stacks away as thinkin of you gifts though. Anyway…welcome back to dry land!
I’m a card sender. In fact, the only cards I have on hand are ones that I didn’t think were worthy to be sent when I finished them! Thanks for the chance at the fabulous blog candy!
I do make a lot of cards to give away but I enjoy keeping cards I have made to look back on for ideas. I agree with a previous comment….I have a hard time letting go of something I have made and really like! I’ve gotten to the point where I make a copy of cards that I send out that I really like and keep the copies in a binder.
Hope you had a wonderful time in Alaska, Mary. I’m hoping you’ll share some pictures of your trip. I am a sender and a collector. I just love making them.
I have a sort of card ministry where I teach a group of ladies from our church how to make the cards. We pray over the members on our prayer list, then we make and send our cards to those who need them. I, also, have a large collection of my own handmade cards arranged in boxes according to occasion. So, I nearly always have a card ready to send whenever one is needed. I am forever looking through and admiring all the pretty cards that I have made. I am not extremely talented, so I pick up all my ideas from those of you who so generously share your talent with others. Thanks for all you do, Mary. I appreciate you SO much!!
I check your blog everyday and I am always amazed at the beautiful results of your cards. You inspire me to stamp more often and have more fun with my cards. Thank you for offering blog candy, maybe my number will come up someday.
Congratulations on 7000!! I am SO pleased to be one of them :o) I am most definitely a ‘sender’. I have sent cards to family and friends for as long as I can remember. I would go the last week of every month to buy cards for the next month but I have a special box that is sorted with tabs for all occasions so if I found the perfect card for someone ‘out of the month’ I would put a sticky note on it to designate. My goal is to fill that box with my own creations! But for now, I am ‘last minute’ at my desk making the perfect card to fit my recipient ~ and enjoying every minute of it :o) I hope they appreciate them, but I feel good about having a wedding card to match their invitation or birthday card that ‘just fits’. When I look at your daily blog I can tell right away who it would be perfect for. So again, thanks for the ideas!!
I almost didn’t comment, since there were so many ahead of me, but confession is good for the soul… 🙂 I’m a hoarder, but I hope to change that! Hope you are having a wonderful trip.
Mary…I have enjoyed all your posts and have gotten some fantastic ideas. I find can say that I’m both a “sender” and a “saver”. I try to do a sample of each card that I have made (doesn’t always happen! LOL). I’m in a few challenges…so, I’ve acquired a few cards there. Those come in handy when I need a quick “go to” card. Your layouts have come in handy for these challenges when I want something different than I normally do. Thanks for all the great info you send out…the videos are so helpful!
Mary I am a “SENDER”. I send almost EVERY card I make, or I give in gift sets for birthdays, etc. and I also make for the Troops through From Our Hearts.
Thanks for a chance at some yummy blog candy. It’s looks good enough to eat.
Hello Mary
I am both a card collector and a card sender. I try and make a 3-4 cards at a time. I have a small collection so I am prepared to have all types of cards available. I love your blog site. I visit it everyday. Thank you!
I am DEFINATELY a CARD SENDER ! I love sending people cards, although I must admit that I DO receive cards FROM the people I send cards to at times, which is VERY EXCITING for me. I have 5 people that I send cards to that SAVE my cards…..and to me this means a great deal knowing that my cards are enjoyed and kept. I even have one person that has put my cards in a large frame and the frame is in her “Stamping Room ” Yay! Now how wonderful is that ! ?????
I know you dread returning home. I went to Alaska the summer before last and spent the entire last day looking out at the scenery. I live in a beautiful place (Florida) but have never seen such majestic beauty as I did on my Alaskan cruise. Anyway, congrats on your achievement. Your blog was the first one I subscribed to and I have gained inspiration every single day, so thanks for that. I am mostly a sender. I usually make cards with a particular person in mind. I do have a small stash in case of a quick need. Welcome home!
I definitely fall in the card sender category. I also make all the cards for my mom to send out for her occasions (as well as over 200 Christmas cards every year) and I make all the birthday cards (and other occasions) for my coworkers. I do have a box of cards tucked away though. When i make a card I like, I make a second and squirrel it away to case in the future.
I am a Card Sender, almost as soon as i make them they are sent out, and i work at a mortgage company so i tend to make a lot of birthday cards here. 🙂 Love your blog i check every day to get ideas, thank you so much!
I am definitely a sender and create reasons to send a card!! I haven’t been able to make a stash to have on hand because I like to make the card with a specific person in mind- using colors, themes they would like. I make up reasons to escape to my office to create, for me and for the recipient!!! Its a win-win.
I would have to say I’m definitely a card sender. Most of the cards I make are because I need to send a birthday card out! There are some cards I love so much I don’t want to give away… So I just make another one and keep it. 🙂 teehee.
Hope your cruise is amazing and thank you for this opportunity!
I guess I fall in to the ‘B’ catagory because I definitely have more than 1 box of beloved cards in my stash but I HAVE to try all the new techniques and have ALL the cute new stamps and paper that I see! I’m hopeless but I’d still love to win your blog candy and add to my collection.
I am definitely a card collector. Really HOARDER would be a better description. I have to create at least several days a week. I just don’t know many people to send them to. I admit when I do make one to send I then also make one to keep. Crazy, Addicted but I love it.
I am mostly a card collector. I like to make 2 or more cards so I can keep one, and sent the others. I love visiting your blog, because you always inspire me to create something fresh and new. I love your style!!!
I am a card sender I guess. I do have quite the stash though, since I make them all year round and then every year in November we have a sale for missions and they get donated for that.
I am in Canada, but we live right by the border, and I have a shipping address in the town across the line! Ever hear of Ship Happens? It’s the best!
I’m a card sender and a card maker–I have a big supply of cards but keep on making them to try new things!!
Lol! I have to make two of everything so I can keep one in my collector box!! I love your card designs! Can’t wait to hear about the incentive trip to Alaska! Will you be at convention?!? – hope so! Looking forward to meeting you!!
I would love to say (A) but confess that I am in the (B) category…but what’s even more important to me is that you actually had a (B) category. This makes me feel that someone else might have a few beautiful creations laying around (wink, wink).
Hugs~Jane
I am a card seller. I love to make them. Obsessively. Thanks for the chance to win wonderful candy
I’m a “B” – card keeper – I just cannot mail them – and it has to be in an emergency – last minute thing, when I use one of them. It’s awful, I know. I’m getting better slowly. Congrats on “7000” – that’s awesome. Thanks for the chance to win candy.
Hope your cruise was wonderful! I’m a sender – I have a small stash and if the creation is a “keeper” I’ll make a color copy of it before I send it out so I can make it again.
Hi Mary, I hope you had a wonderful time on the boat. I am both. I do keep a lot of swaps that I get. I do send out a lot of card hoping to cheer people up. I missed getting this set and would love to have it. Thanks, Denise
I am the biggest card collector who have ever seen. I love getting and making my own creations. Your blog is the first thing I look at each morning to see what wonderful delights you have come up with using SU products. Thanks for being you.
Hi Mary….I hope you have enjoyed every last millisecond of your vacation. As for me, I am a card sender….I have sent almost every one that I’ve made in every class!!! And since I’ve found you, I’ve made more with your clever ideas with a Pam touch added to them!!!
Thank you for all you do…love your tutorials and the online classes since I can’t get to you in person!!
Looking forward to next week already!!
Pam
I am definately a card sender. I love to see the expressions on the faces of the receivers. I try to have a bunch made ahead but that stockpile is shrinking quickly.
I am a card collecter but I have sent and given some to family.
Mary, I love love love your website and have visited it for a few years now. I always find something inspiring! I guess I’m a mix of the two: I have a big collection of cards that I’ve made but when I need to/want to send a card, I go right to my stash.
Thank you for the opportunity to win some blog candy!
xo
I’m both a collector and a sender! I tend to make several cards once I design one, sometimes identical and sometimes with a few variations. I send the card for the intended person and then put the rest in my stash.
I am more of a card sender. I am a high school math teacher. In previous years I had students sign up for me to make them a card on their birthday… I had about 20 out of 100 students sign up. I currently teach in Milwaukee and I was astonished at how many students I had sign up for birthday cards. Needless to say I fell behind on my goal this year. My goal is this summer is to make over 200 cards and give one to each student on their birthday. Most of my students have difficult home lives so if I can encourage just a few I know that I am making a difference!.
I guess I’m a little of each. I do send cards that I make for the special people in my life, but I just love looking at the cards I keep in a pretty box. They are like my children…which do I like best? ALL OF THEM! You are a great inspiration and I hope you had a great time on your trip!
There is no denying the fact that I am a card hoarder. I love making cards, but I rarely send any out! I must confess though, last year my mother was the director of the Relay For Life event in Red Bluff, California and I made (and sent) her 75 Thank You cards to send out to her team captains. I don’t always get cards out, but I try!
I confess…I’m a card hoarder! I have to make 2 of the cards that I really like – one for me & one to send! Have a great trip! Can’t wait to see all the fun stuff you saw and made!
I am a card collector…and a sender!! I make 2 at a time…1 to keep and 1 to send! 🙂 LOVE all of your creative ideas! Thank you for inspiring!! Hope you are enjoying your trip!
I am learning to be a CARD SENDER! I have recently just realized how special it is when I receive a card in the mail and am trying to be better about sending cards.
I am both! I love to send them but I also love to make them and give them away as gifts. And then there is the collecting part, the ones I might need as samples some day.
I can’t wait to hear all about your Alaskan cruise, Mary!! Congrats on over 7000 subscribers!
Lately, I’m a card collector – I used to be a sender but I’m more of a collector now. I need to get on the ball and send out the pile of cards that need to be sent out ASAP! And then I’ll be a senector (sender/collector in one). LOL
I am more of a card sender… but occasionally I stash them away waiting for the right person to send to!
Probably more of a card sender, I’m usually making one as I need to send it out!
I fall in between A and B. Over the last year I’ve posted over 150 cards on splitcoaststampers (not including major holiday cards) and out of the 150 I’ve posted, I still have about 30 in my box, which were mainly daily challenge cards. So I think of myself as more of an A than a B.
Thanks for all you do Mary!
sweeeeet candy!!!
I’m a sender!:)or the chance to win
Thanks for the chance to win
I am absolutely a card SENDER….my friends marvel at the time I take to do this…if I didn’t, I would have a room full of cards and nothing else!! Love to send them on and the ones who don’t make it to my friends, go to Operation Write Home….check it out.
(workshop means your craft room) 🙂
I was debating whether to say I am a “sender” or a “collector” and after looking at my craft storage area, I think I’m all of the above and more! All of my stuff is like rabbits – it keeps on multiplying. I’m so addicted I just want it all! Love your website and your blog. Thanks for all of the wonderful ideas!
I am a fairly new SU demonstrator, and your blog was one of the first I subscribed to. You have the most wonderful designs and learning videos. I love your workshop too!! Since I’m fairly new to holding regular workshops, I would have to say that my collection of cards has multiplied very quickly over the last 6 moths and I LOVE IT!!! The downline meetings are one of my favorite ways to learn and collect new card designs. I love coming home after the meeting and just taking out each and every card and admiring the creative works of some amazing ladies!!
I’m a card sender with a capital S!!! I love remembering people with a thank you, a happy birthday or a simple hello! My friends and family totally appreciate a hand made treat as much as I do! As far as I can tell…..I’ll keep the post office in business buying stamps. Please keep your samples coming….they help me so much! You are such an inspiration.
I am a card SENDER!! I take pictures of my cards and keep them but I send a lot of cards and enjoy making someone’s day! Thanks for the chance to win so pretties!! Can’t wait to hear all about your trip and what you received, learned etc…
I’m a total card collector, but I’m trying to get past that. I just need to learn to make 2 of everything I create so I can keep one for inspiration and send the other one out!! I think I can, I think I can, I think I can…..
Can’t wait to hear about all the goodies from the cruise!
7000 hits. I can certainly understand. Your blog inspires me daily. I am a card sender, friends and members of my church. My husband will hear of someone ill and say Send a card! Thanks for a chance to win.
I am a card collector. I hate giving away the cards I make, I love to just look at them for awhile. When Im done with them they go in a box. LOL Thanks so much for a chance to win some blog candy. Hope you had a fun trip.
Hi Mary,
I would say I am both! I am for sure a card sender and I love making cards for people. I even sell some now too. I also have many friends that send me handmade cards and I do save them. Card Making is so much fun. I have some friends with cancer right now that I send cards too and people don’t realize just what a card can do for someone! It can make their week so special. Good job on all your stuff!
Both, mostly a collector though! I can’t part with them especially if they are a really fancy technique or fold because I won’t remember how to case it again without the original!
I am a card sender. I do have a box for my doubles as I try to make two cards each time…one to send and one for when I don’t have time and need a card NOW! Thanks for the chance to win your wonderful blog candy.
jmniffer at comcast dot net
I am both!! I do send cards out all the time but I also have 3 boxes of cards that are complete!! I guess I need to send more cards out in the mail!!
I am a card sender and I hoard the ones my friends send me…even from my one friend who makes me card to enhance my stash! Thanks for the chance at blog candy. LOVE your site…I check it everyday!
I’m a little bit of both! I love making cards and am usually frantically looking for ideas for that special card. I hope to have a box full of ready made cards to pick from. But I do like to make a card to fit the person at the time.
Can’t wait to hear all about your cruise (on my bucket list for sure).
Collector/sender….ummmmmm, that is a hard one, because I do have a large collection of cards I have made but I do send alot also. But if I had to pick one, I guess it would be collector. I admit it, I have a hard time parting with some of the cards we make in class.
Teri in SoCA
Card collector. I am trying to improve. Love your blog.
I am a sender and a collector (I refuse to use the term hoarder!). I send them out, make them to have on hand to send out and share them with the church prayer ministry. There is this one box, though, of those that I just love to look at again and again.
What cheerful, colorful blog candy! I am actually both…when I’m in the mood or inspired to make random cards, they don’t always get sent out. But, I have a hard time using one of those cards later to be sent. If I have a specific need to send a card, I prefer to design a card specific for that person. I guess I’m a little weird 😉
I do have quite a few cards in my stash but I also send out a lot of the cards I make. Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy.
I am definately a card sender. For Mother’s Day I made and mailed 25 cards to mostly single moms that I know from church. I also like to mail cards to all the gals in my Sunday school class on the week of their birthday.Still find it a challenge to cut and mail the ds paper! What is up with that?
So can I confess to both A & B!!! If not, I’ll deny it all. I’d love to win your blog candy…since it’s calorie free….I love your clean design and your wonderful designs that inspire me!
Highland, Utah
I am both! I send cards frequently but if there is only one of a card I have made I tend to skip that one “in case” I want the pattern to make another!! That is why now I always make two of each card I make! It works better.
I probably need a support group to help me overcome my card collection obsession. It’s very difficult to part with my cards even though I know it is necessary, LOL. Keep inspiring us. Thanks, LM
I enjoy your blog & daily posts. It is something I look forward to seeing every morning.
I have to say that I WAS a card collector, but now that $ is tight I am a sender. It is so nice & cheap to have all these cards already handy.
I am definitely a card collector (I wish I only had one box!) I am getting better though, I now make two of the same cards and put one in the collection box and one in the “to be sent” box. Thanks for sharing with us!
A card sender,I usually get my cards done just in the nick of time to get them mailed. I hope to someday have a surplus, but with three children I haven’t been able to manage that yet. Hope you had a wonderful vacation!
Collector I guess, I don’t have that many people to send cards to i’m afraid…especially since the ones I make are mostly Thank You’s!! 🙂
I’m definately a card sender but at times I find I’ve got a huge stash too. I aspire to be as creative and artistic as your are! Your creations are the best!
I’m both–a card sender and a card collector. I seldom make just one of any design. That way I can keep at least one and give one. Although, right now my card collection would keep me in cards for the rest of my life, so I guess I’m more of a collector. I love your blog, especially when I need inspiration. I can never replicate your design exactly, because I don’t have all of the products, but it’s fun to make substitutions and see the end result. I would love a chance to win this month’s drawing.
I am definitely a card send. I have so much fun making them that I want to share them with others. I hope youhad a great trip.
I hope you are enjoying your trip! I am a card sender.. well kinda… so far all the cards I have made I have given away or sold for JDRF or money for charity. I try to keep a stock of cards that I have made so I have one when I need it, but it doesnt seem to stay very full. Ilove your ideas. I check your blog every morning. Icannot wait to see your newest creation. You truly have inspired me. Thank You!!!
I am so jealous. The weather here has been nothing but cold and rain. I hope that you had amazing weather and a fabulous trip. I am collector of my card making. I always think that I am going to mass re-create the ones I really love but never do. When I am in a pinch for a card I will give it away.
I hope you’re having a wonderful trip Mary. Your blog is the highlight of my morning each day. You are such an inspiration to me! I would have to say that I am a card sender. However, I do have copies of cards that I keep for inspiration in photo binders. As of now, I’m up to three full binders! Thanks for the opportunity to win too!
Mary, I’m a card sharer, as most of the cards I make I send out as RAK’s to people who need some cheering up as they go thru a difficult time in their life and I enjoying sharing my new love of cardmaking with all of them! I receive your blog updates daily and look forward to these each day, thanks!
I’m definitely a card sender!! And I’ve got a small home business of making cards for people to buy to send to others. I don’t have ANY cards here at home, so I’m definitely NOT a card collector. I collect paper though…LOL!
I do have my collection of cards that I cannot part with, but I send the majority of my cards to Operation Write Home (OWH)! I love the idea that my beautiful creations are all over the world bringing love and hope to the loved ones of those who risk their lives for my freedom!
I am definitely a card sender. I always enjoy reading your blog!
I am both a card sender and collector! There are some I just can’t part with. I try to scan most of them into my computer, so that if I have to send one of my “special” cards, it’s OK. I can make it again! I must say that I get alot of my inspiration from YOU!
I’ve made the transformation from collector to sender. Living in a small apartment in NYC, there’s not much space to hold onto things. Also, in this day of emails and texts, I love to surprise my friends and family with a random card just because. 🙂
I’m a card collector. I’m horrible. Sometimes I make cards with people in mind and then months later, I find them stil in my stash, lol. Thanks for the opportunity to win some great blog candy.
I’m definitely a card sender, but I have a bad habit of waiting until the last minute to make my card……I do keep a little notebook of ideas, many of which are YOUR cards…..Love them! Hope your Alaska trip was fantastic!
Congrats on reaching your recent blogging milestone! I’m am definitely a card sender and usually a just in time maker (because I like to personalize a card for its recipient), so I rarely have any on hand.
I am definitely a card sender…thank you for the opportunity to win your blog candy! Love your blog!
What a beautiful trip you are on! I am a card sender. I also package them up as gifts. I have allot of ladies that really enjoy receiving them.
I always have a huge stash becuase I love to make the cards. I do sell a few and I give sets of cards as gifts. I also try to send cards to everyone I know for birthdays and other events. I even like to include a card with simple things like payments for things. I’m the treasurer of the school PTA, so often when people submit receipts for reimbursement, I’ll put the check in a pretty thank you card. Thanks!
Mary, I love your card designs and admire your creative business model. I’m a sender and hoarder. My DH makes fun of my hoarding. Thanks for celebrating the success of your blog with the blog candy drawing.
I’m a collector. I send cards, but I ALWAYS save my favorite creations!! I can’t handle the thought of them possibly ending up in someone’s trash.
Welcome home! I hope you had a great trip!
A card sender. I send cards for everything, I enjoy receiving them so I enjoy sending them. You never know someone maybe having a bad day they get home and there’s your card waiting for them.
I am a card sender that turns into a card hoarder. I always make more than one card to keep after I send one. I am mostly a product hoarder!! Thanks for the chance!
I must admit I collect cards. I am always afraid I will need a sample. I also collect the supplies to make specific cards and sometimes never use them! This is one reason I do swaps on Splitcoast! I am in a button card swap, so those buttons are enticing!
I am definitely a sender. I love to make cards (usually copies of yours!), and surprise people with them. Hope you are having a GREAT time!
I do really like sharing my cards with others, so when I need a card I always send one from my collection, but not until I’ve made more than one of them and taken a picture for my collection. 🙂
I am a card sender Mary. I have been making them for about a year. I just recently found Stampin’ Up! and better get busy because I am buying lots of great stuff. Thanks for sharing your beautiful creations with us! ~ Chris
Card sender, but not in the traditional way. I have a small group of family and friends so I don’t have to make that many cards!! So, I send them to the troops so they have cards to send to loved ones.
I am definitely a card sender, but don’t seem to know when to stop making more cards. I kept being drawn to your cards on Splitcoaststampers and finally subscribed to your blog. Love your cards. Thanks for sharing with us.
Definitely a card sender! I used to hoard the cards I made at workshops but I needed room for new ideas and techniques I used on cards 🙂 So glad I found your blog. Absolutely adore your ideas!
As much as I would love to be a card sender I tend to be a card hoarder—I think about saending cards then never seem to get them in the mail 🙁 Hope you are having a lovely time in Alaska! Thanks for the opportunity to win!!
I am a card collector. I need to do better about sending them. Perhaps I need to always make two so it is easier to part with them! 😉
I am a card sender who is a closet card collector; for every card I make to give away I usually make one to keep. My crafting supplies are organized in shoe boxes and intermingled with them are boxes of cards (to help disguise my habit).
Congratulations on 7000 “hits”. I follow your blog daily. Your cards are amazing. I am a card sender. Hope you had a fabulous trip.
Hope you’ve had an amazing time on the cruise!! Definitely on my list of things to do some day. I used to work with dolphins and whales, so I’d be thrilled to see some orcas, narwhales and gray whales!! Not to mention all the types of seals up there.
I’d say I’m about 50/50. I do collect and hoard many of the cards I make and swap for, but often the thing that spurs me on to make a card is that I need one for someone. So those get sent. Thanks for the chance to win some amazing blog candy!!
I’m a card sender, but I also have a very large stash which come in handy for cases where I need a card in a hurry. Hope that your cruise was lots of fun!
Card sender all the way! Though I try to make duplicates to have on hand 🙂 Thanks for the candy opportunity, Mary. Happy to hear you are having a fabulous Alaskan cruise!
Congrats on the large number of subscribers. Great blog candy.
I make and send cards as I too have a card ministry at my church. But…I keep one of each card. Might want to make another just like it you know.
Thanks for sharing. Mary
Can’t wait to hear/see what you brought back from the cruise!
I am a in between card person : )
Family & friends do receive my hand made cards for birthday, anniversary, welcome baby, thank you etc.. But with some many card I made, I still “collect” more than I should : )
Thank you!
Hi Mary! I’ve enjoyed your pics of Alaska and can’t wait to see more. I’m a card sender and sometimes at the last minute. My sister gets so mad at me for not making two but my time is limited. I am starting to take pics to reference back to if I really liked something to help my mojo when it has disappeared. Love your blog!! Congrats on 7000!
I am a card sender, I have to make each card specific to the person I am sending it too so I rarely make a supply of cards ahead of time. Hope you had an amazing time in Alaska!!!
I’m a card sender for sure! I send at least 80% of the cards I make 🙂 There are a few that I make just for me 😉
Thanks for AWESOME blog candy!!!
Congrats on earning the cruise.
I’m a card sender. Thanks for the blog candy chance.
I must confess that I find joy in being both a card sender and a card collector. I love sending cards to others, but I also can’t part with handmade cards that others have toiled over.
Congratulations on surpassing 7000 subscribers. Your site is truly my favorite. Thanks for all the work you put into it and for sharing your amazing talent.
I love to create and then send! My collection isn’t very large as so many of them find their way to the mailbox. Hope you are enjoying your cruise!
I’m sure you enjoyed your Alaskan Cruise…my dream to do some day. I am a card sender, and usually make the cards I need for the month at the beginning of the month.
Love your ideas, thanks for sharing.
Hi Mary!!!
I’m both – but probably more of a card collector! I have several boxes full of cards laying around my studio! I participate in so many swaps and stuff – I have have SO many cards!!!
I take photos of my favorites before I send them, and that way I can remember exactly what I liked about them. Enjoy your cruise! Was that a photo of Buchart Garden in B.C.? It must have been an inspiring trip with great photo ops!
I love your blog. Would love to win the candy. I am a sender…I make every card I ever send. In fact I am working on thank you’s now for my husband’s Elks club.
I am afraid to say, guilty on both counts! Though recently, I have been scanning in cards to my computer so I can deplete the collection. So many great ideas from swaps, so little room to keep them all to me. I make sure the receiver knows I didn’t make the card. Giving credit where credit is due!
I am a card sender…although I usually make two of the same card so that I can have a copy of my work ; )
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to win!!!
I am a card sender. I give extras to my sweet elderly neighbor who is home bound. She is a note writer, in fact she will recycle the cards I have sent just to her (minus my notes of course). I try to make two of every card I make so I can refer back to a favorite if I want to make it again. If I don’t have time to make two I will take a picture of it. Hope you had a great trip.
I’m both, I think. 🙂 I’ve certainly become more of a hoarder since I became a demo, though. I still send a lot out!
Thanks for the chance at the lovely candy. 🙂
Hi Mary,
I am a card sender with a twist. I take a picture of every card I send. I put on the back who I sent it to, the date and the occasion. This way I can always look at all the cards I have ever made. So in some ways they are still with me. Also I can reproduce a card if I want. I love your site and look forward every morning to having coffee with you!
My road is paved with good intentions. I cannot seem to get myself together and send them like I would like or should. I decided in January I was going to send at least 5 cards a month… but you see, that has NOT happened. I have time to do that in May. I am headed off to do that now! Thanks for the nudge!!! Hope your trip was FAB!!
Mary
I look at your blog everyday – and I am a card sender! Although lately I have a good stash on hand for those just in case moments. I tend to make at least 3-4 of the same card to have them ready.
I am card sender and collector (read, “hoarder”). I usually make 2 of every card I make so I can send one and keep one for a “sample.” Needless to say, I have several boxes of “samples.”
I guess I’m mostly a card sender, but I like to have a duplicate in my card collection, so I guess I am alittle bit of both. Hope you had a wonderful trip!!
I would have to say I am more of a card collector. I have a hard time letting go of something that is pretty.
I’m a card HOARDER. My mom and I have been making cards for about 5 years now and we have 6 shoe boxes full of cards. I have recently started sending them, its just hard to let go of my beautiful creations!!
I am a card sender. I love to send them on to brighten someone else’s day:)
Wow! 7000 subscribers! It’s nice to hear that once upon a time you only had YOU as well… I have something to aspire to 🙂 I love your blog – thanks for sharing every day!
Iam definitely a card sender. I save some of the cards I receive but send out what I make. Hope you are having a great time on your cruise.
MaryC
I’d have to say I’m more of a card sender but do have a few that I just can’t part with yet. OWH received over 1000 of my stach last year and a retirement/
assisted living home near us receives about 200 a year. Many of those folks cannot get out to buy greeting cards and they truly appreciate having them available especially without charge. Really enjoy your blog and the special things you create. You are an inspiration! I’m sure you had a wonderful cruise to Alaska. We sure did when we went a few years ago. Thanks for all you do and offering blog candy.
I am both a card sender – with cards that are usually made up ahead of time. I am also a card hoarder – keeping all of the cute cards that are sent to me. Thank you for all of your posts.
Hope you had a great cruise – did the Alaska cruise a few years ago and loved it! I am a card sender, usually scrambling to get cards made in time to get in the mail for birthdays, anniversaries. My goal is to get some made ahead to have them on hand but haven’t accomplished that yet. Thanks for sharing all your ideas – you’re a great inspiration!!
Welcome home from your fabulous trip! I am a card sender, because it gives me an excuse to make more! I can’t believe their are 7000 of us Mary – that is so amazing. You are inspirational for sure!
I am truly a CARD SENDER. I love making cards and sending them to special people. Hope you have enjoyed your cruise. Thanks for the chance to win your blog candy!!

I’m a card sender. I have a stash of cards so I always have something special on hand when I need to send a card. Hope you had a wonderful trip!
Hi Mary! I’m a card sender! I have always been a card sender and worked at Hallmark for several years. Creating my own is so much more fun. Hope you’ve enjoyed your cruise. The blog candy looks yummy!
Thanks for your inspiration. ~DonnaK
I am definitely a “card sender”. I love to communicate with people and remember them and their special occassions. Thanks for your inspiration!
Ellen
I am a card sender. Of course I take a picture of everything I make, so I guess I am a card saver as well – just missing the great texture.
I am a card sender, although, I do have my stash of coveted cards. 🙂 Congratulations on 7,000 blog hits! Thanks for the chance to win awesome blog candy!
Tionya
Mary. I started out as a card sender. I have to admit now I am both. I too take pictures of the cards I make and send….but then I keep a stash too and cant part with them because they are too pretty. I have found that my local hospital (very small) loves having donated cards that they sell in their gift shop. So I have donated a small stash to them!
I am definitely a card sender- I send them almost as fast as I can make them, especially birthday cards! I know you are having a wonderful trip. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
Hi Mary, i am a Card Sender! I also swap constintly! I join swaps for all occasions, then i send some to my 2 dd’s, my mother-in-law and one of my dd’s friend to use. They all love seeing cards from all over the U.S.! They say the “Hallmark” cards look to much like “Plastic” I’m so glad i found this wonderful creative group of gals who love to make cards.
Congrats on your 7,000 milestone & for earning your cruise! Hugs, cheryl
I was a card collector until I discovered Operation Write Home… I just sent my first box out. Hard to part with them as I get a bizarre emotional attachment to my crafting,,, but happy to know they help our servicemen and women!
Definitely a card sender. I do have a stash but will whip up a card for any occasion. Such fun. I, too, have been to Alaska and love following your adventures. What a beautiful state!
Congratulations on your cruise reward, Mary! I’m sure it was a fabulous time! As for your survey, I’m definitely a card SENDER. I just discovered Stampin Up in November 2010 and immediately became addicted and was initially a card HOARDER because I loved everything we created so much! But then in March of his year my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer and began chemo and radiation. She comes and stays with me during her “on time’ to get treatments and on her “off time” goes back to her hometown (a small town 3 hours away) to recover. Right after her diagnosis I started the habit of mailing her a card at least every other day when she is home and she LOVES getting them. She is always so amazed to see what beautiful cards can be made. I get a lot of joy from sending these cards because it’s a little something I can do to help make her treatment and recovery easier. Also, my “stamp time” is a little harder to come by now and when i DO get stamp time, I relish it … it’s my therapy! SO GLAD I found Stampin’ Up! Again, thanks for all the inspiration I find on your site, Mary. God bless!
Congratulations on you 7000 subscribers. It is not a surprisa as you create beautiful clean and simple cards for us to be inspried by. Love your 1 minute (or more!) WOW videos. I am definetely a card sender. Love to receive cards as well as create a ‘personalized’ card to send.
Have fun on your much deserved cruise! Confession- I’m a card sender. I love to make them and send them. I send out at least a card a week! Love your Blog too! Can’t wait to see the pics when you return!
Confession-I was a collector, I had a huge stash of paper and goodies intending to scrapbook, but NOW I’m a card sender. And lovin every minute of it, PLUS your terrific blog is a sweet treat. Hope you had a wonderful time in Alaska and will share some photos.
I hope you enjoyed your cruise Mary! I have to say I’m “some of each”. I make lots of card sets for gifts, but I also have a few boxes full of cards! Taking pictures of my creations helps me to let them go, while preserving my “ideas”.
I’m a card sender. However, I have to admit, when I’m finish making a card, I don’t want to give it away, but I do. I guess, I’m a closet card keeper at heart or not enough time to stamp so I can keep a few. Thanks for all the inspiration you give me.
Thank you for the offer. I am a card sender. Usually make a card for a particular person but sometimes make cards to keep in a boz for when I need one and no time to make it! Have a great weekend!
Hi Mary!
I’m definitely a card sender. I use your site for inspiration all the time.
Thanks!
Pat
I’m afraid I would be in the “B” category! “Bad” about sending! If I don’t make multiples of a card right away, I hang on to the one, to someday “make more”! But new beauties show up for me to make from all the very talented bloggers including yours! Thank you for the inspiration & and a chance to win some blog candy!
I am boh a sender and a stasher; I tend to make cards for a specific person at the last minute, but also have a stash in my craft room. When my stash gets too big, I find a good organization and donate a bunch. I used to make like 10 cards of everything I did, but now I am only making a couple of each and still wind up with a stash. When I reorganized my craft room last year I added 12 brightly colored boxes and labeled them to help keep my stash organized–I have major divisions for the cards themselves, plus card fronts and samples for future classes, and a couple are still blank for future needs. It gives me a place to put them when I clean off my desk!
I am a card sender! I try to make multiples when I make a card, just to have the extras on hand. Thanks for sharing your talent with us…and for the chance to win! Hope you loved your cruise!
I most certainly am a card saver. I do send many cards and make them for my pastor to give to the members on their birthdays, but I still “save” many just to admire. Hope your cruise was a wonderful adventure.
I’m both!! The ones I hoard are the ones I’ve received from other card-making friends or ones that I made as samples at stamping clubs, etc. To attempt to control the hoarding, I’ve begun making photo-copies of cards that I love & I put those into an album with a small note attached as to recipient, occasion & date; then I don’t worry about making a duplicate for them. Love your blog & creative ideas!
I am both. Have to keep the ones I make with my demonstrator as ‘models’ and then I make cards to send. Now my friends expect a homemade card.
I am a card sender and wish I had more time to create, create, create! Best creative outlet for me in the world. Your site is a wonderful inspiration for ideas – thank you!
Hi Mary, I am A) card sender. I like to share what I love to do,and the people I send to love to get them.. I usually scan the ones I really like to the computer so I have a copy if I want to make it again. When we visited Alaska, one of the many memories was how big and beautiful the flowers were. 7000 count is really great, shows how many people love your site. Hope you feel appreciated for the great work you do and share with us. We do appreciate you….
I tend to do both I like to send cards and I also like to keep them so I end up making at least two of every card so I can keep one 🙂
I would be a collector (they’re my babies!) but my husband likes my cards and he is the sender. I do requests and then I don’t get emotionally invested.
Hope you are enjoying your trip. I am definitely a card sender. I really enjoy hearing from family and friends how much they enjoy receiving my cards.
Mary, Thank you so much fofr sharing all your wonderful ideas with everyone..I get a lot of inspiration from you I am a sender…
Thank you for the chance to win these fabulous products. Absolutely no doubt, I am a collector! I have box after box after box of cards and 3D items, I just LOVE creating and on a very rare occasion will send a card or two…. Thank for your wonderfully inspiring website.
I am a card sender and giver. I love to gather a half dozen stamps with envelopes and give them to friends for many different reasons. “It pays to give the very best.”
Something homemade and personal is appreciated by others.
I loved that Alaskan cruise and would love to go back and see more. Welcome home!
I am a card sender! Because of space I send my creations to loved one and take a picture of my card and save it on my computer so when I need a creative push I look at what I have done before and it helps me to create more. Hope you had fun on your trip!
I am a card sender. Anyone, any reason. Not only do I send them for occasions, I package them as gifts for everyone for all occasions. I love receiving personal mail so I assume others do as well. : ) Thank you for the chance to win more product.
I guess I’d have to say I’m some of both. When I make a card, I usually make 2, one to send and one to keep. Sometimes later, I’ll need a card quickly and it’s nice to have a little ‘stash’. 🙂
I am both a collector and sender. But I often take a picture of any cards I send so that I can recreate them. I really enjoy your blog and videos. Thanks!
I have to say I have figured out a way to be both. I always stamp two of the same card…one to send and one to keep. Thanks for the chance to win blog candy. I imagine your trip was fabulous!
RIght now I am both a sender and a maker/collector joining swaps to get more card ideas NEIL
I am a sender. I make cards for myself, family and friends to use, and I also make cards for the military through a wonderful orginization called Operation Write Home. My daughter is in the military and I know how much they appreciate it. While her unit is away on deployment I make “Thank You for Your Service” cards for each member. Thanks for the chance to win some new materials.
I’m a sender and never have any in a stash!! Always thinking of a new one to make and send, you think I would get smart and make a few for the “stash” pile.
Wish I was in Alaska with you to drop a line in one of their amazing lakes!! WOW what a great trip!
Marcia
Just starting out! Love your site!! Thank you!
I’m a card sender but I make more than I need so I have a huge stash to choose from! I love to visit your blog for inspiration….thanks Mary!
I am a card sender. However, I also share the cards I make with my daughter since she doesn’t have as much time as I do to make cards. Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy. Here’s hoping the random picker selects me!
I am totally a card sender. I send cards to people at my church to cheer them up or to cheer them on. My mom used to think I wasted alot of money until, one day, we were in the hallway at church and a man I sent a card to came up to me and said, “Thank you so much for the card – it was unexpected and really cheered me up!” Ever since then, my mom has backed my SU spending habit 100%!
I’m a card sender. I always seem to wait until the last minute to get them done, and am always sorry I didn’t take more time to get them just right…..I always know I can count on you for inspiration, thanks so much for that!
I love to make and send cards, but have to admit I try to always make 2 so I can keep one for me! Thanks for chance to win the awesome blog candy.
Hello. Hope you are enjoying your trip. I hope to go on a stampin up trip some day. I’m alittle of both. I get cards sent to those closest to me but also stash teh cards I make to keep the ideas. I check out your site every day. thanks soo much for the get ideas. I need to make time to get more cards made. — cari
I am a sender. I always seem to be working “under the gun” to get them finished to immediately send out. One day I hope to have the extra time to become a “card collector”! I hope you enjoyed Alaska, that is my dream trip. One day I will get there! Thanks for all of your great card ideas.
Hello Mary: I’m sure you are having a wonderful time on your trip. I’m a 100% card sender. Love, love to make cards and send them in the mail or give them at parties. The recipients of my cards keep them all, they tell me they just can’t throw them away and I’ve seen my Christmas cards displayed year afte year. Everytime I make a card, I either take a picture or, if I have time, I make one for me, just to have a “portfolio” of all my creations.
The blog candy looks delicious so, GOOD LUCK TO ME!!!!!
Maria.
I am a card sender. I keep planning to make enough to have a stash, and that never seems to happen. I get so much inspiration from your blog each day. Thanks for sharing, and for the chance to win!
I am a sender and get lots of wonderful ideas from you. Thanks.
Hope you are having a blast in Alaska and eating lots of salmon and halibut.
Hugs.
Congratulations on your 7000 mark! Impressive. I am both a card sender and a collector. I seem to make way more than I can give out. I have some cards from the first time I started making them. I can see how much I’ve improved since then (it was only a year or two ago that I started). Have a safe trip home.
Anne-Marie
I’m a “Card Sender”, although I have a box of cards that I’ve made at various Stamp-a-Stacks that I’ve attended. I use those cards in a pinch, creating the inside decorations and sayings to fit the personality and interests of the recipient. I’m excited to see more pictures from your cruise.
BUTTONS!! BUTTONS!! OH MY!! I am both a maker and collector!! I need to take a vacation just to use my new stamps and make new cards!! 🙂 Hope you have a great trip!
I’m a card sender…well actually lately a card seller! I’ve recently been asked to sell my cards to a local shop that sells only handmade goods. Now I need to get busy working on their first order of 25 cards! Thanks for the inspiration on your blog as always!
I tend to make cards for occasions as needed so I don’t have a true “stash” to fall back on. It’s sad to think some of these creations might end up in the trash so I have been known to request it back for later reference if they are planning to throw it away! All that pretty paper and ribbon… Thanks for all your inspiration!
I am a card sender but do have a basket full of pretty samples (some made by be but many by others). They’re good for inspiration. Thanks for the blog candy!
I would like to be a card sender, but I’m hopelessly a card hoarder. I just cant part with those super cute creations!
Hi Mary! I am both! I like to send out my cards but I make more than I can use so I have a boxful that I would like to sell/donate – but I don’t really know where to start! Thanks for the chance to win this amazing blog candy- Hope your trip was wonderful!!
I am both a card sender and a card collector. unfortunately I don’t always finish my cards until after the occasion has passed. I guess I just need a bigger collection so I’ll be ready for the next card giving occasion:) I love, love, love your cards! The clean stylish look and color combinations always inspire me. Thanks for sharing all your creations and thanks for entering me in the blog candy give-a-way.
Wow what a nice stash of blog goodies. I am definately both A) and B). Thanks for the chance to win.
Hugs
Mary,
So glad you are enjoying your well-earned trip. I am a card sender, usually trying to build up a stash so I don’t have to make them at the last minute. There are some old ones in the box though that are waiting for a makeover before they go out! lol
Hi Kelley,
Think about what I do. I make two of each card. One to send & one to put in a Idea looseleaf. This has worked great for me.
Happy Stamping, Debbie G
Mary – I have boxes and boxes of finished cards. I don’t want to send them because I may want/need one as a “pattern” in the future, and what happens if I don’t have it? My husband thinks I’m nuts!!
Oh I am definately a “CARD SENDER” and my family & friends who recieve my card save my cards too. Makes Me very happy. I do make two of every card I make, One to send & one to put in an album. Enjoy you great cruise..
I am both a sender and a hoarder. I make cards ahead of time but always with a special person in mind. They sit in a box (all marked by person and date) ready to send. I also have a stash in case something unexpected comes up. Hope Alaska was wonderful!
I am definitely a card sender! I would love to have more time to become a card collector! I do have a lovely box that has some cards just waiting to be sent to a good home, but the most part I make a card and send it! Thanks for blog candy and for all of the inspiration you give each day!
Becky
I am a card sender. I like to make a card special for the occasion or the person receiving it. That does make for a problem though when I have to get “under the gun” to make a card by a deadline. I always enjoy your ideas. Cathy L.
I am in therapy for my card hoarding, LOL! Trying to turn around and send lots of them. Now, instead of hoarding, my ‘therapist’ suggests taking photos of my beloved ones, then sending them on their way.
Thanks for the chance to win blog candy!
Thank you for the opportunity to win the blog candy, and I hope you’re having a great time on the cruise. I am definately more of a card sender. I don’t even keep one for myself. I really should make 2 of everything so I can keep one.
I started out being a card sender but unfortunately am now a card hoarder. I am working on remedying that!
I always enjoy your posts…keep up the good work, and congrats on earning the cruise!
Hi Mary,
I usually send my cards. i save a few for future design ideas if something turned really nice, but for the most part, they go out. The blog candy looks fantastic, please enter me in the drawing.
Kathy N.
I make cards to give but have to admit when I make a card that I really don’t like I don’t want to send it so it goes into a box because I do not have the heart to toss it out. Need to find someplace to donate. My daughter says that someone would really appreciate it. That is am just to critical of myself.
Mary, I’m DEFINITELY a sender! I’ve sent cards since I was first married! Almost 40 years ago! I’m a “mail” person and love recieving mail! Thanks for all your inspirations!
I am afraid I am a card “hoarder!” I watch “hoarding” and always wonder if I should be on that show. I love to make cards but I have boxes (thank God)organized by themes of home-made cards. I love just sitting and going back through those boxes. It’s like looking at old photos and remembering. Here’s to card-hoarding!!
Count me as being BOTH! I send countless cards thru-out the year but I make some pretty special ones that I then hate to part with. After so long of sitting on my shelf, I’ll make a gift pack of my cards, along with pretty envelopes & stamps and give to my most favorite friends. I sure feel the love from them & feel gratified at the same time.
I am a card collector and sender, the collection part comes in handy for the reason of my friends coming over to pick through my cards to send out! So my cards do get sent out!!! Your talent is so appreciated!! Thanks for sharing and hoping I win the “Blog” candy!!! 🙂
Lucy
Mary, hope the trip was awesome! Oh I make and send my cards!! It’s great to have them “ready to go” if something comes up, ie. sympathy, thinking of you, get well. You’re a wonderful inspiration and your blog is a great start to my every morning!
I am a card sender. Sometimes waiting until the last minute to make them. Hope you had a great time on your cruise. Love to vist your blog.
Your card art is beautiful and gives me lots of inspiration. I am a card sender.
I am a card collector. I have 2 boxes of cards BUT just last week I got into my stash and gave my daughter 8 thank you cards for my granddaughter?s birthday gifts she received. So it pays to collect. Lol
I live in Alaska. Hope you have had a great time. Our weather has been beautiful
You have an amazing talent. I am always impressed by your creations. I am a paper and card collector. I work fast and furiously to get a card done for a specific occasion and then I forget to send it. Oh well. At least I take them out from time to time and admire them. 🙂
I am a card sender – but the problem is, I’m always racing against the clock to get the cards done on time! My goal is to a good stash of cards done ahead of time for different occasions. Thank you for all your wonder inspiration!
I’m a card sender who wishes she had time to make and send even more cards! I love your work Mary! You always give me such great inspiration. Thank you for sharing your talents!
I make cards for a ministry at my church so most of what I make I send. I do have a stash of special cards that I keep to look through. It is on the shelf right next to the paper that I cannot bring myself to use and the jar of special buttons that I love so much & would never use. Think I need a support group or something but I know that I am in good company!!!!
I hope you are having a wonderful time on your Alaska trip.It is one of the best cruises we have been on. I am more of a card sender, I make cards fow OWH, but I do have a stash that I cant send to the because of size or they have glitter on them. Thanks for the chance to win this great blog candy!
Button, button who has my buttons? I’m trying to get my “craft room” together as we type! So that I can work on cards, scrapbooking etc.. I love to learn more and more from you and getting excited about my new room….from upstairs to downstairs where I can be more “crafty”… thanks Mary for all you do! Teri
