Day 3: A Cute Christmas

Stampin up jolly holiday designer paper a cute christmas

It's Day 3 of my Week of Holiday Mini Catalog Sneak Peeks!  "A Cute Christmas" stamp set from the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog gets an "A+" for total "cuteness."  The simple pocket idea for the sentiment was shared with me by my friend and fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Kadie Labadie.

The card stays uber cute even with the sentiment tucked in.  It's a delightful little surprise.  The gift stamp makes this set adaptable for birthday, too!  I adore versatility.

STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
  • Stampin up a cute christmas rubber stamp stockings NEW PRODUCT ALERT!  The "A Cute Christmas" stamp set was used for the stockings and sentiment (both the text and present).  This set will be available on September 1
  • A Word Window Punch is the key to the pocket.  Just remember not to add adhesive to the area where the tag slides in.
  • Not just for eyelets . . . the Crop-A-Dile pops out the hole for the tag ribbon (through two layers of card stock) in a snap.  It also chomps thru thin metal and much more.
  • The border takes about 30 seconds (but perhaps don't attempt after a pot of coffee–it takes a steady hand :).  I used a Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker for my squiggles and dots.
  • The Jolly Holiday Designer Paper was love at first sight.  I'm nutso over the clean, modern patterns in coordinating Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Very Vanilla.  I used Pear Pizzazz Stitched Poly Ribbon (oh, gasp) because it's plenty close to Old Olive.  So far, I have not been struck by lightning.

COMING UP:  Tomorrow is Day 4 of my Holiday Mini Sneak Peaks and the kick off of a new Mojo Monday sketch challenge.  I'll share my first attempt using the Stampin' Up! Color Spritzer.  What took me so long to get one I ask?  Tuesday promises another delightful Stampin' Pretty Pals Blog Hop!
