Pals Blog Hop: More Than One Score

2019 April Blog Hop 300

Welcome to the Pals’ May  Blog Hop. We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects with “More Than One Score.”  You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place.  You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Pals Blog Hop Dandelion Wishes Daisy Punch by Stampin' Up! Mary Fish, Stampin' Pretty

My card for the hop includes one of my favorite color combinations right now – Night of Navy and Melon Mambo.  I’m even incorporating it into my wardrobe.  I recently purchased (finally, is more like it) the Stampin’ Up! Handwritten Background stamp.  I adore all the messages it contains in multiple languages and how you can create a unique background with any ink or card stock color.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:

Start with an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Night of Navy card stock.  Score the long distance at 2 1/8 and 4 1/4. Using a bone folder, set the score by folding “in” at 4 1/4.  Use a bone folder again to set the score at 2 1/8 by folding “out” (opposite the direction of the previous score).

Layer and adhere a 3 x 4 1/4 piece of Melon Mambo card stock to 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Whisper White card stock with Snail Adhesive.  Adhere to the interior of the card with Snail Adhesive.

Use the Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment (Dandelion Wishes) in Night of Navy Ink onto a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Crop with a die-cutting machine and the 2 1/8 Layering Squares “straight” die.  Crop a piece of Night of Navy card stock with the 2 1/4 Layering Squares “scalloped” die.  Adhere together and to the Melon Mambo card stock with Snail Adhesive.

Crop a piece of Night of Navy card stock with the Daisy Punch.  Adhere a 1/2 circle of Melon Mambo card stock (cropped with the 1/2″ Circle Punch) to the center of the daisy with a Mini Glue Dot.

Use a die-cutting machine to crop a piece of Whisper White card stock with a 2 5/8 Layering Square “straight” die and a piece of Night of Navy card stock with a 2 3/4 Layering Square “scalloped” die.  Adhere the squares together with Stampin’ Dimensionals, leaving room to the ‘thread’ the ribbon between.  Adhere the daisy to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

“Thread” approx. 20″ of Navy Gingham Ribbon (retiring) through two squares and around the card. Adhere the daisy scallop square to the “Handwritten” panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tie the ribbon in a bow on the side as shown.  It such a pretty way to keep the card closed.

You CAN send these by US Mail (USPS).  I use a non-machinable stamp.  For added protection, you can cover the top of the card with a piece of coordinating embossed card stock.  I tucked the ribbon around the back for a clean look.

  6. Oh, I have not used my new Daisy Punch yet. I only bought it because it coordinates with Daisy Lane, but I see you can use it any time you want a big bloom to shine on a card.
