Today’s slimline thank you card was created with the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Punch and the Naturally Gilded Specialty Designer Series Paper. Gold makes such a rich statement and I adore the details of the dragonflies!
WHAT I LOVE! The Naturally Gilded Specialty Designer Series Paper (part of the NEW Stampin’ Up! On-Line Exclusive Products) can be dressed up with dragonflies or be a beautiful background all on it’s own!
CUT YOUR CARD STOCK – DIMENSIONS:
- Very Vanilla Thick Card Stock:
- Card Base –8 1/2 x 7, scored at 3 1/2
- Sentiment Layer – 8 x 1
- Stamped Dragonflies – 5 x 4 (before punching)
- Gold Foil Sheet:
- Layer – 8 1/4 x 3 1/4
- Scrap for punched dragonfly
- Naturally Gilded Specialty Designer Series Paper:
- Layers – 8 x 3
PROJECT TUTORIAL:
Begin by burnishing the fold of the Very Vanilla Thick card base with a Bone Folder.
Adhere the Naturally Gilded DSP to the Gold Foil layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Rub the Very Vanilla strip with the Embossing Buddy from the Embossing Additions Tool Kit.
Use a Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment (Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set) in Versamark Ink onto the right side of the Very Vanilla strip.
Cover with gold Metallics Embossing Powder. Set with a Heat Tool.
Adhere to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Wrap and adhere the Gold 3/16″ Trim to the card as shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Adhere to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use a Stamparatus to stamp the dragonflies (Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set) in Versamark Ink onto the Very Vanilla Layer that has been rubbed with an Embossing Buddy (Embossing Additions Tool Kit).
Cover with gold Metallics Embossing Powder. Tap to remove the excess. Set with a Heat Tool.
Crop the two stamped images and the Gold Foil scrap with the coordinating Dragonflies Punch.
Adhere all to the card as shown with Standard and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
