  1. WE have an artificial tree that looks so real and when we add the smell of Douglas fur to the room , people really think we have a real one. Decorating it while playing Christmas music is awesome family time. Lots of laughing, sharing, love. I am thankful we can get together to do it.

  2. I decorate a table Christmas tree. I love homemade tree ornaments. Would love to know how to get started in your program!! Thank you for all your information!!
    [email protected]

  3. We have a 4 foot artificial tree that we have had for 12 years. All white lights and red ribbons with gold bulbs. Just the right size and kitty loves it. 🙂

  4. We have three artificial trees that go up the day after Thanksgiving. We don’t have to worry about burning the house down with the artificial trees going up so early because they never dry out. Three weeks before Christmas we search our local tree farm for the perfect tree. We have to look at every tree. That tree will go up in the living room and always smells fantastic.

  5. Cardinals mean so much to me, they were a favorite of my Opa, I hang one one my tree every year in memory of him. This set is so beautifully done. It’s one of my favorites, I hope I win so I can make Christmas cards for my family next year. And cards all year for birthdays !

  6. This is such a beautiful set. Cardinals always remind me of the years we lived in Virginia.

  7. At my house, we decorate an artificial tree! I know to some that is horrible, but it works for us and we have a lovely decorated tree.
I would love to receive the Toile Christmas bundle, even a used bundle would be great! I had to make hard choices from the Holiday catalog and did not choose this one. I did order the designer series paper and the red ribbon, so I’m prepared for next Christmas, should I win this bundle. Thanks for the opportunity with this comment.

  8. While I love a real tree I have switched to an artificial tree. No matter what I did I was vacuuming needles for months after christmas. I bring the smell of a tree into the house via a vase full of greens. Thank you Mary for the chance to win this great set.

  9. For years we had a live tree…….but, we also had “discussions” on getting the thing straight in the stand! So, eventually we changed to an artificial tree…..that ended the “discussions”!! When I moved to CO we went back to a live tree…..cut our own in the forest. Love the smell of a live tree. Now we have aged & are back to an artificial tree. Have a Happy Holiday season & a healthy New Year! Thanks for a year of great inspiration in the card making world.

  10. We have artificial because of allergies in the house. But it is the ornaments and lights that make the tree. My favorite is little toes sticking out from the tree as the grandkids look at the tree from underneath.

  11. We always use an artificial tree but I think a small real tree sounds fun to try sometime. Thank you for offering this gift! Merry Christmas!

  12. Merry Christmas!
Artificial here. We used to cut our own trees but the tree farmer retired !

  13. Live tree is still our choice. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thank you for this chance to win.

  14. When the kids were little we would go out as a family to cut down a tree at a tree farm. I would also put a small artificial tree in each of their rooms as a way to entice them to go to bed during the holiday season. Now that I am an empty nester, I have 2 artificial trees that I set up up; one in the family room and the other in the livingroom. But I sure do miss the smell of the ‘real’ tree in the house.

  15. Merry Christmas!
We decorate a real tree, usually a Fraser fir with all of the decorations that we’ve collected and made over the years. It’s a trip down memory lane. Love this season of the year!!!

  16. We love our artificial tree. Hanging from it are many hand more ornaments made with Stampin Up! products too.

  17. I like an artificial tree with lights. Saves me from having to twirl around the tree several times! 🙂

  18. We love both but always use artificial. This year due to limited space we only put up 2 trees. Our “things from the sea” tree is an unusual shape making it perfect to display our collections of lighthouses and fishing Santa’s.

  19. As we moved to a larger home this year, we have three artificial trees. The green ones in the family and dining rooms have colored and white lights and are decorated with collected ornaments from our travels over the past 49 years. The silver metallic one in the master bedroom is decorated with teal and peach-colored tropical ornaments, many from Hawaii. Would love to win the blog candy offering, Mary!

  20. For convenience and fire safety, we have an artificial tree. However, the smell of real pine boughs on the door and decor throughout our home brings the “smell” of Christmas indoors.

  21. Well, I would love a real tree but we have an artificial just for convience sakes with several not working lights.

  22. Artificial now, but we had some real trees when I was a kid. I didn’t put one up this year, but a new grandbaby on the way will change that next year. Merry Christmas!

  23. I wish it wasn’t but we have an artificial tree this year. My husband has severe back pain so it’s too hard to get a live tree. It’s Christmas no matter what, once the nativity scene goes up and the tree gets decorated. It’s really about family and being together.

  24. We use a fake fir tree for our Christmas celebration. Sweet and simple yet beautiful.

  25. We have artificial trees due to allergies that several family members have. I love Christmas and appreciate your blog candy giveaway!

  26. We have a 7 ft artificial tree since I became allergic to the real ones 12 years ago. But the best part of our tree is that it’s decorated with 40 years of Hallmark ornaments. We even have all 40 Frosty Friends!

  27. I have trees (made from pine cones)in my fairy garden that are decorated for Christmas with miniature ornaments and lights!

  28. we decorate an artificial tree but have garlands and swags of fresh cut greenery from the farm…

  29. We have a fake tree that is lovely. However, every couple of years I need a real tree! Merry Christmas, Mary!

  30. We have an artificial pre lit l tree with ornaments made by our kids and grandkids. So many wonderful memories on our tree!

  31. I put up an artifical tree, it goes up the day after Thanksgiving and sadly I take it down mid January. My great grand daughters decorated it this year fir me.

  32. We decorate a concolor fir Christmas tree – super pretty and so special that we have grown them in our yard from seedlings !!! What makes this tree extra nice is the needles of the tree are super soft.

  33. We have 5 trees, sadly artificial . 2 on porch, one in bathroom with Snoopy ornaments, one in livingroom with Barbie ornaments and our large tree with all our memory ornaments on it!

  34. Real tree grown at a tree farm here in Maine. Decorated with white lights and treasured ornaments either handmade or given to us by friends and family! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

  35. I prefer a real tree, I like the smell of it and it reminds me of growing up.
We always had different colored lights and lots of tinsel.

  36. We have an artificial tree with a mish mash of home made ornaments and ones from my childhood given to me by my parents and grandparents.

  37. Unfortunately, no tree ?this year due to chemo treatment fatigue, but use an artificial tree due to allergies!! Thanks for the opportunity of a great giveaway!!

  38. Artificial tree for us. Took us about 5 years to determine that the pine pollen from our real lit tree was causing us all to be sick the entire Christmas Season. Switched to artificial and can enjoy the season with a clear head.

  39. We decorate an artificial tree. Our tree reflects our love of the beach, decorated with starfish and seashells!

  40. I have an artificial tree due to allergies, but I love the smell of a pine tree. Thank you for offering a giveaway.

  41. Christmas Blessings to you and your family!
Absolutely love a live tree and the wonderful scent of fresh pine. For many years we enjoyed real trees, but after much resistance, we have had to embrace the artificial variety due to allergies. Finding out there are some great advantages to an artificial tree though!

  42. We decorate an artificial tree for Christmas. Merry Christmas ? to you and your family!

  43. We decorate an artificial tree for Christmas. Merry Christmas ? to you and your family!!

  44. This year I’m so happy to have a live tree in our living room. My husband is recovering from chemo and radiation so he hasn’t been able to help. I have kind, wonderful friends who came over, got it set up and helped me decorate with 53 yrs of memories! It’s beautiful!!!

  45. We have a small apartment and I only do 2 doors with artificial wreaths and a few small touches for Christmas decorations. I love to stamp and manage to stamp all my greeting cards. Love the stamp set you are giving away!!

  46. I love real Christmas trees, but as I have gotten older, I leave the decorating to my daughter and set up a crustal tree that lights up and changes colors. It just needs batteries.

  47. Merry Christmas! I’ve always had an artificial tree. You know when it’s time for a new one…it sheds as much as a real pine tree. Got a new one this year. Thanks for all you share with us. You are a treasure! Hope you enjoy a wonderful 2020!!!

  48. I prefer a real tree (minus the falling needles), but there are gorgeous artificial trees now and that is what we have. We are downsizing from a 7+ foot tree to a 4 foot tree as we get older. All trees are great, but I’ll vote for an artificial (lighted) tree.

  49. As we have gotten older, we put up an artificial tree since our daughters now have their own homes. We play Christmas carols and decorate the tree with ornaments that my husband has given me for Christmas through the years. Each ornament brings a memory of what was happening at that time. It’s a favorite tradition.

  50. Always real. We go to PeaRidge Forest Christmas tree farm and cut one down every year. Then we eat kettle corn, drink got chocolate and go to lunch.

  51. We stopped putting up a tree when we gave all of our decorations to our daughter a dozen or so years ago.

  52. An artificial tree for me and a very small one. With everyone grown and out of town, this works well. Merry Christmas!

  53. Hi Mary
Hope your holiday was Merry! I prefer to have an artificial tree- less mess but love the smell of a real tree and this year have a real one!

  54. I decorate a artificial tree for the holidays. Wishing you and your family a VERY Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

  55. Went back to a real tree about 4 years ago…we’ll continue until we are too old to handle. ?
    Merry Christmas!!!

  56. When our daughters were small, we would go cut a tree down at a farm in Illinois. Of course we would walk for ever to find just the right tree!

  57. When our daughters were small, we would go cut a tree down at a farm in Illinois. Of course we would walk for ever to find just the right tree!
We enjoy our artificial tree now that they are grown.

  58. When our daughters were small, we would go cut a tree down at a farm in Illinois. Of course we would walk for ever to find just the right tree!
We enjoy our artificial tree now that they are grown.

  59. When our daughters were small, we would go cut a tree down at a farm in Illinois. Now we have an artificial tree since it remains up for several weeks.

  60. Merry Christmas Mary! We usually put up a ceramic tree that my Aunt hand made for us years ago, and if ambitious enough, we decorate an artificial tree placed in a slow spinning base so all the ornaments can be enjoyed. Thanks for the opportunity to win this lovely stamping bundle!

  61. We decorate an artificial tree because it lasts longer. A habit we had from when we used to have to travel a lot for Christmas to our parents when our boys were young but still wanted a tree at our home too.

Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2020. Thank you for all you do in sharing card ideas with us and doing fun Giveaways too. 🙂 Marcee

  62. We put up an artificial tree every year. We love the smell of the fresh trees, but my husband is allergic to them.

  63. I love a real tree, but I have fond memories of a “tacky” pink artificial tree that my mom and I decorated with hand cut Christmas cookies. And a lovely little blue aluminum tree that warned, “Do not use electric lights. Possibility of electrocution.” Let’s face it: I love all Christmas trees.

  64. Artificial here, with lights already part of the tree. Our cat loves to lay under it!

  65. We always had a real tree when my children were younger. One I got divorced and they grew up and moved out, I have gone to an artificial tree. Much easier to manage by myself! Merry Christmas to you and your family Mary!

  66. We decorate an artificial tree, which does withstand climbing cats better than a fresh tree. Our dogs, over the years, wanted a ‘real’ tree as their indoor treat.

  67. I decorate two artificial trees, 2 different sizes. One tree is decorated with just homemade Christmas ornaments!! Deeply treasured year after year.

  68. For the past twenty years, I have used traditional feather tree. Decorated with glass ornaments from my childhood. Brings back so many fond memories. Merry Christmas to You.

  69. We have a artificial tree that is about 30 years old. Decorated with ornaments that have a year on them for the last 31 years. I also put little gifts in the tree for the grandchildren.

  70. Artificial. My kids each get a new ornament for the tree. It usually has something to do with their personality or something that they have accomplished over the year. It’s like a scrapbook every year as they reminisce over their personal collection of ornaments

  71. We used to have a real tree when I was younger and it was a big deal for the Friday after Thanksgiving to get it and decorate it because it was the day my mom was off since she was a teacher and then did not have off again until the Xmas holiday…….. I lost her 3 years ago and since that it has not been the same… now I just do a little artificial table top pre-lighted tree…
I would love to win the Cardinal set as cardinals were always my mom and my grandma’s favorite bird…and to this day every time I see one I stop and think of both my mom and my grandma who I lost back in 2011! I

  72. Every Christmas we get a real tree although growing up we had artificial. I believe that both are great, it is the magic of the holidays that matters most.

  73. My husband and I have enjoyed an artificial Christmas tree for several years. Our girls are grownup and it’s easier for us to put up and take down. The tree always brings back pleasant memories and that’s what counts!

  74. Always a real tree, really miss going with my uncle. I would go to his farm and ride a hay wagon and go into the woods . And pick out a tree, any one we want ,he would cut it down for us. Sure miss that

  75. None this year for us- our grown kids are traveling all over- 2 overseas (china & syria)….just us & our fur babies!!!

Using this time to make cards & boxs!! Love your ideas & tutorials- thank you!!

  76. I love real Christmas trees; however as I have gotten older and less mobile, those days are over. Sigh. Now I have one of those small artificial tree in which the branches light up and change colors. Can’t remember what it is called, but it works and I like it.

  77. Artificial tree to be honest wouldn’t do any if not for my family I have left.

  78. Mary I hope your Holidays are truly Merry and Bright! Thank you for all you do from a very new member

  79. Gorgeous stamp set. We decorated an artificial tree this year but usually have a real tree. Merry Christmas!

  80. Artificial. I grew up on a farm. One year, my Dad bought some land that had pine trees on it. So, for many years, we cut down our own tree on our own land. But, after marriage and little ones, we started travelling on Christmas Day to visit my husband’s family. We started using an artificial tree so we wouldn’t have to take the tree down before Christmas!

  81. Artificial. Love this set. My Sister-In-Law has this set. She broke her wrist in November, so couldn’t make cards. I used this set to make Christmas cards for her to send.

  82. Artificial. Have 2 older kitties that have played havoc with every real tree brought into the house. Finally called “uncle” and gave in!!

  83. My artificial tree is loaded with handmade ornaments from my kids and myself. It brings lots of joy time to look at it.

  84. Had to switch to artificial because Hubby got tired of vacuuming pine needles! ? Love the toile bundle!

  85. Merry Christmas and thank you for sharing all your beautiful card creations throughout the year. My tree is traditional but change it up a bit each year.

  86. I miss the scent of a real pine but we decorate the same artificial tree we’ve had for many years.

  87. I adore the scent of an evergreen tree. Unfortunately, my allergies do not allow me to indulge that love. We have an artificial tree. I make up for that disappointment by using all the ornaments collected over the years. As I put each one on, the memories come flooding back of people, places and happy times shared at this most special time of Christian celebration. Merry Christmas to all! Happy Birthday, Jesus!

  88. Real. It gets frustrating because we have two cats. If the tree is loaded with gifts they tend to leave it alone. However, our boy cat will leap up to get ornaments. I decorate it as if we still have a toddler in the house – ornaments up about 5 inches and above! He stills gets at them thought!

  89. I have a real tree. The smell of the real tree is one of the things we love about Christmas. Thanks Mary.

  90. We do not put a tree up any longer. We are older and its easier for us to just celebrate Christmas with presents and lots of good food. Merry Christmas to Mary Fish and family. Patricia Zelinski

  91. Years ago we coverted from a live tree to an artificial. The money that would have spent on a tree, is now sent to a local charity.
Each family member votes to select that year’s winning charity.
    Merry Christmas

  92. I LOVE my artificial tree. no more pine needles to clean up after Christmas. Merry Christmas to you.

  93. Artificial tree…so much easier and I can put it up the day after Thanksgiving!

  94. Cardinal is our state bird and always shows the beautiful side of nature with the sight of it in a tree or on a feeder. Makes your heart smile.

  95. Being a Southern girl, a flocked tree always seems magical to me. So, we have a flocked tree!

  96. I have no decorations in my house. As a child we always had real trees. In my younger adult years we had artificial trees and they were so easy to clean up. Then my husband got sick and it became too much work for me to bring everything up from the basement every year so about five years ago I quit decorating.Merry Christmas!

  97. Wow! SU! made my naturalized citizen friend, Olivia’s day! She lives Cardinals. This set would have her creativity into age 77 wonderfully! Thank you design team and stampinpretty.
    Big Sky

  98. Artificial tree for us…I like to change the theme every year though and this year we went with a red farmhouse look! Merry Christmas to all!

  99. Artificial, grew up with a real one as did my kids. Love the smell of the real tree…candles do the trick for an artificial one. Thank you Mary for the blog candy chance. Merry Christmas to you and your family. ?

  100. I love my pre-lit artificial tree. It stores easily and is easy to put together. Merry Christmas!

  101. We have an artificial tree with colored lights. My Mama lives with us and is very allergic and almost blind. This tree with blinking lights makes her so happy. That brings us so much joy!

  102. Artificial tree in our basement. I used to decorate a live tree for our kitchen, but they dry out so quickly and is not too safe next to the fireplace., I have to say, though, that our kitchen tree was always my favorite. It just smelled so good!

  103. Artificial, wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas. Love the cards you make.

  104. Artificial. That way the decorations and twinkling lights can stay up for the whole month of December. ❤️

  105. This year I did an artificial tree. It’s a small tree that sits on a table. Very easy to do!

  106. Since I have become allergic to the pine sap, all seven of my trees are artificial and they each have a theme. The kitchen tree is all cookie cutters. The guest bathroom is all seashells. The dining room is silver bells. I love Christmas.
    Merry Christmas ?

  107. We put up an artificial tree. We call it “our history” tree because it is covered with ornaments collected from the many places we have traveled.

  108. Artificial with multiple oranaments and multiple colored lights. I have my daughters from when she was born 32 years ago. Plus handmade when my kids were small.

  109. We decorate an artificial tree with only homemade decorations.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

  110. We gave in years ago and bought an artificial tree, miss the fresh smell, but can put it up earlier in the season without worrying if the tree will dry out. Merry merry Christmas! Thanks for all the inspiration you share!

  111. This year we decorated two small artificial trees on either side of our fireplace. Some years we have a real Christmas tree! As we age sometimes less decorating is good!

  112. We put up a small artificial tree. From our perspective they are a little easier to decorate and make look good. It can be difficult to find a good shaped tree. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I love your blog.

  113. My husband and I decorate our small little tree since our kids are grown and gone! I knew this day was coming but he and I still have each other and are so blessed!! That’s what Christmas is all about!!

  114. We decorate an artificial tree. We always did a natural tree till it fell down on Christmas Day eve. So we went out to buy an artificial one on super sale already set up and decorated that one for the remainder of the season. We now use an artificial because we found out how easy it is to set up and take down. I do however miss the smell of the natural tree.

  115. Hi Mary! Merry Christmas! I PREFER a real tree, but my DOG, come to find out is ALLERGIC! We’ve had to go with the artificial one?

  116. We decorate an artificial tree. We use all our favorite ornaments and a lovely handmade tree skirt. I would love the Toile set as I don’t have it and I love the cardinal and the paper.

  117. Beautiful. Cardinals Always remind me of our Loved ones in Heaven. Gods Little Love note to us on Earth.

  118. We decorate 4 trees! One is all Hallmark ornaments some series dating back 40 years. One tree is a Saints and has Santas, reindeer, elves. One tree is a snowman tree and has snowmen and snowflakes. The last tree is our family ornaments, things my children made at school man years ago and now things my grandchildren plus an assortment of ornaments some that I made before kids. We also have a small tree with all miniature ornaments.

  119. We finally bought a new artificial tree after our 25-year-old one finally was put to rest. This tree saw many wonderful years with our grandchildren, 5 cats, 4 doggies and lots of family reunions.
But I got tired of duct-taping the branches, LOL!!
So now, this new one is sitting pretty in our foyer, all lit up and adorned with lots of family ornaments, for some reason our kitty is not very much interested in trashing it or climbing it and for that, we are grateful.
    Merry Christmas!!
    XO

  120. I decorate an artificial tree that has been flocked. Living in south Texas that’s the only way to have a White Christmas!

  121. Holidays at my house are quite an ordeal to arrange. My aldult boys are married so I now have to share them. I still get very excited waiting for them to come over Christmas Day. I have a tree that I seem to change every 4-5 years. I am happy with my rustic tree and will keep that for a while. My other tree is a small one dedicated to the ornaments my boys made growing up. Included with a picture of them below it. This is my favorite tree. Soon I will start a third tree for all of the holiday things my new grandson (8 months old at this time) will make. In time this will be my new favorite tree. Happy holidays

  122. A small artificial silver tree surrounded by my eclectic tree collection. I enjoy looking at it. Love to win this lovely set. Thanks for the chance. Merry Christmas, Mary and Family.

  123. A small artificial silver tree surrounded by my eclectic tree collection. I enjoy looking at it. Love to win this lovely set. Thanks for the chance. Merry Christmas Mary and Family my.

  124. Hi Mary I absolutely love your blog! Definitely a real tree for us. We have a tradition each year as a family we go to a local tree farm and cut down a tree. Makes for a fun memorable day.

  125. I no longer put up a tree or decorate for the holidays but enjoy the beauty of other’s. Thanks for all you do Mary, truly inspirational.

  126. Real, absolutely love a live Christmas tree! It’s been a family tradition for over 20 years!

  127. We always had a real tree growing up in Lake Tahoe, but since we are older we’ve gone to an artificial tree. But I do miss the smell of a real tree. Thanks for the chance to win a beautiful set.

  128. Merry Christmas!
Artificial Christmas tree due to allergies to the fresh ones. We love decorating it with the homemade ornaments from years gone by and new baubles. I also like to add the Christmas cards that I have received for the current year. I have a beautiful Cardinal ornament too! Thank you!

  129. I dont put a tree because I have a small apartment. I do put up Christmas decorations and on my door. Great giveaway…thanks for the chance! Merry Christmas ??

  130. We’ll be celebrating Christmas with all of our grown children and their families at their homes, so we won’t be decorating our usual artificial tree that comes with colored lights. We are happy to see their trees. One tree has ornaments on the top half as it seems they have a 22 month old ornament remover.

  131. Artificial after one of our pets knocked it over! Each year I either made or bought ornaments for each child representative of something relative to their life that year, as well as one for my husband and I. Then when they each married I gave them their ornaments. Had to get a smaller tree after that! Now I get ornaments for each grandchild based on their birthday party theme.

  132. Merry Christmas! We used to have a real tree for about 50 years….but we have an artificial one now. I really miss the real one. Too hard to go get now…God bless to you and your family!

  133. I have an artificial tree that is covered with white flocking that looks like snow…it is beautiful and looks amazingly real!

Thank you for this opportunity to win the Toile Bundle!
    Barbara

  134. We used to cut down our own for many years, but now we have a pre lit artificial…so much easier and I feel better not cutting one down. Leave them for the birds to enjoy.

  135. This is an amazing giveaway. Would really love it. I normally do two artificial trees, however this year it just wasn’t possible due to my husbands health issues. Couldn’t manage the decorating with all the extra changes. Do have a lovely real wreath on our back porch. Blessings for a Merry Christmas for you and your family.

  136. Merry Christmas
We have an artificial Christmas Tree and every year I do it in all reds ornaments, and the next year it might be royal blues ornaments and every year it is a different color with bowl to match, everyone that comes wonders what color my tree will be, is really challenging to find new colors.

  137. My daughter and I use a prelit artificial tree which she loves to put up and decorate. This year she just put the tree up with no decorations and it still looks beautiful shining forth it’s little lights. Blessing during this season, and all next year, Mary.

  138. Living in Florida, real trees don’t last long so we have artificial (but quite beautiful) ones. We decorate one in the living room with colored lights and colorful ornaments, many that we collect in our travels. Then we have one in the porch with white lights and coastal decorations in beachy themed all coastal blue ornaments. We have a small gator tree in the kitchen and a small tree in the bedroom decorated with Eiffel Tower ornaments and a ceramic tree that belonged to my grandmother in my craft room.

  139. Again this year, we only put up the 3.5 ft artificial tree with colored lights for our 5 yr old great-granddaughter and she decorated it. We’ve had it for 3 years and she loves doing it herself(with a little help) with her unbreakable tiny ornaments and the special star she puts on top.

Thank you for the opportunity to win your beautiful blog candy.

  140. I have seen such beautiful cards made with this stamp set. It’s on my “to get” list!

  141. We have had an artificial tree for many years…..even since we realized our youngest son is allergic to pine ? . Merry Christmas!?

  142. In the Arizona desert I gave up on real years ago
We’ve had the same beautiful artificial unlit tree for over 20 years
I hate stringing the lights but it’s shaped so beautifully and looks so real I can’t bring myself to replace it with a prelit

    Merry Christmas ???

  143. We have an artificial tree. We often travel for the holidays and artificial trees are safer.

  144. I have an artificial tree and for the past couple of years I’ve decorated it with a rustic theme. Still have my bright and shiny Real Red and Pear Pizzaz theme that I can switch to when the notion hits though! Merry Christmas!

  145. We decorate an artificial tree. But since we miss the scent of pine, we purchase the pine scented sticks and hang them on to tree.

  146. I have two artificial trees and two ceramic trees decorated for the holidays. I love the light the trees add to the darkest days of the year! Thank you for the chance to enter the drawing for the toile bundle.
Thanks so much and Happy Holidays!

  147. Artificial pre-lit. We get a fresh wreath to enjoy the fragrance. Merry Christmas!

  148. A real tree. There is nothing better then picking out a tree with the family, bringing it home and decorating it together.

  149. We have an artificial tree that is decorated with all our favorite ornaments from over 40 years collecting!

  150. I usually use artificial Christmas trees. I have done live trees a few times and planted them outside after Christmas.

  151. Well, after a mishap a few years ago from cutting a real tree, ( hubby spent a few hours in the emergency room), we decided to go with an artificial tree. It has been decorated in many ways from pink and white Victorian, snowflakes, and traditional red and green.

  152. We have an artificial tree. We live where the winters are cold, and burn wood for our main source of heat. We were always afraid to have a real tree for fear of fire, so artificial made sense for us.

  153. Artificial tree, perfect for my tiny two-room home! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family, Mary.

  154. Merry Christmas!

I decorate an artificial tree. It is 7 1/2 foot tall with white flocking, pinecones and red berries. It is a pre-lit tree with white lights. I decorate with Harley Davidson ornaments for my husband along with my handmade ornaments and other ornaments I have received from family and friends. My home is decorated in a rustic farmhouse feel along with red and white. It is a magical time here.

  155. Definitely artificial! I’m allergic to the pine, so fake it is! thanks for the chance to win! Merry Christmas!

  156. My tree is artificial. About 5’. On the thin side!
All hand painted ornaments I traced and cut out on my jigsaw!
    Thank you for your blog!

  157. We have been decorating an artificial tree for many years because of my son’s asthma. We purchased a larger one last year because we have so many ornaments. However, last year we also purchased huge outdoor baubles for our plum tree in the front yard during the same shopping visit. We can enjoy artificial and live trees at the same time and don’t kill any trees to celebrate the season.

  158. We are enjoying a very beautiful artificial trees.
Real trees are hard to come by unless you go into the woods to cut your own, which wasn’t going to be possible this year.

  159. Artificial. Recently downsized from 9.5 ft to 7 ft. Pre-lit with clear lights, but wish I would have gotten colored lights. Had colored all my life and I miss them. Merry Christmas to all!

  160. I don’t decorate trees anymore since we moved to the north woods. God does such a better job decorating the great outdoors than I ever could so I just sit back and enjoy His majestic magic! Merry Christmas to you and all your readers!

  161. For me it’s not Christmas without a tree. Just gotta have one and it’s even better if I get a permit and find my own out in the wilderness.

  162. artificial because my husband is a hunter and to get a real one would interfere with deer season!

  163. I decorate 2 artificial trees. Then I use balsam, pine and evergreen scented candles to try and get a real tree fragrance.

  164. Although I love a real blue spruce tree, I have to now use an artificial one because of allergies and getting older. I need the simplicity of putting up an artificial one. I love the smell of holiday greenery but it just doesn’t love me when I am around it for extended periods. This is a beautiful bundle! Thanks for sharing!

  165. We decorate an artificial tree on Thanksgiving Day. We buy the pine scented sticks to hang on the tree to give it that special touch.

The best part of Christmas is the decorating of the tree and placing the Nativity scene under the tree. A special tradition my grandmother started in the 1920s. And that tradition is still continued today.

  166. I like the fake ones. I have this 7.5 foot tree that is so full and pretty. Absolutely love it
    Merry Christmas

  167. Artificial. Love that I can leave it up longer and don’t have the mess or hazard with dry needles. Merry Christmas !

    • Oops. Sent before finished. We had a real fur several years , but now have artificial.

  168. We always had a real tree when the kids were young. Now that they have started their own families, we have a smaller pre-lit artificial tree.

  169. For years we had a real tree. Now it is an artificial one.
    Merry Christmas to you.

  170. For most of my life I have always had a real tree. My children bought me an artificial tree this year.

  171. I have a pencil shape tree to fix in a small space looks good in front of the window. Love this set and could add it to making Christmas cards next year. Merry Christmas

  172. Artificial tree for us. Always hated the pine needles that were left in the carpet with the real tree. Hubby is volunteer firefighter now and real trees can be a big fire hazard.

  173. We decorate the smallest tree possible to make life easier and to ensure fewer swear words spoken. The bigger trees over the years have not only been frustrating to put together but near impossible to have the lights always working. So several years ago we bought a $15 4 foot tree that is already decorated and lit and in 1 piece. To make life easier for all involved.

  174. A beautiful artificial tree with faux snow and ice. It has lots of handmade ornaments on it. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

  175. I used to go all out for Christmas. We always had a real tree until we moved to Florida and went to fake. Now we are back in Maine but still did fake up until a few years ago. Now for the last couple years I have not had any tree at all, life changes things so much.

  176. No tree. The fewer decorations you put out, the less time it takes to put them away. Christmas trees kind of lost their charm the year a bunch of spider eggs hatched in our real tree and covered the tree with their shimmery web. Had to use my problem-solving skills to exterminate the little critters.

  177. I have a very small tree my husband pass away 2and half year ago so it’s not like it use to be But my sister in law got me hook on stampinup so i would like to start get my own stamps i been using her

  178. Artificial — it just made sense if you take in the ever-increasing cost of a “real” tree, not to mention all that time spent picking out a “real” tree every Christmas. And now we can decide on a moment’s notice when to decorate our artificial tree — even if it’s before the real trees are available!

  179. I love decorating for Christmas, my favorite holiday. We used to get a live tree, sometimes a balled one to replant outside. But, the prices have gone crazy high, so a few years ago we bought a nice artificial one. I decorate it with my childhood ornaments we received each year. Some were handed down from parents and grandparents. Very special memories.

  180. We’ve had several artificial trees for the last 20 years or so. I like to decorate them each differently. One is traditional with a large assortment of mostly handcrafted ornaments. Others have had themes like snowmen, shiny ornaments, all one color ornament, etc. I love real trees, but it seems a tragedy to cut them all down. Merry Christmas!

  181. This year I had to get a 4’ 1/2” artificial tree. I had to decorate it with items I set aside to use on Christmas Wreaths ( I usually make them for gifts). It still came out cute. My husband passed in January so most of our items are in a shed since my adult children and I had to move in with my 90 yr old father. All is good just a big adjustment. Getting back to making cards is uplifting my spirts!! Plus looking at your card samples!!
    Thank you!

  182. We have an artificial tree ( it’s wonderful not to have to crawl under it to water it everyday?). We fill it full of silk poinsettia blossoms and lots and lots of small picture frames filled with pictures of our son from the time he was a baby and now his two sons, our precious grandchildren. Christmas is my favorite time of the year ‼️?

  183. Hi Mary, I decorate an artificial tree. I love that the lights are already on it! I only do one tree now, used to also decorate my mother’s tree, also artificial. But I have enough ornaments for 5 trees!
It was so wonderful to meet you at On Stage! Thank you for all your great card ideas. The Cardinal is a great set. Cardinals were mycarolina mother’s favorite birds. After hearing and seeing them in South {we do not have them in California!} I also love them. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

  184. We’ve done artificial for the past few years because we put it up after Thanksgiving and don’t take it down till the end of January.

  185. I love a real tree and the wonderful smell, but as I have gotten older I do a small artificial tree. I do love that you can leave it up longer with no worries of it drying out and being a hazard. Either way, I love a tree!

  186. We always use an artificial tree because one of my kids is allergic to everything. The crazy thing this year is my husband, who never decorates the Christmas tree, decided to put it up before Thanksgiving. He even had the Christmas lights up and on.

  187. Only real trees for us. Living in New Hampshire, we love supporting our local tree farmers even though it kinda hurts cutting down a tree. But it keeps the farmers in business. Merry Christmas and Happy New year!

  188. We have a real tree; we always have. There are some artificial trees that look nicer than the real ones, but I just love having a real one. They smell so good.

  189. I grew up with a grandfather raising Real Christmas Trees…..I now decorate with Artificial Trees…..6 to be exact in my small 1,000 sq ft. house. I love the Christmas Holidays!

  190. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2020 …
The red cardinals remind me of when i was little girl to watch them doing sitting on the branch , fly back and forth and play with other red cardinals even also I watched the blue jay doing same thing .. I still miss to watch them .. today not much to see the bird at all .. love to watch and wondering about them to commuincate and other thing in body language ,, Awesome .. Mary

  191. We have artificial tree , this year 7 foot pencil, with gold and red ornaments and candy canes , ?
    MsMary have a wonderful holiday,
    Hugs Frenchie ??????

  192. Both of us have allergies, so it has to be an artificial tree for us. Wishing you grace and peace this Christmas season.

  193. We would love to have a real tree, but since both of us have allergies, our tree has to be artificial. Wishing you peace and grace this Christmas season.

  194. We have an artificial tree, I’m highly allergic to cedar and pine. I decorate 3 ceramic trees as well as the main tree.

  195. This year I opted NOT to put up my artificial tree and that’s OK. Some years I feel like making the effort and some years I don’t. The Christmas pillows and hand towels went out and I called it decorated!?

  196. My Mom loved Cardinals especially at Christmas. This set brings such sweet memories of her flooding back to me. Good luck everyone.

  197. Real always. From Charlie Browns to the perfect one in the forest. We have loved them all. Husband dies the cutting and lights. Daughter does the decorations and I do the base and room decorations.
Live the cardinal set and hope to win. Thank yo and I hope you have a wonderful holiday with family and friends.

  198. We have a artificial tree, the decorations change each year. this year it is red bulbs, burlap ribbon & craft wrapping paper with red ribbon.
    Merry Christmas

  199. Artificial, but two and each have their own color scheme. The presents under each are wrapped in color coordinated paper also!! And believe it or not, this is my husband’s doing. He LOVES decorating for Christmas and I am one blessed wife!

  200. REAL – Absolutly! Love the smell of the forest inside. Even with needles on the rug, we wouldn’t be without one. We even have a real wreath, supporting our high school key club. My parents always wait for me to do the decorating from the large box of ornaments my Mom has collected and my Grandmother made.
Really LOVE the cardinal bundle. Thank you for the opportunity to win.

  201. We have both a real with white lights in the living room; it smells so good! And the artificial in the family room with multi colored lights and homemade decorations for the grandkids.

  202. I have 2 artificial trees. One larger prelit tree for the fancier decorations and one skinnier tree for the more casual ornaments.

  203. We have put up an artificial trees for many years. Loved a fresh tree but it always made me sad when the ornaments were drooping by Christmas. I make sure to burn balsam candles! Wishing you a blessed Christmas and Happy New Year.

  204. Merry Christmas!
We had a real tree when the kids were little until the year we actually had to replace our real tree 3x! Evidently it was a bad year for real trees! We’ve had artificial every since. Miss the smell of the real tree…

  205. Decided after reaching 70 that a real tree was too much for both of us. Decorate a small artificial tree with antique ornaments.

  206. I love Charlie Brown Christmas Tree! My neighbor shares extra left over branches which I place in a colorful yellow and blue basket. I decorate the tree with ornaments I bought during a Christmas store sale the residents at Shodair Children made three years ago. The tree is truly a joy that brings a smile to my face. I also place a great Merry Christmas block decoration my sister, Ginger, and a friend, Mary Linn, made a few years ago. I love this decoration. Sometimes I place my ceramic tree with music box on an end table.

  207. I always remember and love fresh trees for the aroma and beauty from earlier years when we raised our family but the last few years we have had an artificial tree since we have been traveling from NJ to Indiana to celebrate Christmas with our youngest daughter and her family. Since we are away for about a week it is a safe decoration that does not require care but still helps put us in the holiday mood. Christmas will always be my favorite time of year and I enjoy decorating the house inside and out!

  208. Artificial – it’s ready when we are and it’s a very pretty one. People are always surprised when I tell them it’s not real.
    Have a wonderful Christmas!

  209. Merry Christmas, Mary and Family!
I decorate two small artificial trees. One tree has ornaments that my mom crocheted. Some of those ornaments are from my childhood! There is also a small tag-card my great-grandmother gave me one Christmas. The other tree has more crocheted ornaments plus photo ones. There is even a snowflake ornament I made with Stampin Up dies. Best wishes!

  210. I decorate with artificial trees – yes plural. One tree is downstairs in our fun room with family memory ornaments, the second tree is upstairs in our living room with vintage ornaments I have collected through the years. Both trees have multicolored lights.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS

  211. Being older and not so well, we have a small artificial tree (Purchased from Balsam Hill – highly recommend.) which we are able to wrap up and store after Christmas, then next year just unwrap it and voila, we have a beautiful decorated tree. Love it

  212. The tree we decorate has changed over the years. We started with a real tree we cut down but then could not lift it to put it on the top of the vehicle. So we dragged the tree down the road until we found an embankment we could park next to and roll the tree on top of the vehicle. That wasn’t bad enough. Once we got home, we had to remove part of the door/frame to get into the house. That was the end of the real tree. Next came a large artificial tree which was beautiful. However I bought my wife an oak roll top desk (which she always wanted) which was extremely heavy to move. So now we have a smaller artificial tree which I decorate. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

  213. Real! We venture up Mount Bachelor and search out a pine, thank the Earth for her bounty and be-dazzle it with many homemade and special decorations.

  214. When my hubby and I were first married we had a real tree (love the smell), however we caught the dog drinking from the stand – yuck! Now we have an artificial tree and have had one for 19 years, well three artificial trees have been purchased over the course of those three years. Merry Christmas!!

  215. I grew up with artificial trees because my dad said real ones are fire hazards. They were terrible trying to put together branch by branch when I was a kid. I finally bought myself a six foot tall pre-lit tree that only comes in two pieces. So much easier! Thanks for the chance to win this gorgeous bundle and Merry Christmas!

  216. Because I moved around a lot with the military, it was just easier to have an artificial tree than to get a real one as we never knew where we would be at Christmas!!! I’ve always loved this set but did not get a chance to order it! I was lucky enough to get a pre-lit tree from Lowe’s for $15.

  217. We used to have a real tree. My cousin owned a Christmas Tree farm, Noel Tree Farm and we would go and cut one down. We later found out our son had allergies and had to go to the fake kind. We would also put a tree in his bedroom. He loved to go to sleep with the tree lights on.
    Wishing all a Blessed Holiday.

  218. Oh Mary! What a beautiful set to offer as a give away. We use an artificial tree due to allergies in family. I do miss the scent of a real tree.

  219. We use an artificial tree. We finally got a new one this year after using the same tree for 44 years.

  220. We decorate an artificial tree with hand-crafted plastic cross-stitched ornaments that I have been making for the past forty years. I make fifty of them a year and give them to family and close friends.Merry Christmas to you and your family.

  221. We have a table top 4′ tree sitting in the window. I like to use ornaments made when my boys were little, and have added those given to us made by the grandchildren or friends. Merry Christmas! Thank you for your wonderful ideas through the years.

  222. we have a fake tree due to my allergies. We have homemade ornaments on our tree that were made by my sister in law. She made us new ornaments each year. Made one for each of us each year.

  223. We do not put up a traditional Christmas tree. But I have a hand-blown one with hand-blown ornament balls that I have out during the Holidays. It is priceless to me.

  224. We have a 4′ artificial tree with handmade ornaments made by children and grandchildren.

  225. We have decorated an artificial tree for years after experiencing a real tree we purchased at a tree farm near where we lived (which I love because of the smell) that was full of tiny black spiders. I came home from working one day and my ceiling was black above the tree with those little black spiders. It’s been artificial ever since for me! But I do miss the smell.

  226. First, Merry Christmas to you and your family! I just have a small tree that fits on a table and decorate with miniature ornaments, While I miss my usual big tree, this small one looks very pretty too.
Thanks for all you share on your wonderful blog.
Merry Christmas and best wishes for lots of blessing ion the new year.

  227. We have an artificial tree because we want to enjoy it longer. I love Christmas it is my favorite holiday. I also love a little countertop tree in my kitchen decorated with gingerbread people.

  228. I have eliminated the dragging of a real tree into the house and dragging an artificial one out of attic by putting lights on an artificial tree I have (not pine) in my living room. Great easy substitute!! With age one learns many tricks!!

  229. Being we are now 74 and 77 years old, we switched to a four foot artificial tree. Less work to put up and take down. Christmas is my favorite time of the year for us. This cardnal set is fabulous for the holidays.

  230. I have to use an artificial tree. I have 2 rambunctious rescue cats, and they would absolutely destroy a real tree. I do love the smell a real tree gives the house, but that’s just not possible.

  231. Hi Mary, Merry Christmas and to a blessed New Year. I have a four ft. artificial tree decorated with paper snow flakes dark red poinsettias. God’s blessings to you and the family.

  232. We have an artificial tree, lets see how long it lasts with three kittys plaing with the ornaments!!!!!

  233. Artificial. Last real one that we chopped down had to be tied with rope to stand up straight.

  234. My husband liked his artificial trees, but since it’s up to our son and I now, we love our fresh cut tree! Last year we went to a tree farm but this year, due to my cataract surgery, we went back to a favorite place, owned by a family who grow their trees on their Oregon tree farm and bring them to Roseville CA on trucks, as they have been doing for decades.

  235. Hi Mary! Have a Merry Christmas and to a blessed New Year. God’s blessings to you and the family, I Have a four ft. fiber optic artificial tree decorated with paper snow flakes with dark red poinsettias.

  236. We have both! Artificial in the house, real in the garage/shop. We have a large extended family & gather in the garage for our get togethers.

  237. We have a real fir tree, I just love the scent coming from a real tree. It’s decorated with vanilla, copper and gold ornaments, ribbon and some handmade star shaped ornaments.

  238. We have a pre-lighted artificial tree to which I add two more strands of colored lights, treasured ornaments, and tinsel. Several of my ornaments are from the 1940s when I was growing up. The majority are treasures my four children made for me when they were young.
    Merry Christmas Mary

  239. I am continually amazed at all the inspiration that is shared with so much joy and enthusiasm!

Since I have several health issues that are challenging, I have one small artificial tree decorated with two new strings of colored lights and some ornaments made by my two children over 40 years ago!! The tree is placed on the mantle and it brings a lot of sparkle to my life!!

  240. Hi,
I have always loved a real Frasier fir or Douglas fir for our Christmas tree. However, because I found out I’m allergic to real trees, we had to go with an artificial tree this year. No mess, and if the ornament isn’t hanging just right, then I just bend the branch a little to make it fit. I’ll always live a real tree, though!

  241. We used to do live trees when the kids were younger and at home. Now that we are empty-nesters we use an artificial tree. At least I’m not finding needles in February. I do miss the smell!

  242. Real if family comes, but a large pine cone tree if it’s just the two of us– which is technically made of real pine cones so…. real real?

  243. Artificial but my husband still would love to have a real one!! Love your creativity!!

  244. We have an artificial tree…..it’s just so much easier. But I love to hang pine sticks in among the branches. The lights heat them up and give off the smell of pine as though it were a real Christmas tree!

  245. Fake tree, as too lazy and real ones keep getting more n more expensive.
Could not decide if I “needed” this set or not!!

  246. When we downsized to our condo 3 yrs ago went to a perfect 4ft artificial tree, even though we are surrounded by Christmas Tree farms. We devout more time to all the other joys of Christmas.
Hope your holiday is the best!

  247. Artificial. This year I’ve done outdoors ; pine cones, animals, birds and raffia. Inspired by trip to Montana!

  248. When I was younger, my family always had an artificial tree but now we have a real tree. I live the smell of the real tree but like the fact you can keep the artificial tree up longer!

  249. Normally we have a table top fiber optic. However this year we are having Christmas at our house. So we have our large artificial tree with all our old family homemade ornaments. We are enjoying the old memories and making new ones. Have a Blessed Merry Christmas!

  250. Hi Mary! Every year we decorate an artificial tree. After having watched National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation movie a few times, the squirrel would be a bit much for me to handle! ?

  251. I have a small table top artificial tree that is decorated with some tiny lights and a handful of very sentimental ornaments going back to when my kids were in pre-school (30 plus years ago)! It always elicits such happy memories.

  252. we use an artificial tree. no shedding and no bugs. When decorated it looks real nice. enjoy your postings.

  253. We put up an artificial tree with no ornaments in the house. With two large dogs and three curious cats the ornaments fall off fast. We have a cottage on the property for guests and we put up a small artificial tree with ornaments for the guests to enjoy. Thank you so much for offering an awesome blog candy. Merry Christmas!

  254. We have a real tree decorated with ornaments given to us by family members and friends over the years. Our cat claims the tree as her own and even has a special ornament that she can bat around to her hearts content.

  255. We decorate an artificial Christmas tree at our house. Years ago I started getting sick with a sinus infection after our real tree was in the house for about a week and a half. I discovered that I was allergic to the tree as it began to dry out. I miss the fragrance of a real tree, but do not miss the getting sick part.

  256. We decorate an artificial tree, Just because the real ones that we planted in the yard are too big now to go in the house, We planted pine trees when we moved into our house and enjoyed growing our own Christmas trees in our yard. We are waiting now for the smaller ones to get big again. So right now it is an artificial one.

  257. When we first married it was always real. But allergies and children led to using an artificial tree. Now as empty nesters, the ease of setting up a prelit tree is awesome. The best part of Christmas is recognizing all that Jesus has done for us! Merry Christmas Mary!

  258. I don’t decorate a tree because I live by myself. When I DO decorate a tree, I prefer an artificial one.

  259. In 44 years of marriage we have had only real trees twice. Otherwise we would have one 5′ or 6′ artificial and as many as three 2′ ones. But We have not had a tree in 4 years since we live in a travel trailer with no room for even a small tree. Just some garland, lights, and a few ornaments.

Love the red cardinals in winter scenes!!

  260. I have a small artificial tree I decorate with blue lights and blue and silver decorations in the house. A small fiber optics tree in the sun room and an 6′ artificial tree outside on the deck with colored light and snow (when available). Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year to you and yours.

  261. We have been putting up an artificial tree for the last several years. Even though I don’t like it as well as a fresh tree, a appreciate the ease.

  262. My dear, thank you for affording me the opportunity to win this set….
As for me of late, no more pine tree filled with blue lights; as I have aged I now decorate around tree near my barn, filling the bird feeders with seed and bread crumbs.. the music from them is wonderful and to see the different colors of birds…I feel so blessed with this tree of Life.
    Merry Christmas!!

  263. Artificial trees here….getting too old to drag in the fresh ones, although I love them. Merry Christmas, Mary

  264. Artificial, but only because I haven’t been able to afford a Real one! My son is almost 12 and maybe next year we can get him his first real tree! Thanks for the chance, I love cardinals and haven’t been able to get it!

  265. Definitely artificial because I like to put a tree up early and keep it up until January 6! Merry Mary Christmas! Thanks for the catalogs!

  266. We have an very pretty artificial tree and have decorated it beautifully with our collection of Old World ornaments.

  267. Merry Christmas to you and your family. I live in an apartment and space is limited, so I have a 4 foot artificial tree. This year it is the prettiest ever – decorated with special ornaments and treasures collected over the past 70+ years.

  268. None it is just me and my husband and we have Christmas with our grown children at their homes.

  269. We have downsized to an alpine tree with pre-lit white lights. Merry Christmas, Mary, and thanks for the chance to win this wonderful bundle.

  271. I decorate an artificial tree. I love real trees but due to allergies can’t have one. Merry Christmas everyone!

  272. Hi Mary,
We’ve enjoyed an artificial tree for many years. The tree is full of special sentimental ornaments. Enjoy your Christmas!
Merry Christmas and God bless–Nancy H

  273. Usually I decorate an artificial tree but this year we got a Frazier Fir for the first time in years. Love decorating it with handmade ornaments that my mom made of pictures of my brother & I on Christmas morning (every year since 1958)!! She stopped in 1983 but 25 years of Christmas morning pictures captured in a ornament is priceless. Especially since mom has been gone for 10 years now.

  274. We always cut a tree from the farm. It looks great every year. I add my handmade gift cards and we are a go.

  275. We live in a condo so I decorate our dining area chandelier with paper ornaments I made from SU DSP.

  276. I decorate 3 artificial trees, one is entirely decorated with only Hallmark ornaments that I’ve been collecting since 1973. Although I love the smell of real trees, I like to leave my tree up for a long time.

  277. there is nothing nicer than a real tree. Come inside to the aroma of the fresh tree—that is Christmas:) so nice to watch TV and have the comfort and memories of the lights and ornaments……

  278. I decorated two artificial ones this year. (Most years it depends on if we’re traveling or able to get out for a real tree) An angel themed one in our entry & one in the family room for our menagerie of collected & gifted ornaments. My grown children still love to look at the ornaments on that tree & remember the trip, event or person the ornament came from..such fun memories.
    Merry Christmas!

  279. For the last two years we’ve gone to an artificial tree. Never thought I’d do this, but my husband who does the work of tree set up wanted the change.

  280. For 29 years we had a real tree. Love the Christmas tree and loved going out and cutting our tree but last year we had quite the time and couldn’t find a tree farm open! So we went and bought our first artificial tree. I love it too! Merry Christmas to you and yours!

  281. I put up an artificial tree. Living in the desert, a real tree would not last as long as it would in cooler climes. Before living in Palm Desert we always had a real tree which smelled so nice. Miss that smell!

  282. We used to have a real tree but have since gone to artificial. LOVE you sample card using the stamp set & dies!!! Merry Christmas!

  283. Over the past fifteen years or so, we’ve had a real, cut tree – and that’s mainly because my husband didn’t want to drag our ten year old artificial one down from the attic. Secretly I was fine with this, as I love the way a real tree looks and smells. For the past several years, our trees have only been decorated with a strand of white twinkling lights and two strands of solidly lit colored ones – but somehow that is more than enough. Topping it off is an Angel, watching, gifting it with the real meaning for which it is here. Merry Christmas everyone.

  284. I love real trees, but I enjoy that I can leave me artificial tree out way longer.

  285. Hi Mary, Merry Christmas! I am allergic to real trees. So bringing one in the house guarantee’s what my family has come to know as my “Christmas Bronchitis”, Sad but true.

  286. We have an artificial tree. My sister in law loves real trees though. She passed away three months ago and it’s difficult to look at our tree.

  287. I have an artificial tree this year. First tree I have put up in a few years because of a little black kitty. He still wants to play with the ornaments at the bottom, but at least he is not trying to climb it.

So enjoy reading your blog. Happy Holidays to you and your family!

  288. I decorate an artificial tree, but would love to have a real tree for Christmas

  289. Prefer the scents of the season, but have gone artificial in consideration of those with allergies. We have decided to make daily walks part of our routine to enjoy those rich, natural fragrances..

  290. None. My husband recently passed away and I just can’t get into the Christmas Spirit, this year.

    • My deepest sympathies. I have two friends who are sharing you heartache this year. So sorry for your loss. Grace and peace to you. ❤️❤️❤️

  291. Artificial I’m afraid! I’m not able tolerate many fragrances or odors so I’m not able enjoy the wonderful pine tree aroma in our home. The last time we decorated a live tree was when our son came home on his first leave from the Navy and I wanted to surprise him. By the second day the tree was set up I had a constant headache and ended up with a sinus infection. Over the years I’ve also had to learn to enjoy flowers from afar or in pictures. Certainly not the same as the real thing!! Merry Christmas, Mary, and a big Congratulations to the lucky winner!

  292. I like both real trees and decorate a traditional tree with all kinds of different ornaments, lights and candy canes.

  293. thanks Mary for a chance to win this wonderful suite – I do an artificial multi colored pre-lit tree, which I call a forever tree- I decorate with mostly Hallmark ornaments that I have collected since I was first married over 40 years ago. I still add more each year as new ornament themes come into play with grandchildren.

  294. We have 3 different sized smallish artificial trees decorated with homemade and antique treasures. Merry Christmas Mary!

  295. Happy Christmas to ALL! We’ve been decorating a “forever tree” for a long number of years. Each year I add another Santa ornament. It’s fun for the kids and grandkids to find the “new” ornament.

  296. We decorate an artificial tree with white lights and Hallmark ornaments. This year my 16 year old son asked me why we don’t decorate our tree with Christmas ball. Guess we’ll be doing that next year. You’re projects give me lots of inspiration. . . thank you. I made my mom a card with a cardinal on it this year and she absolutely loved it. Merry Christmas!

  297. On Thanksgiving Day my husband puts up an artificial tree. He strings the extra lights. Then we hang the ornaments in between the cooking moments. This tree will usually stay up until mid January. Its nice to just sit in the livingroom with only the tree lights on and contemplate. Very relaxing.

  298. We have a table top artificial tree that the cats have…so far….left alone. Merry Christmas!

  299. We decorate with 3 artificial Christmas Trees. Setting up trees the day after Thanksgiving and keeping them up until the Epiphany make it hard to have a real tree. We love our trees from our Charlie Brown tree to our Family tree and can’t forget our nutcracker tree. All full of ornaments gathered through out many many years and memories. Have a very Merry Christmas.

  300. I love real trees and had one while the children were here but I really hate putting on the lights so once they were gone I switched to a fake tree and I really enjoy how much less stress I have 🙂

  301. Hi Mary! I’m allergic to live trees and I have no storage area for an artificial tree and decorations. The only Christmas decoration I need is a Nativity! It’s that special touch for a meaningful Christmas celebration for me. Merry Christmas!

  302. I haven’t put up a tree since I lost my husband. Next year I think I will as I am missing the joy it gave me.
Merry Christmas and may 2020 bring blessings to everyone.

  303. We started with an artificial tree when our boys were young. Now, we go and cut down our real tree from the Rocky Mountains.

I decorate it with ornaments handed down from my great grandparents and parents, on both sides of the family.

There is nothing like the fresh smell of a pine tree!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family,Mary! Also, thank you for everything you have done for me.

  304. We decorate an artificial tree. Haven’t had a real tree since I was little. Merry Christmas everyone!

  305. I have had an artificial tree for 44 years. Allergies and cost started us using artificial trees. I am on the third artificial tree. We bought the first one on the day after Christmas sale in 1974. That one just became problematic and I bought the next on the day after Christmas 90% off sale at MJ Design in 1997. It was $10!! My husband I bought a table top tree in 2013. And I bought a small ceramic tree with lights this year in preparation for moving to senior living in the nest few years.

  306. Artificial tree at my house. It has little pine cones and white lights! Simple but elegant! Merry Christmas!

  307. We have a real tree. Love the smell but… mine is so dry and messy. Longing for an artificial one but no room to store it all year : / Merry Christmas!!

  308. Merry Christmas Mary! What a beautiful set for you to give away! We love watching the cardinals on our bird feeder and know when one appears it is a visitor from Heaven. Enjoy this time with your family!

    • Oops I tried to edit my reply but I couldn’t…anyways we do have an artificial tree that is filled with homemade ornaments and Mickey Mouse too.

  309. We have three trees. All artificial since my allergies are not fond of the stuff that comes in on real trees! A small 3 footer sits on a table in our living room to great the neighbors and passerby’s. A Carlie Brown tree is in our basement rec room since hubby is down there a lot and wanted a tree. A seven footer is in our dining room since that is where we open gifts with the family on Christmas Eve, we also have nativity scenes in every room to remember the real reason to celebrate. Even the bathroom!

  310. I decorate 3 artificial trees. I love the smell of real trees, but we had a particularly sticky and sappy one a few years ago so I go with artificial now! Merry Christmas!

  311. We have an artificial tree, but I always complained that it didn’t smell like a real tree. So several years ago, my husband bought a pine car scent tree and hung it on the tree ?. It doesn’t smell anymore but it goes on the tree every year. Merry Christmas!!

  312. We decorate 2 artificial trees with colored lights & ornaments we’ve collected over the years. Merry Christmas Mary!

  313. As I am allergic to the mold on real trees, we use a beautiful fake one. Love to pull out the ornaments we have collected over the years!

  314. I decorate an artificial tree. Thank you for the chance to win.
    Merry Christmas

  315. I have a small home so using a small artificial tree works best for me
    Merry Christmas, Mary

  316. Thanks for your beautiful inspiration with this set! I love the smell of real trees but we have an artificial tree with pre strung lights that looks quite real so that is what we use. I do miss the fir smell though.

  317. We have an artificial tree, 4 foot with fiber optic lights. We have had this tree for many years. Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years.

  318. It’s my job to decorate throughout the house. I gave setting up our artificial tree to my husband. His idea of decorating it is … no ornaments. Just lights. At first I cringed, but you know, it’s really very pretty. Merry Christmas, everyone!

  319. Love our multi-colored lit artificial tree/a real money saver when using year after year. More money for stamps!

  320. We decorate an artificial one every year since we were a military family it was just more practical and we have decorations from all over the world for it..
    Merry Christmas

  321. We traded in our big artificial tree for a 4-ft artificial one with colored lights.

  322. Merry Christmas! an artificial tree, but missing the wonderful pine fragrance of the real tree…maybe next year! My decorations are mostly all keepsakes I have made over the years along with a few sparkling collectibles.

  323. This is a beautiful set. THANK YOU for the opportunity to win it! Merry Christmas to you and your family.

  324. We have a beautiful 9 foot very realistic tree. This is our third year with it and when I am finished decorating it, I feel very satisfied. Just like when I finish making my 80 Christmas cards!

  325. I bought a new artificial tree that really looks real. I need to put up an artificial tree as I tend to not want to put it away. I use a candle to help get the fragrance of a real tree.

  326. I have a cat and thru years of experience, I have learned it is best to NOT decorate my artificial pencil trees. I have a group of three in varying sizes that are prelit and flocked, so it just looks like a peaceful winter scene.

  327. For the inside, we have a small artificial tree. But – outside we decorate two of our Blue Spruce pine trees. As the trees grow larger and taller we plant another new tree to decorate in a a few years. But, as we grow older, that may have to come to an end. So nice to see the lighted trees!

  328. Artificial. When the kids were small we always got a real tree. Now they are grown up and gone and we have an artificial tree.

  329. we’ve done articial for years now. We used to do 2 trees, now down to just one. Merry Christmas everyone!

  330. Merry Christmas! I love this stamp set – it reminds me of my mother who passed two years ago. She had a small glass collection of birds. She loved cardinals! Wishing you a blessed Christmas with your family!

  331. My greatest joy at Christmas is the expression on the little ones faces
to open a gift that they really wanted and the hugs you get after.
    Merry Christmas to everyone.
My Tree is very small decorated with very old Hallmark and glass
ball decorations which are an accumulation of a lot of years.

  332. We decorate a real tree. I love the smell of pine throughout the house! Merry Christmas to you, Mary, and wishes for a very happy new year!

  333. We have an artificial prelit tree with red and white ornaments. We love to have the tree lit at night and early morning.

  334. My greatest joy at Christmas is the expression on the little ones faces
to open a gift that they really wanted and the hugs you get after.
    Merry Christmas to everyone.

  335. I decorate a small tree that was my mother’s – who is now gone. It always brings her close in memory.

  336. I have used a artificial tree the last 9 years!
It is a slim one and fits better in the house I live in now.
We had real trees when the children were at home in our other house!

  337. Real…always real..!! Bringing the smell of a cut tree into my home is the way I always remember starting off the holiday season. Blessings to all for a wonderful holiday season and New Year!!

  338. Retired now here in Florida, we have artificial, but coming from northern New York State, we always had real. So fragrant!

  339. Allergies have the best of me do it’s artificial for us. What a lovely bundle. Merry Christmas to you and yours

  340. We’ve always had a real tree. I love the smell and imperfections of a real tree. Merry Christmas and thanks for the chance to win.

  341. We put up artificial trees one in the living room and one on the back porch. We have a cat that likes to destroy them so that is the reason we dont have real trees…. Merry Christmas to you and may the following year be wonderful.

  342. Artificial – 40 year old artificial tree and still going strong! I decorated it with my boys when they were young and now with my grandson. My husband and I bought our 7″ very full tree at Target 40 years ago this year and their after Christmas sale 75% off for $35.00. Its still prettier than what I see for sale now for hundreds of dollars! We love it.

  343. I love a real tree but we live in a retirement community and it just isn’t an option but we do decorate a small fake tree.

  344. We have several artificial trees. I love having the tree up and on for the month of Dec so although I love a fresh tree not realistic to enjoy for so long. Merry Christmas!

  345. We decorate a small artificial tree with small wooden ornaments that we bought in Switzerland 40 years ago. It looks so pretty in our front window.
    Merry Christmas to all!

  346. Artificial tree. Our house is pretty small, so I bought a ‘pencil’ tree which fits nicely in a corner. It came with lights on it, so just a few garlands and baubles and it looks very nice!

  347. I use a fake tree because real ones cost to much anymore but I ove thereal ones

  348. Thank you for the opportunity! It is a beautiful set!!!I love a real Christmas tree but this year I put up an artificial one since I am spending most days at the hospital with my mother. I brought over her decorations and hope it will be a wonderful surprise for her when she comes home later today after her blood transfusion. Happy Holidays to you and your family! ?

  349. Artificial, but this year was a bummer as the top of our one year old pre-lit tree did not light and customer service will not get back to us to try and troubleshoot it☹️ Merry Christmas to you and yours?

  350. A few years ago we converted to an artificial tree because we like to put our tree up before Thanksgiving. We decorate it with white lights, assorted themed red, white and green ornaments, and of course, the ornaments made by our children over the years!

Wishing you and your family a very merry Christmas and a Blessed new year!

  351. We have one of each! I love to decorate them with vintage ornaments. Have a very merry Christmas.

  352. I decorate an artificial tree. I have one with the lights already attached, which makes it easy. My ornaments hang beautifully on the branches. Merry Christmas!

  353. We have an artificial one with white lights and Nativity ornaments I have collected/people have given me for 40 years. Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!!

  354. I like real Christmas trees and we always went out and cut one down with the kids. Now I like the little fake tree as it is less work and mess. Merry Christmas.

  355. I usually have five trees each year….. 3 forever trees and 2 fresh trees. Decorate ever room of the house. Love it to be as festive as possible.

  356. We have an artificial tree with white mini lights and all hand made ornaments collected over the years. Have a Merry Christmas Mary and family and thanks for the chance to win such a beautiful bundle, love the cardinal.

  357. We decorate an artificial tree. I store it in a special closet completely decorated. When the magical time comes to begin celebrating Christmas, we roll it out of its closet and plug it in. Glorious! And once decorated, it’s done and dusted. I do miss the smell of a real tree.

  358. Hi Mary,
The tree I decorate depends if my son is able to cut us one from our ranch in Montana. You can’t resist the fresh smell of a real Christmas tree for the holidays. If he’s busy, I do have a beautiful artificial tree as backup. MERRY CHRISTMAS

  359. Artificial
Would live to have this stamp set
Merry Christmas to you and your family

  363. Artificial tree but have a pine scented candle glowing! Our tree includes framed photos of Christmas past and numerous homemade ornaments . Merry Christmas Mary!

    • We always had artificial trees, as the years gone by the trees are getting smaller now that the kids are on their own and in different states ?

  364. It used to be real but now it is artificial. The artificial ones now look so much like real ones. And they come pre-lit!! Allows for more fun decorating without the frustration of stringing lights. Merry Christmas!!

  365. We always had a real tree till moving to the midwest from the northwest where we could cut our own each year. Now w have a tall skinny country artificial tree that is really cute. I miss the real tree smell but then remember the year the real one had loads of baby spiders on it! That was not fun!!

  366. Real tree! We have friends who have a family tree farm and we get a fresh tree from them. Being so fresh allows us to keep the tree up until mid January which we love as those weeks after Christmas allow us to totally relax and enjoy the tree’s beauty!

  367. Although I live a real tree, we have used an artificial tree for years. I don’t like the idea of killing a tree for such a short use of time. We can still decorate with lots of cute crafts we have made over the years!

  368. We decorate a 3 foot tree on a skirted table. The tree has pine cones and looks real. It makes me smile very time I light it.

  369. Artificial trees are a must in our house. The entire family has allergies. Love this time of year and all the preparations. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  370. I use a 9 foot artificial tree trimmed with a lot of cardinals,
berries and other greenery to get the rustic outside look

  371. Small, beautiful live tree, a Norfolk Pine, which we purchased last year. In North Carolina, it stayed inside during the winter and lived outside during the summer – very slow growing. So, for the second year, we decorate it with a string of small crystal lights and it sits on top of our glass-top coffee table. We decorate around it. Gifts go on the rug under the tree.
It is all quite different from the many years of trees of 6-8 tall. All the adult children and grandkids are in California.

  372. We have had artificial trees for years. We have cats and they leave the artificial trees alone.

  373. Lovely stamp set. Your web site is an inspiration for all. I really enjoy getting it.

  374. We have an artificial tree filled with handmade ornaments and red ball ornaments. Each year the handmade gems bring back many warm memories.

  375. My favorite choice would be a real one, hand-cut from the forest around our area but for our scaled-down Christmas this year we have a little artificial one that works just fine!

  376. I love a real tree! The smell just fills the house. Merry Christmas and here’s to a New Year filled with scrapbooking!

  377. Usually I decorate a small tabletop artificial tree. This year I bought a miniature artificial tree and decorated it to look like a snowman. I love it. ❤️

  378. None this year as we just moved and are still living around boxes and unpacking, but it doesn’t seem like Christmas without one. May have to bring in the mini tree from the garage but next year we will have a nice artificial tree! Merry Christmas Mary and to all!

  379. We do the artificial tree. Next year I want a real tree. Love the smell of a fresh cut tree.

  380. We put up an artificial tree, which we have to barricade, due to a mischievous cat, whose name is Woody. But I miss the smell of a real tree in the house. Thank you for sharing all your beautiful cards and a beautiful blog candy giveaway suite.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  381. We always had a live tree from my inlaws or the local tree farm. Last year we got an artificial tree with lights and I love it! My kids are grown and not here all the time so it’s just easier for decorating.

  382. Artificial tree with multicolored lights; no ornaments, but an angel on top which has yet to be noticed by new, curious kitten… Ho, ho, ho!

  383. I decorate an artificial tree with clear lights and this year am using silver and red colors, but get that fresh smell of pine which I love with a fresh wreath on the front door and iij n flower arrangements sprinkled throughout the house.
    Merry Christmas to all!

  384. 3 artificial trees! One in red and silver (white lights), one in copper, silver and gold (white lights) and one with multicolor lights and all the ornaments we have collected over the years (my fav)
    Merry Christmas!

  385. At our home we use a combination of real and artificial. We hang decorations our children, grand children and GREATgrands have made. Each year we make more, and the young ones take home what they make and their Moms have saved the decorations for them.

  386. Since I’ve retired and live alone I rarely put up a Christmas tree, but I love the Christmas season and seeing all the pretty decorations.

  387. We have a flocked artificial tree with white lights that I decorate with all red ornaments and red bead garlands. Merry Christmas!

  388. We have an artificial tree. I love the scent of a real tree but hate the mess when you take it down. The artificial ones with the lights already included are a real time saver.

  389. Our tree is artificial (alergic to molds 🙁 ) and has ornaments from first Christmas for all family. My husband and I have ornaments from 1950, our kids from 1970’s and 80’s with grandkids 2000 and 2010. I add red beads and other glass ornaments. I really think that the lights really add to any tree!

  390. Artificial. My grandpa had asthma and we could never have a real tree so even now I use artificial as that is all I’ve known.

  391. Merry Christmas Mary, we don’t have a tree, we are on the road with our motor coach.

  392. I decorate an artificial tree each year and have ever since my daughter’s pediatrician said she was allergic to the real one. I miss the smell but not her being sick. Most of my ornaments are ones I have had for many years and bring back sweet memories.

  393. I LOVE a real tree- white lights, cranberry garland, mostly angels, & glass ornaments <3

  394. We are full time travelling RVers so we have the cutest little artificial tree with the manger displayed beneath

  395. I love this set. Thanks for the chance to win it. Have a very Merry Christmas ??

  396. We had real trees for many years when our boys were young but now we put up an artificial one. As forgetful as I’m getting, I’d probably forget to water a real one and it would be nothing but dried up branches with piles of needles beneath it! Merry Christmas and thanks for the opportunity to win this set!

  397. I’m in the midst of a do-over at my house. Not remodeling, exactly, but more repurposing how rooms are used – this is a very small house, not even 1,000 sq. ft. – and editing what to keep and what to let go, so Christmas decorating is simple this year. The main decoration is a forest from my collection of vintage bottlebrush trees as well as some made of fabric and others of squares of old paper threaded onto spindles, arranged on top of a cabinet with a backdrop of a salvaged window frame with vestiges of green paint, and some old birdhouses I found at an antiques mall. Quite peaceful, actually. Which I need in the midst of the other chaos!

  398. We decorate an artificial tree, when we lived in Michigan we had real trees. Since moving to Arizona we got an artificial one…do miss the real trees though.

  399. We have an artificial tree, pre-lit. We have allergies in our family so this is what we use. It’s pretty and easy to put together. About half of the ornaments are handmade. Thanks for a chance to win.

  400. Looks like a bundle that would produce beautiful things. Thanks for the chance to win. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  401. This year we decorated a small artificial tree as we are visiting our daughter for Christmas . I also have a lovely ceramic tree with the lights which I also love
Thanks for the opportunity to win such a beautiful set.

  402. We have an artificial fiber optic tree decorated with multi-color lights, old and new ornaments, and an angel on top. Ready to celebrate.

  403. We have an artificial tree with colored lights. We decorate it mostly with our daughters homemade ornaments that she made during her younger years. We also have an ornament for every dog we’ve had over the years, including the current one, who is a Boston Terrier/Pug mix that we rescued. We love our tree!

  404. We decorate a 10 foot artificial tree every year with the choice of white lights, colored lights, or blinking between white and colored lights.

  405. I have three artificial trees; the large one has all the sentimental and various handmade items collected over 70+ years; a slim one on the upper level decorated in blues and a slim one going downstairs with handmade teddy bears.
Many blessing for this wonderful time of year.

  406. Allergies required us to make the change to artificial years ago … Merry Christmas!!

  407. We roll out the same artificial tree; it’s been our tradition for over 30 years. Along with our legacy of family ornaments. Thanks for the chance to win this beautiful bundle!

  408. Two little artificial trees, one in my window and one downstairs with tiny ornaments on them. Merry Christmas!

  409. Over my lifetime have had both real and artificial trees but right now, none due to the fact we travel to our grandkids a lot over the holidays. Hope to someday again put up a tree!

  410. We have an artificial tree. It is decorated with much loved ornaments, that are from my childhood, some are created by our daughters when they were little and some were gifts from treasured friends. Christmas is my favorite time of year.

  411. Merry Christmas Mary! When our children were young we used to get bundled up and go out to a Christmas tree farm and search for the perfect tree to cut down. We’d walk through the “woods” for what seemed like hours and inevitably we’d end up cutting down the first tree we choose, lol. We’d get the tree back to the truck, have some hot chocolate from the thermos and some cookies and head home to decorate. When the boys (3) got older we bought a beautiful artificial tree that we still put up 25 years later and it’s just as beautiful now. Back then there was no such thing as a pre lit tree, so the lights have to be strung but that’s part of the joy. Thanks for taking me down memory lane, I hadn’t thought of those happy times in a long while!

  412. My husband & I are both having some health issues this year, so we have our horseshoe tree filled with ornaments. Kind of brings a smile!

  413. This year we bought a new skinny artificial tree due to lack of space. It’s flocked with silver ornaments and white lights. Also have a half of tree with red ornaments and white lights; and a smaller tree for my Hummel ornaments.

  414. We have an artificial tree decorated with homemade ornaments and ornaments we’ve collected during vacations. I love the ornaments our children made.

    Have a Merry Christmas!

  415. Merry Christmas!
We have an artificial tree. One of my cats chewed on the real tree so we could discover he was allergic to it.

  416. My hubby and I do use an artificial tree these days. But, when our kids were young , we always did a real tree. It was a “family” event to all go together to pick just the right tree – so many great memories ! Now that we are older, none of our kids and grandkids still live in Houston , so we are making new memories! Easier for us , but we re-live those past memories as we put up the tree by ourselves and enjoy all the ornaments we have collected through the years. Many are handmade that our kids made, lots of ones with their photos on them, places and events we were a part of, some given to us from friends, our different pets through the years – but each one represents our 51 years of marriage and each one so special! And, now with 11 grandkids adding new ones by continuing to give us more , it definitely makes the tree full of LOVE! We praise God every day for blessings He has allowed us to be a part of and giving us the real reason we celebrate Christmas to start with – giving us His Son – Jesus! Merry Christmas to you and yours as you celebrate – wherever you are or whoever you are with!

  417. I decorate an artificial tree & set out a music box tree that was my mothers given to her & made by my daughter. Wonderful memories!

  418. After many years of being a “real” tree gal, we switched to a beautiful artificial tree. Merry Christmas to all!

  419. We decorate an artificial tree with our granddaughters. We use ornaments and decorations we’ve gotten in our travels over the years.
Wherever we go we find a Christmas shop and get a new ornament.

  420. This year it is a real Fraser fir. Sometimes do artificial especially if we plan to travel to our daughters in CO over the holidays.

  421. After 40 years of cutting a 14 foot real tree, I am now putting up a 12 foot artificial. It too, is beautiful. But I miss the evergreen smell in the house.

  422. We usually decorate an artificial tree especially on the years that we travel over Christmas to visit family. Every now and then, we get a real tree when we’re going to be home to water it. I love to decorate a tree whether it is real or artificial. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  423. Artificial! I used a live tree my first married Christmas and that was the end of it. I want to put tree up early and leave it a little longer – one year I kept it up til summer, changing decorations! Live trees smell so wonderful but cleaning up the needles and concern over fires are too much for moi!

  424. I have a artificial tree that I have used for many years. It’s has the lights already and I’m glad that I don’t have to struggle with stringing lights.

Thank you for all the inspiration on your blog this year. and I would love to win your blog candy. I’ve decided that I need to get a head start on making Christmas cards for next year.

Merry Christmas to you and your family

  425. I have a real-looking artificial tree. No mess with sap or pine needles and I light a scented candle to get the pine smell.

  426. We do artificial now just because we’re getting older and it takes too much energy. Our tree is actually a tree that collapses flat and stays decorated. Scrooge is lobbying for a tree magnified on a wall. I’m holding the line on that one!!

  427. I have an artificial tree. It’s decorated with ornaments friends have given me. I also have some Stampin’ Up snowflake ornaments from a few years ago. White lights complete the tree.
    Happyy holiday wishes to all!

  428. I celebrate Christmas with 5 artificial trees, each with a different theme: traditional, Irish, beaded fruit (for the dining room), Hallmark, and finally, a travel tree with ornaments from vacations (this one was my husbands idea!). Have a very Merry Christmas Mary!

  429. Oh I have to use artificial. I have such a collection of ornaments and it takes hours to decorate the tree plus I want to enjoy it for weeks so artificial is the solution. Real are fabulous , though, and I love their smell.

  430. Artifical … I live in Phoenix, Az and like to decorate early. I worry about a real tree catching fire !

  431. We decorate an artificial tree with colored lights, treasured ornaments made by my children as well as ornaments passed down from my grandmother and parents. Merry Christmas.

  432. We have/decorate an artificial tree….. in fact we have one BIG, family tree and SEVEN little ‘theme’ ? trees. We have an angel ? tree (with angels from around the world & US that we have visited); an American red/white & blue tree; a penguin tree (in memory of my brother); a snowman ⛄️ tree; a school tree (we are retired public school teachers); an Adriondack tree (because we live so close to them) and an Eastern European tree (my husband is 100% Polish): one for every room…. except the bathroom ???. I ❤️❤️❤️Christmas ?!

  433. I would prefer a real tree but in recent years we have resorted to an artificial tree so we can keep it up longer. I use real pine boughs on the mantle and elsewhere in my decorating so I still have the smell of pine in the house.

  434. I love live Christmas Trees, but we have gotten ourselves an
artificial one with loads and loads of lights. I miss the smell of
    a fresh tree.

  435. We always decorate a live tree, it is always so pretty. Thanks for the chance to win. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

  436. Both, the live one for the Christmas smells and 4 little artificial trees, including a Charlie Brown tree.

  437. Artificial tree decorated with ornaments with sentimental appeal. Merry Christmas, Mary, to you and your family.

  438. Hi, Mary! Merry Christmas to you! I have an artificial tree that is decorated with white lights, pink, silver, white and crystal ornaments and silver and crystal beaded garlands. It is beautiful! May your Christmas be filled with love!

  439. We put up an artificial tree. Lots of allergies in the household. Put it up early and it can stay up for a longer period of time to be able to enjoy it. Wishing you and your family and Merry Christmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year !

  440. We decorate an artificial Balsam Hill tree with lots of homemade crocheted ornaments I made, Hallmark dated ornaments, ornaments with pictures of us from that year and top it off with a big gold bow from our 50th anniversary. It is definitely a free full of memories.

  441. We are “hold outs” for real Christmas trees! We love the pine smell it fills the house with. Merry Christmas, Mary!

  442. We cut down a Frasier fir each year. Many of our decorations are from places that we have visited.

  443. Thank you for your daily inspiration for all of us card makers! I can’t imagine how much work goes into your blogs. Have a restful and Merry Christmas!

  444. We have an artificial tree. This year we have new tree problems caused by 2 sweet kittens!

  445. For many years we put up a real tree now it’s artificial. We have the grandkids over for a tree decorating sleepover. We all have a great time! Merry Christmas!

  446. If it’s not real, I prefer not to put one up. No offense to anyone who prefers artificial—that’s just my preference.

  447. We have an artificial tree because we travel north for the holidays and it’s safer to have an artificial tree up than take a chance on a real one drying out and catching fire. We’re also able to enjoy a bit longer!

  448. There is nothing like a real tree. We use a small artiifical tree that has the lights on already. I still use beautiful ornaments that have been given to me thru the years, and as I place them, I think thru the memories of who has given them to us.

  449. We have three artificial trees. A few years ago my husband said ‘Never Again’ as he cut the limbs off the real tree so he could get it out of the house! I miss the smell, but love my trees!
Thanks so much for doing these giveaways!! Fun read about other stampers and to dream about the possibility of winning!!?

  450. Artificial but haven’t put one up the last eight years. My mom died end of November 8 years ago and I just haven’t been able to put one up since. We always go to daughters for Christmas and we are gone for a week first part of December and then leave for Florida right after so just don’t put one up.

  451. Artificial – and I absolutely love this time of year when my house is all festive and decorated for Christmas!

  452. Since we are traveling this year, I didn’t put up a Christmas Tree. However, I do have a little 12” bitty fake pine tree with red berries in our RV!
    Merry Christmas stampers!!

  453. I have an artificial tree, the tall pencil type that requires a ladder to assemble, with lots of white lights. And it’s on a timer so becomes a cheery welcome home when we get back to the house each evening.

  454. We have an artificial tree due to allergies. Thankfully, they are better quality now and look more real than they used to be, but I hate the fact they aren’t as good for the environment. Thanks for the chance to win! Merry Christmas!

  455. We put up an artificial tree, decorated with white lights and ornaments from our travels, handmade ornaments our children made, family ornaments passed down and country decorations. Thanks for your ideas, assistance and chance to win.

  456. I’ve been doing artificial for many years now. Easier to do in my old age! Thanks for the chance to win this beautiful set. Merry Christmas! Karla

  457. It’s artificial, but covered with homemade ornaments. Lots of love and memories on that tree!

  458. A Christmas tree is the center of the family activity on this wonderful holiday and the perfect tree can be whatever strikes you as the perfect tree! Merry Christmas and a bright and happy New Year 2020!

  459. Always love to see your creations! This bundle would be an added bonus to my inventory of stamps and die cuts!

    Merry Christmas!

  460. I love the fragrance of having a real tree but have used a artificial tree for years. I decorate my tree with poinsettias, large red bulbs on a green/white snowy tree with green and red ribbon woven between the limbs with a bow on top! I believe all trees are beautiful!! Merry Christmas everyone!

  461. Two ceramic trees. One my mother made and we have had it for 52 years. She is now deceased so it means so much more to us. The tree has traveled many miles, from NY to KY, OH, MA, MS, TN and AZ. There are many precious memories that come with the use of our tree. Thanks, Mom!

  462. Hi Mary,
I love a real tree for Christmas….for the experience of the hay wagon to and from the field, to the search for the perfect one, and finally the smell….there is nothing better than how it makes the house Christmas!
    Merry Christmas Mary?

  463. I do an artificial tree…Thanks for the chance to win this awesome bundle….love cardinals, I have them in my backyard feeder all the time.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!!

  464. I decorate an artificial tree. I am alone and I put up the tree with some of my ornaments that are older than me-some belonged to my Mother and I enjoy looking at them when the tree is all lit up.

    Merry Christmas

  465. I have a 7 1/2 foot artificial tree. I decorate it the weekend after Thanksgiving with frosted cranberry and frosted white ornaments glass icicles, unblinking white lights and beaded garland. It stays up until January 2.

  466. Artificial tree! Putting the lights on the real tree every year just sent me over the edge. About 8 years ago, I decided I had enough and splurged for an artificial pre-lit tree. That was a game changer for me! So glad I took the plunge! Leaves me more time for paper crafting!

  467. I’m resigned to an artificial tree 🙁 But how I miss and yearn for a real tree again!
Would love to win the toile bundle!

  468. I use an artificial 7.5 foot tree. I love that I can leave it up for a month, and not have to worry about it. I use colored lights, because I love all the colorful lights.

  469. Artificial due to allergies in the family. It works but I do miss all the fuss surrounding real trees.

  470. Artificial. Bought live ones for years, planted them, no luck. Gave up! First year with the brand new artificial, our tree topper ended up being our 5 month old kitten! Yikes! She bent the tree, husband fixed it, but it’s never been quite the same since! Still have the tree — still have the kitten (cat now, 12 yrs)! Meowy Christmas!!!

  471. We prefer real but have an artificial tree. Once in a while we will go out in the woods and cut a tree down but only if it was destined to be cut down anyway.

  472. I put white lites on 3 pencil trees and just a few special decorations. I love the cardinal in that set.

  473. Artificial tree now. While the kids were growing up, we went to a tree farm and picked out our own tree.

  474. I love a fresh tree and the aroma, and always had a fresh tree when the children were growing up, but I decorate with an artificial one now. A simple thin tree with colored lights and ornaments and I’m happy~

  475. Artificial due to allergies everyone has. It works but I do miss a real tree.

  476. Although I don’t put up a tree any more, my home is decorated in the traditional red and green of the Christmas season. I have a small collection of Nativity scene I like to display.

  477. We decorate an artificial tree. I use white lights with lots of clear glass, red and gold ornaments. However, one ornament that always has a special place on our tree is a glass pickle that belonged to my parents. It has to be over 50 years old at this point! One day I will pass the pickle down to the next generation!

  478. we have a little artificial tree, our cats will leave it alone and don’t take it as a challenge that way! of course this is after they try to bat off an ornament! Merry Christmas!

  479. We decorate an artificial tree with ornaments from mine and my husbands childhood, from all our son made over the years and ones we’ve collected over the years. Merry Christmas!

  480. We decorate an artificial tree with homemade ornaments and ornaments collected showing each year we have been married….42!

  481. I decorate an artificial tree now but I have always preferred a real one. At my age getting a real one is just too difficult now. ?

  482. We have artificial but as a child my dad went out and cut our tree and it was a true Charlie Brown tree

  483. Artificial, we live in Florida and the real ones dry out so fast. I do miss the wonderful smell though.

  484. we decorate a real tree. We go the day after Christmas as a family and cut one down then spend the next day decorating it.

  485. We have artificial but I so remember the real trees as a child my dad went and cut down. They were so Charlie Brown style and he would wire branches to make it even!

  486. I decorate an artificial tree each year with traditional colored lights and decorations and ornaments saved from over the years.

  487. With 2 very busy cats, I do an artificial tree (but I love the smell of a read one!). Would love to win that beautiful set, too – thanks for the opportunity and have a wonderful Christmas!!

  488. I decorate a tall pencil tree with a little ice and berries on it. All I put on are birds. The birds are of many different materials and styles. Of course lots of lights. I leave it up until February

  489. We have an artificial tree now. It is decorated with ornaments that I have collected from our travels and some that my children made. It is always fun to see each one.

  490. I think that set is beautiful and not only for Christmas but for anytime of year. The red is so lovely!

  491. I decorate two trees – one ten-foot artificial in my living room and one five-foot real tree in my breakfast area. The artificial tree us pre-lit with white lights. The real tree had colored lights. Both have many different types of ornaments. Merry Christmas, Mary.

  492. I can’t remember the last time I’ve had a natural tree in forever! We have several fake trees and my grandson chose the white one with embedded fiber optic lights. It has plain round ornaments, all different colors. Everyone just HAS to touch it.

  493. The last few years it has been artificial? Because of our age and medical problems we couldn’t handle a real tree. We rather have a real one. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  494. Artificial. Since my grown children moved out of state, I am often away from home for holidays. So my decorating has become “minimalistic” these days!

  495. I decorate an artifical tree with colored lights. All the ornaments are sentimental ones. One is over 65 years old.

  496. Our tree is artificial. The pre-strung lights and color variations make it so easy so we can get on to the good stuff. On top of those are all our so sentimental ornaments – lots of them!
Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas!

  497. We always had a live tree cut from the woods and dragged home (think “Christmas Vacation” LOL) but when my daughter went to college she wanted to put up our tree at Thanksgiving, so that meant switching to an artificial one. Now that she is an adult with a family of her own, she has all our family ornaments, some of them generations old, and I have a small tabletop tree with handcrafted miniature ornaments made by and with my stamping friends. We add one every year to the tree and extras go on a garland across the bank of 4 windows in my dining room. I still miss the scent of fresh greens but have learned to live with the ambiance of candles.
Thank you, Mary, for your unending generosity. Merry Christmas to you and your family with thanks from us all for continually sharing your creative talent and passion.

  498. Through the years we have evolved from real tree to artificial and now this year to none. Health problems this year just prevented the usual decorating. Hopefully next year we’ll be back to normal.

  499. Artificial. White lights with red and gold ornaments. The family tree is downstairs with all the fun ornaments we have collected.

  500. My artificial tree is very life-like. While my husband prefers the multicolor lights, I much prefer the clear. It is gorgeous when fully decorated. I diffuse an essential oil blend which makes the house smell awesome. I just love Christmas —- almost as much as Halloween LOL

  501. We have an artificial tree decorated with criss-cross ribbons and crystals. Underneath, we have added one item of non-perishable food for each day of Advent.

The real meaning of Christmas is the giving of love everyday.

    • Merry Christmas Mary! We decorate an artificial tree because we put it up in late November and enjoy it well into January!

  502. Real, but so small. I think they call them “Table-Top” size now.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
    Healthy and Blessed 2020.

  503. Artificial but our memories are in the ornaments rather than the tree.
Each year we buy an ornament or sometimes many ornaments commemorating our past year. We have wonderful memories when we decorate the tree. Now with the grandbabies it’s great to see their faces light up when we tell them the “back story” of each ornament. They can’t imagine their dad going to study abroad in China or participating in an international bowling tournament in England at the ripe old age of 13. It gives them context and a stronger sense of family! Now when they see their ornaments going up on the tree, they are very proud to be a part of our family!

  504. Growing up we used to go to a Christmas Tree farm and cut down our own tree. After leaving home many many years ago, we went artificial.

Merry Christmas! and thank you for entering me into this fabulous blog giveaway!

  505. Mary, I would love to be the recipient of the Toile Christmas Bundle! It is a beautiful set. Thank you for being so generous. I would share it with my sisters when we stamp together. You know I appreciate your style. You make me want to buy more products than I had decided to! Anyway, congratulations to whoever is the fortunate one and Merry Christmas to all!

  506. I purchased a small 3 foot tree decorated in red and white and with lights. We were downsizing and then moved and it fits perfectly on my antique library table and does not take any floor space. It is very festive with type of ornaments and even Christmas mice decked out in their finest.

  507. I decorate my grandparents’ tinsel tree and a Charlie Brown tree every year!
    Merry Christmas!!

  508. This year for the very first time ever we got a real tree. I absolutely love it! I think it’s going to become a new holiday tradition. Merry Christmas to you!

  509. A real tree and we cut it down in Bethlehem, NH every year as a family. It generally takes a bit to decide on one with all of us traipsing through the snow in different directions – LOL. We decorate in all white lights and all the kids handmade decorations throughout the years wind up on it along with other special ornaments. I love it every year as much as prior years

  510. We no longer put up and decorate a Christmas tree, as we are always at our daughter’s home and help put up their artificial tree, which is beautifully decorated w/years of homemade ornaments. Thank u for a chance to win this lovely bundle. Have a Merry Christmas!

  511. Artificial – I have 2 male dogs so a real tree just doesn’t work. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

  512. We usually have a real tree, and I love the smell! But this year has been very different… so we have a small artificial tree on our tabletop. Thankful that it has small ornaments on it, representing Christmas memories we have made this year. Thanks for the chance, Mary!

  513. We put up an artificial tree now that we are older. It has all antique ornaments from our families as well as a few that have memories special to us. It is filled in with lace snowflakes.

  514. I decorate both a real Christmas tree and artificial. My artificial tree is a white one with white lights, 3 black ornaments, two tree twigs, mittens and a scarf., with a big snowman head. The real one is an 8 foot scotch pine with white lights and traditional ornaments. Some are homemade..

  515. For the irate time this year we did both. Usually we just do a real tree. This year my husband wanted to try an artificial tree. They are both beautiful in their own way.

  516. I decorate a 9 foot fresh Fraiser fir in the living room and an artificial 7 foot pencil tree in the kitchen. It’s still not enough room for all my ornaments!

  517. I decorate six artificial trees and a Swedish wooden tree. The six trees are a snowman tree, a gingerbread tree,an original first tree, a cross stitched, smocked and needlepoint tree, a Santa Claus needlepoint tree, and a smaller s’mores tree. I love Christmas trees.

  518. We normally decorate an artificial tree but have in the past decorated a real tree. But this year because of my back and neck troubles we did not do a tree. We did put a wreath up outside though.

  519. We have three scraggly little artificial trees, decorated with white lights and homemade ornaments.

  520. I decorate an artificial tree with handmade decorations. Merry Christmas; success and good health in 2020 and thank you so much for all you do and send to us.

  521. My lovely little tree is wood made from recycled pallets bought from a local high-school

  522. Merry Christmas Mary,

My tree needs to be cat friendly so I use wooden and brass ornaments. I tie ribbon bows on the branches and love the little white lights.

    Thanks for your inspiration!

  523. None-ish…one of our rescue kitties had a severe allergic reaction to our first ever real Christmas tree. So now we put lights in the wall in the shape of a Christmas tree and hang ornament from it. It’s actually really pretty!

  524. Absolutely real. When I was a child my family would go into the woods and cut our tree down. Just can not bring myself to go to artificial. Happy holidays to you.

  525. What a beautiful, generous giveaway!

We go out to the tree farm every year and cut our tree. The aroma in the house is divine! I just love having a fresh tree.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  526. Real of course! We have 2 trees each year one for adults and 1 grinch tree for my son who loves all things grinch merry Christmas love the spell of Frazier fur

  527. Right now the only Christmas tree I put up is my “Charlie Brown” one with the big red ball and little blanket tucked around the bottom. My elderly cat destroys everything else. But I like it.

  528. 5 years ago we were putting up our artificial tree and my husband of 15 years says “ I wish we could have a real tree”. I was shocked because he never said it before so we donated our artificial one to a needy family and went and bought a real one. Every since then we have had a real one ?

  529. Real. Growing Up we always had real and in raising My Daughter it was always real.

  530. We have an artificial tree that is prelight with lights. This year I purchased shatter proof ornaments as I have 3 dogs and 2 cats. It has worked out great this year.

  531. I have a beautiful artificial tree with multi colored lights, but have not put it up for a couple of years.

  532. Artificial trees at our house! I love the cardinal stamp! Thanks for the giveaway and Merry Christmas!

  533. It’s a real tree for us. Love the fresh tree scent and beautiful branches. Merry Christmas and thanks for the chance to win.

  534. We have always used a real tree for years. Who doesn’t like the look and smell of a real tree. However, we have recently switched to artificial. The kids are grown up and moved out, it’s easier at our age, and let’s face it – less clean up. But I miss the real tree.

  535. I have an artificial tree, my cardinal tree! Over the years I have collected ornaments featuring cardinals. Some are birdfeeders, bird houses, nests and of course cardinals. My grandchildren love decorating the tree each year and are excited to see a tree full of my favorite red bird!

  536. Love my 5ft artificial tree – fits anywhere without the fuss and muss. I also have assorted tabletop bottlebrush type trees and lighted garland in various places too. Merry Christmas!

  537. We have an artificial tree because I am allergic to the pine ones. I have a house with cathedral ceilings so we have a 9 foot pre lit .tree. It is awesome when decorated.

  538. We decorate an artificial tree with white lights and all handmade ornaments. Even the the paper ornaments made by our son in kindergarten over 25 years ago make our tree beautiful and special.

  539. We have an artificial tree for convenience and cost, but I miss the smell of a traditional tree. Thank you for the opportunity to win this beautiful bundle! Merry Christmas to you and yours and thank you for sharing your talents with us! ?

  540. I do artificial…more cost effective over the long term and if you have a good one looks realistic…like the smell of a real tree…but could do without the pine needle clean up….

  541. Love the look and smell of a real tree, but it really pains me to cut a tree down so it can die a couple of weeks later-so we have a artificial tree. When decorated it looks beautiful and we know that we have spared the life of a tree somewhere! Merry Christmas to you and your family.

  542. I love my Alpine pencil tree-so simple and loaded with tiny white lights, gold ornaments and little gifts hung throughout the branches. (I don’t like to think of a tree being cut down for just two weeks of the year!)

  543. Thanks Mary for the opportunity to win some swag! I’m a traditional kinda girl – so it’s real tree all the way. Have a Merry Christmas.

  544. My husband Jim loved Christmas. We started our marriage with a real tree. The third year we had to push it out the 2nd story window(an apartment) because all the needles fell off every time we entered the room. It was months before we got the needles out of the rug. Enter the artificial tree. We finally found the perfect tree after Christmas. One year we decorated our artificial tree and it was magnificent. Everything was perfect. So we left it up. It has been up for over 15 years. It serves as a reminder all year of what we would like the world to be…full of faith, hope, love, kindness and compassion. Jim passed away in 2018, so now the tree is also a reminder of him and the 53 joy filled years we were together. May your life be blessed as you are a blessing to others.
    patti moffett

  545. We decorate one tree that is half VW, my husbands passion and half Cincinnati Reds my favorite team. The other tree which was our kids tree has now become our travel tree since they are grown and gone.

  546. I use artificial, usually. I especially love bringing out my grandmothers retro aluminum tree on certain occasions, it is quite fragile, but reminds me of times gone by and brings me such joy! ?

  547. We have an artificial tree because I get so attached to it that I don’t take it down until February!

  548. My husband and I have downsized from a large house to an 800 sq. ft. one-bedroom condo. It was a challenge and one thing that I chose to leave out was my many Christmas Trees. I now do lovely arrangements and wreaths to decorate for the holiday season. I love to slip some of my favorite cards in them. Stampin’ Up is the one craft that fits well in my new home and lifestyle.

  549. I love real trees. Love the smell of it throughout the house.
The lights and the little santas and gnomos.

  550. I love real trees. Love the smell of it throughout the house.
The lights and the little santas and gnomos.

  551. No tree this year due to my Dad dying 11/24. If I were home I’d put up a small artificial tree on top of a piece of furniture. My usual tree wouldn’t work due to my dog going blind suddenly this year and don’t want her running into it by not seeing the branches. Thanks for a chance. Looking forward to creating in 2020.

  552. For many years we have had an artificial tree. I miss the scent of the real pine. This year all my Christmas decorations are in the attic and I haven’t been able to get them down. Finally my husband bought a used white pre-lit tree. It’s super ugly in the daylight but at night with the lights off except for the little clear ones on the tree itself, it’s quite nice. I just gathered various small objects from my every day decor to hang from or perch upon it’s branches.

  553. I decorate an artificial tree. I like to put the tree up around the end of November. It stays all season long without loosing any needles LOL.
Merry Christmas Mary. I so enjoy reading your posts.

  554. Artificial – It is decorated with ornaments we have collected through the years! Merry Christmas!

  555. Artificial tree. My house is too dry for a real tree. White lights and multi colored decorations collected over the years.

  556. I usually have an artificial tree. This year I have none. I lost my son & can’t bear to put it up.

  557. I usually put up and decorate an artificial tree. However, since rescuing two kittens from the same litter tree decorating has become quite interesting. They like to topple over trees, pull branches out, knock ornaments off and turn them into toys, or chew the wires on lights. So I have been disappointed the last couple of years. It really depressed me to think of not having a tree. So this year we got a 4 ft fiber optic tree And the cats have not messed with it! We put it on a small table and I have seen each cat lying underneath the tree at different times. That’s a win for me!

  558. I cherish the scent of a real tree and the traditions of bringing it home. It is decorated with colored C7 lights and ornaments collected through the years symbolizing memories from the past. Plus real trees are an important conservation crop.

  559. Douglas fir for me. I love the way they look and the way they smell. Happy holidays to you and your family.

  560. I have an artificial tree, and decorate with ornaments I have collected over the years.

  561. None. But I do have a lighted hand-made tree this year and….. it is PURPLE! Thanks so much for the opportunity!

  562. Our tree is artificial, but decorated with over 80 gold and white Christian monograms that I cross stitched when my children were little. These include all the names of Jesus and different Christian symbols.

  563. We decorate artificial trees. The main tree is covered in lights and our 40 year collection of Hallmark ornaments. The grandkids love to search the tree for the ones that are new. Our other tree is decorated in teardrop campers. We try to find a new ones on every trip.

  564. Artificial – we put our tree up too early to have a live tree, it would never make it until Christmas. Also, some of my ornaments are heavy, my artificial tree handles them better.

  565. Our tree is a little 4 foot artificial tree. It is decorated with white lights and ornaments that are glass, handmade by very dear friends (many that have passed away), or unusual ornaments. For instance, one is a Santa made from a pod of okra.

    Merry Christmas!

  566. We always decorate a real tree. There’s nothing like the smell of a real tree at Christmas time!!

  567. I put up an artificial tree (or two) in every room. I leave them undecorated, and place them in crocks, baskets, sleds, anythig old. My main decorated tree is also artificial.

  568. Sadly, we don’t do a tree. We have a cat that is part puppy, and eats everything. Back in the day when we had to trim our own stamps, he ate some of the rubber pieces. After a very expensive surgery, my husband told me I had to make a choice. Sam or a tree. I chose Sam. Never thought anything about giving him the pieces, as my female, Libby, was 2 years older, and loved to play with the pieces. It was one of her favorite “cat toys”.

    • We put up an artificial tree. I miss the smell of and search for the real tree, but the ease of the artificial won out with my husband! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Mary.,
