Heartfelt Love You Valentine

Learn how to creae this valentine using the Meant to Be Bundle From Stampin' Up!

This heartfelt valentine is for my daughter, Caroline.  It showcases the Stampin’ Up! All My Love Designer Series Paper and the Meant to Be Bundle (one of My Favorite Things from the Occasions Catalog).   I love the modern mix of hearts in this pattern.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS:

Start with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base of Whisper White Thick card stock.

Use a Big Shot and 3rd largest Rectangle Stitched Framelit Die, one of My Favorite Things from the 2019 Occasions Catalog, to crop a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Adhere to the card base as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Layer and adhere a 3 x 3 1/2 piece of All My Love Heart Designer Series Paper onto a 3 1/4 x 3 3/4 piece of Lovely Lipstick card stock.  Adhere to the stitched rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use the Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Use the Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, & the tag die from the Detailed Birthday Edgelits Dies to crop the sentiment.  Run a piece of Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine through the tag opening and tie in a bow.

Use the Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, and smallest narrow heart die from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits to crop a piece of Real Red card stock. Adhere to tag as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use the Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, and multiple heart die (Be Mine Stitched Framelits, one of My Favorite Things) to crop the smaller heart.  Adhere to the heart with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.  TIP:  For a perfect match, I cropped the smaller heart from the lighter, printed heart on the All My Love Designer Series Paper.

Use the Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment (Forever Lovely Stamp Set) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto the inside of the card.

Use the Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, and long scalloped die (Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies) to crop the flap of a Whisper White Medium Envelope.  You can watch a video sharing tips on this technique here.

  1. Once again Mary you have amazing ideas and you have made a beautiful card, I really love your envelope idea it is gorgeous.

  2. This is so clean and fresh, and lots of white. I noticed in your video that you have labeled your top Big Shot cutting pad. How many pads do you keep – are they assigned for cutting, embossing, etc.? Thanks for your tips.

    • Glad you enjoyed the card, Margaret. Meg Daves has a video showing the benefits of using a top and bottom cutting pad. Really helps them last longer and reduce warping. Here’s her video: https://youtu.be/xQUuukJW5xQ

I also keep two pads set aside for embossing (no cuts in them).

  3. I love these gorgeous layers, Mary! You can do so much with a little white space – that’s one of your amazing gifts.

    • Happy to help, Linda! You can find links to shop for the magnet cards as well as the sleeves at the end of this post: https://stampinpretty.com/2019/01/new-wow-video-mini-ghirardelli-treat-holders.html

    • I’ll have a video demonstration on the envelope and die for you tomorrow, Lorraine.

      • I saw the video on YouTube. It was awesome. Thank you. Unless you have another video. ? In which case, I’ll be looking for it. ❣️

        • Thanks, Lorraine. I have over 300 YouTube videos. You can watch them here: https://stampinpretty.com/my-videos

  4. What a fabulous looking card Mary. LOVE all the white space you left on this card.
    PS…..LOVING the rain this morning!!!!!!
