It’s Day 3 of my Broadway Birthday Bonanza featuring the Stampin’ Up! Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper! So many creative possibilities for this paper even when you use the same sketch (as I have for the past 3 days)! I love the “you deserve it” sentiment with those chic and modern cakes on today’s card! You can see Day 1 here and Day 2 here.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:
Start with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base of Lovely Lipstick card stock. Use the Stampin’ Trimmer. It cuts and scores!
Cut a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock. Adhere the layer to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Wrap a piece of Black 1/2″ Satin Ribbon around a 3 3/4 x 5 piece of Whisper White card stock. Secure the ribbon with a bow. Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Cut a piece (cake pattern) of Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series to 2 7/8 x 3. Adhere to a 3 x 3 1/4 mat of Basic Black card stock with Snail Adhesive. Note: Adhere offset so that the right side and mat are even. Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using the Stamparatus stamp positioning tool, stamp the “You Deserve It” sentiment (Broadway Birthday stamp set) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a 2 1/2 x 1/2 piece of Whisper White card stock. Flag the end with the Tailored Tag Punch. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add three Melon Mambo Glitter Enamel Dots for a pop of bling and personality.
Stamp the candle (Lemon Lime Twist) and flame (Lovely Lipstick) onto a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock. Crop with the coordinating dies (Broadway Lights) using the Big Shot & Magnetic Platform. Adhere to a piece of 4 x 5 1/4 Whisper White card stock (adhered to the inside of the card) with Snail Adhesive. Bundle and Save! Purchase the Broadway Birthday Photopolymer stamp set and Broadway Lights Framelits Dies together as a bundle and save 10%!
Use a Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, envelope liner die (Beautiful Layers Thinlits Dies) and the modern Lovely Lipstick pattern from Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper to create a liner. Adhere to the inside of a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Medium Envelope.

Thank you, Louise (from Australia). Your feedback means so much!
What I really, really like about this card–firstly how fresh and cute it looks. Secondly that the front’s color came only from DSP. I like tips on how to use DSP more.
I hear you . . . I often end up with extra designer series paper. It makes such a statement and is perfect for mass producing cards to have on hand. It’s also fabulous for adding an envelope liner!
I’m loving these pretty, fun cards from the same DSP collection. Have a great day!
Love hearing this. I really think the paper is the bomb for birthdays!
This card is a winner too! The envelope liners add such a festive touch.
Thanks, Cindy. Your feedback means so much. These cards are going in the mail for my November birthdays tomorrow!
Another winner. The colors are exciting, happy and full of energy. That makes this a wonderful card for any age group. On another note I am glad that your posts contain such nice photos so that I can really see the content. I don’t know if you used the hat die on the candle or used the hat paper; however, I still know that you are a genius! TFS
Thanks so much, Juanita. Photos can be a challenge, especially the lighting at different times of the day. Glad you enjoy them. The interior candle was stamped and then cropped with the flame and candle dies.
What a HAPPY and FUN card. LOVE the single candle on the inside.
That may be my favorite part, Kadie. I think it looks like a clean and simple card all on it’s own!
MsMary, your rocking them, love the colors and that candle inside, rock it to the moon , ?
Tfs , Frenchie ♥️♥️♥️
Thanks, Frenchie. Love the “rock it” to the moon!
Super cute… I absolutely adore the simplicity of the card and the colors! Can’t wait to re-create it myself as it is just a wonderful birthday card……thanks for your inspiration…
And you are the queen of simplicity and great taste, Susan!
“Thank you” Mary for showing us more than one (1) card per stamp set!
I’m glad it was helpful to see more possibilities for the stamps, dies and paper, Margaret.
