On yesterday’s post here, I introduced the Buffalo Check background stamp. It will be available tomorrow (Sept. 5), when the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog begins and definitely will make the list of My Favorite Things! Make gingham in any Stampin’ Up! color combination you want!
In today’s WOW! video, I share tips on using the Stamparatus and background stamps (like the Buffalo Check) for better coverage. Large stamps require a more ink and a little more pressure and effort for best results. The Stamparatus is forgiving in that you can press firmly as well as precisely re-stamp any areas that need more ink.
Here’s my video (above) with benefits and tips for using the Stamparatus stamp positioning tool.
IT’S ALMOST HERE! The Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog begin’s TOMORROW, Sept. 5, at 3 a.m. Mountain.

Thanks for the video, great tips to use. I am wondering about the Stampin Storage magnetic insert. Is it the same thickness as the magnetic sheets that hold the dies? It looks like such a great tool for making the amazing Stamparatus even better.
i’m pretty sure it’s the same thickness, Suzanne. the nice part it that the magnet pad is sized to the stamparatus. quick and easy!
Fabulous tips and awesome videos Mary, as always, they are super helpful and informative and we really enjoy our crafting time even more.
Thank you for sharing.
XO
That’s what I love to hear, Maria!
I have ordered the buffalo check background stamp and can’t wait to “mass produce” my New Year’s Eve cards with my Stamparatus. Like you, I don’t even think about using my clear blocks for stamping anymore. I am so happy my recycle bin is never full after a week of card making.
Bingo, Cindy. I use much less card stock because stamping and good results are a breeze! No more “do overs!”
This is a very informative video. Your idea for the magnetic sheet under the paper is priceless. Your thoughtfulness always shines through in everything you do…using the dark ink made it so easy for us to see what you were doing. Though I don’t have the Stamparatus your info is good for whatever system a person may have. TFS.
Thanks for your feedback, Juanita. I love to share anything that makes our craft easier and more fun!
Thanks Mary for all your tips on using the Stamperatus. I totally agree…..It’s one of those MUST HAVE tools. Has seriously made my stamping routine ROCK to perfection.
I just used it to create a Pool Party and Real Red pattern – so pretty!
