Today’s simple Saturday card highlights many new products from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog. However, I have used them in a “non-holiday” way. The Winter Woods stamp set, In the Woods Framelits, Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets and Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper (envelope flap) will be available to purchase Sept. 5 when the holiday catalog begins.

SAVE 10% when you purchase the Winter Woods stamp set and In the Woods Framelits as a coordinating bundle. Available Sept. 5.
This card is a perfect way to brighten my mom’s day. She lives at an assisted living facility in Wisconsin and she treasures receiving my handcrafted cards!
STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:
Create a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base using Stampin’ Up! Thick Whisper White card stock. I used the Stampin’ Trimmer because it both cuts and scores.
Stamp the birch trees (Winter Woods stamp set) as a background in Gray Granite ink on Whisper White Card stock. I used my Stamparatus stamp positioning tool to help keep them even.
The birch tree stamp is placed against the top rail of the Stamparatus. I cleaned the stamp and moved it to the right each time, lining up the left edge of the stamp slightly over the previously stamped trees. Learn more about the Stamparatus with my video demonstration here.
Trim the birch tree layer to 4 1/2 x 3 1/4. Adhere it with Snail Adhesive to a 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 piece of Gray Granite card stock. I love Gray Granite (part of the Stampin’ Up! Color Revamp) as a modern and warm neutral.
Using the stem die from In the Woods Framelits, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and Embossing Mats, crop AND emboss (don’t miss the embossed veining) three stems using Gray Granite card stock. Here’s a must-see video demonstration from Stampin’ Up! on how to use the Embossing Mats and create texture through the “decorative ejection holes” on dies. This resulted in the veining.
I adhered the three stems from above to a 3 1/2 x 2 1/4 piece of vellum. I can’t seem to get enough vellum these days. Such a soft and pretty effect. Agree? The vellum layer was adhered to the birch layer using Stampin’ Dimensionals. TIP: Because vellum is sheer, be sure to place Stampin’ Dimensionals in places where they will be hidden below the circle and leaves.
Wrap stems/birch layer twice with Linen Thread and tie in a bow. Adhere to the card base as shown using Snail Adhesive.
Using the Stamparatus (I rarely use my clear blocks any more), stamp the sentiment from Love What You Do stamp set in Gray Granite ink on Whisper White card stock. Crop the sentiment with the second largest circle die from Stitched Shapes Framelits, the Big Shot and Magnetic Platform (to help keep the sentiment in place).
Add three self-adhesive frosted droplets from Stampin’ Up! Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets to sentiment. Adhere sentiment as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the final polish, add a Gray Granite pattern from Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper as an envelope liner inside a Whisper White Medium Envelope. The patterns of this specialty designer series paper have a gorgeous, shimmer white base. I used the envelope liner die from Beautiful Layers Thinlits and the Big Shot to create the liner.

You make elegant cards. Ilike that! Simple, and very tasteful!
Thanks, Dee. I try to create cards that are easy and have plenty of WOW!
I just loved this card. It’s beautiful!!
That makes me smile. Thanks, Alex!
The muted colors of this card are quietly elegant. I love it!
Thanks, Robbye. I like “quietly elegant!” Hugs, M
This card couldn’t be more gorgeous, Mary! I love all this white and Gray Granite! A classy classic!
I appreciate your sweetness, BK. I love that term “classy classic!”
Such a beautiful, elegant card. Woo hoo!
Thanks, Florence. I’m happy with how it turned out with the neutral palette of Gray Granite.
I absolutely love getting your email every morning to see what new idea you’ve posted!! I’ve gotten so many new ideas and inspirations!! Thank you so much!!
And I’m so happy to hear that, Debbie. I love paper crafting and sharing as much as when I started over a decade ago!
SUPER card! Could you tell me why you use the thick cardstock for your card base? I can’t wait to get this bundle. I love the linen thread on the card , too. Thanks
Love your question, Jeannine. Our standard Whisper White and Very Vanilla card stock are very “luxe” in feel but lighter weight than our other card stock. The “thick” versions of Whisper White and Very Vanilla are more substantial for a card base.
OMG, my initial order was nothing compared to what you have shown. It’s so nice to see the paper in a larger size. That tree die card is so so beautiful, Mary! Thanks for sharing! (And enabling!)
I kept thinking I was being conservative with my order but it ended up being so many great, coordinating products! A good portion of this was part of the gifts Stampin’ Up! shared on the cruise!
Beautiful! I am very excited about the new products that you have shown.
I find new catalog time always exciting these these products are fabulous. Something for everyone, Carole!
Stunning card and envelope Mary! I’m going to have to start using my Gray Granite!
Yes . . . today is Get out the Gray Granite Day, Linda!
You totally rock this bundle my friend. It’s on my MUST HAVE list. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Kadie. I still have plenty to try/play with. I feel like I have just begun!
Somehow “WOW!!” feels inadequate. All of the elements blend to create a showstopper that will no doubt be cherished by your mom. Loved the product video.
Thanks so much, Cindy. I think she will enjoy it. She LOVES mail, especially handcrafted cards.
Love the soft colors and all the different elements included in this card. I know your mother will love it. Thanks for the video of your favorites in the Christmas catalog. There’s so much to take in that it’s good to see them showcased. Enjoy your day!
It was a really fun card to make and could so easily be a WOW! in other colors, HJ.
Oh MsMary, your working those leaves so nicely, love that soft look , your just good at what you do always , you have us …. stop look and figure out how and what you did for that look , no passing over it , lol ,always that question how dis she do that ?lol
Thanks for sharing with us your beautiful work ?
Hugs Frenchie ♥️

Mary, this is absolutely gorgeous. The soft monotone color scheme works beautifully to highlight all the special touches on this card.
This is a really versatile bundle. Thanks for your very inspirational ideas on how to use it!
Thanks, Linda. I’m definitely a fan of this bundle. I hope to work with the tall tree die cut in the near future!
Oh WOW!! Mary!!! This bundle is just amazing, I’m in love with the images on the stamp set and the dies can also stand on their own to create the most gorgeous and elegant cards, not only for Christmas but for Thanksgiving and even some truly awesome masculine cards.
Your card is truly amazing, love the soft color palette, the vellum looks so beautiful behind your sentiment and perfectly die cut leaves.
Can’t wait to get my hands of this bundle, thank you for sharing.
XO
Maria.
Thanks, Maria, for your beautiful comment. I’m SO into vellum for that “soft focus” it adds to a handcrafted card.
