One of the members of my Stampin’ Pretty Pals Community suggested I share a video on how to heat emboss in Stampin’ Up! Colors using the Stamparatus, stamp positioning tool. Thank you, Pam Dotts! I tried it today and it worked so well I decided to incorporate it into the video I already had planned to demonstrate yesterday’s Ghirardelli treat holders. See yesterday’s post here.
Glossy and cool. Here’s a close up (above) of the Dapper Denim Hearts and “love” sentiment heat embossed using the Stamparatus. The Dapper Denim images were re-stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed. Step by step details in the video along with oodles of paper crafting tips.
I love hearing from you! Please leave me your questions or comments about the project for today.
The Stamparatus is a stamp positioning tool that is getting a lot of excitement and attention for it’s unique features that make stamping easier, more precise and fun! It will be available in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog June, 2018. Those of you who were able to reserve one by Dec. 30, 2017 should receive yours in the next few months. Stampin’ Up! will contact you when the inventory arrives. Learn more about the Stamparatus (including helpful videos) here.
I love the Dapper Denim look for the Ghirardelli treat holder. The Dapper Denim 3/8″ Striped Grosgrain Ribbon pulls it all together (literally).
To show the fabulous coverage you can get with the Stamparatus, I re-stamped yesterday’s heart from Heart Happiness (bottom left) for a more solid effect (stamped it twice and perfect placement each time).
These Ghirardelli treat holders are a sweet Valentine celebration. Tuck one in a lunch, below a pillow, on a co-worker’s desk or in the mail!

I didn’t know that embossing powder goes bad!
Thank You for sharing! Really liked your tip for using the stamparatus and embossing.
A great masculine Valentine’s Day card, yet not too fussy for a masculine card.
Thanks, Fay. It think it’s simple with a glossy wow!
Such a great idea – I KNEW once I got mine out of the box that you would have something that would make me excited to use it! Thank you for all the other tips too in the video – I look forward to passing those on to my customers!
Fabulous to hear, Stacy!
Great video Mary! In it you used a cloth to clean your stamps. Would you tell me where I can get one? I’ve seen them used in other videos as well. They look great!
Here you go, Donna: Amazon Absorber Cleaning Cloth. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000AY3X0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thanks you, Mary!!
My pleasure!
This little tip may help you to not accidentally have your magnets connect when you are just using one: put the second one under the platform. Also, a little wrap of Washi tape will make a “handle” for your magnets so if they should smack together you can more easily slide them apart.
Nice tips, Carol. I may need to try the washi. I have gotten better about consciously keeping the two magnets apart.
What a GREAT video! Thanks for all of your fun tips and tricks! I’m a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator as well, and I can’t wait to share these tips with my customers.
Your projects are always so elegant and professional, as well as fun.
Thank you!
Love your feedback and wish you the best luck sharing with your customers, Andi!
That was so cute. I haven’t embossed very much lately. Thanks for the inspiration.
Being able to emboss in the Stampin’ Up! colors so easily gives new reason to get out the clear embossing powder and a Stamparatus!
Wow! Love the demonstration and idea of color embossing! I am a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator as well and can’t wait to share this with my workshop gals.
I won’t get my Stamparatus until March but can try this before that. Thanks so much.
I can’t wait until you get the Stamparatus in your hands (as well as my customers’ hands who reserved). It’s really a whole new world of stamping, Kay!
Tried to watch Stamparatus 2 video but wouldn’t start, opened up just stayed there?? Went to YouTube to watch not there either?
Help!!
Might be a wireless or internet hiccup. It’s working. Please try again in a bit, Linda.
I love this tip for the Stamparatus!!! ❤️ Should get mine late March/early April. What is the name of the container which holds your cleaning cloth?
Hi Pam. How exciting that you will get yours before the June 1 annual catalog launch. Here’s a list of the products I mentioned in the video.
Shop for Stampin’ Up! Uninked Stampin’ Spots to use with ink refills. The smaller size makes inking stamps using the Stamparatus easier. https://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=141822&dbwsdemoid=2026178
Amazon Absorber Cleaning Cloth. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000AY3X0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Salt Cellar for storing the Absorber Cleaning Cloth and keeping it moist longer. So handy: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016MNPA2G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thanks Mary! I really appreciate the Amazon links for the cloth and salt cellar products. ?
I love being able to emboss in any color using this technique. I highly recommend Creative Corners as an added tool to the stamparartus.
Mary, what do you use to keep your trimmer arm so clean?
Thanks for the suggestion, Pam. Honestly, I use this trimmer daily and might give it a swipe now and then. That’s it!
Wonderful video!! Great tips! Glad you are showing the Stamparatus.
Absolutely plan to use and show the Stamparatus. Some of the peeps who reserved one will start getting them in February. I’m working out the learning curve for the best experience ever! The Stamparatus is becoming part of my regular stamping routine, Wanda!
I love this! What a great idea, can’t wait to get my Stamparatus! In the mean time I am off to the store for the chocolate to make these oh so treat holders. Love the heat embossing.
I’m seeing so many more possibilities with the Stamparatus. I still reach for my clear blocks but am realizing that the Stamparatus has replaced them PLUS many more benefits! Thanks, Lori.
You ROCKED this video out with your instructions and tips! THANKS
Thanks, Kadie. I was so excited to share how easy it is to emboss in ALL the SU colors! Really opens the door for techniques and shine!
Great video and clear instructions on this fantastic embossing technique! Thanks!!
Thanks, Stella. I tried to layer oodles of tips in with how to emboss – hoping it’s helpful for new as well as seasoned stampers!
