  1. It has to be “It’s a Wonderful Life” first, but I do have my must watch list. Mostly all old movies, White Christmas, Christmas in Connecticut, Meet Me in St. Lois & A Christmas Carol. But you just have to have some silly ones too like A Christmas Story & Christmas Vacation.

With such a great recommendation, I’ll have to put it on my list. 🙂 I love White Christmas and It’s a Wonderful Life, the Christmas scenes in Meet Me in St. Louis… And the season starts with Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer with Burl Ives. Still love that one!

  7. Miracle on 34th Street (old and newer versions) is probably my favorite, but I also love Loretta Young’s Come to the Stable from 1949. I also have a very special place in my heart for what I believe is a Rankin & Bass stop-animation movie that makes me cry every year – and I have been watching it for a very long time – Nestor, the Long-Earred Christmas Donkey. I actually bought it last year so I no longer had to hope that some station would air it. Thank you for an opportunity to win this beautiful stamp. I was not impressed until I saw various stamped versions – yours included – to find that it is truly magnificent. I love the color you used. Merry Christmas.

And finally, I have added “Love Actually” to my list of favs. I’m a sucker for Hugh Grant.

  138. Mary, that is really a difficult question – there are so many to choose from. I love it’s a Wonderful Life. I really love the story that is told in Home Alone. Here are two families getting together to celebrate the holidays together, and the real results that happen when Kevin is punished for not being good. In today’s world it is so important to have family. Merry Christmas,

  142. My favorite Christmas movie is White Christmas and always has been. To see what our honorable service men were faced with and the joy that the songs and entertainers brought to them is wonderful. To see how “the actors” brought honor to one of their own is also wonderful. While the movie is definitely about the Christmas time of the year it is also about love and giving honor where honor is due. Just call me an old softie.
