I love the rich look of the copper embossed background (Tree Rings stamp set) on Night of Navy card stock for today’s simple thank you card.
I love hearing from you! Please leave me your questions or comments about the project for today.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- Stampin’ Up! note cards and envelopes are perfect for a quick thank you card. You get 20 cards and 20 envelopes for $6. Such a deal and they are big enough to go in the U.S. mail!
- I used the Leaf Punch to add a soft copper (Copper Foil Sheets) and Night of Navy stem.
- A Year of Cheer Embellishment in gold adds more “metal” and organic style and texture to the design. Glue Dots keep the embellishment securely in place.
- The sentiment is from Colorful Seasons Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flagged end was created with the Banner Triple Punch – a must have paper crafting tool!

Hi Mary. I love your creativity and enjoy this blog so much. Do you ever give classes? Thanks, Cammie
Hi Cammie: Thank you so much for your kind words. I love doing classes but my on-line business and Pals community require a full-time commitment. I simply don’t have time for live events. However, I consider my blog posts throughout the week mini-classes that everyone can learn from conveniently from their phone or computer! M
What an elegant and classy card I love the combination of colors its looks rich and colorful and if I would get That in the mail it would madeso happy and I would feel like a queen.
Big smiles. Thank you, Maria!
Nothing simple about this elegant card. What a punch factor with that copper embossed stamp as the background:)
The copper embossing looks rich on Island Indigo and Rich Razzleberry, too!
Sooo pretty Mary!
I’m glad you enjoyed the card, Beth.
So, so classy, I did something similar on black cardstock, with gold embossing folder, and it is just so snazzy!! Hope they keep this background stamp in for another round! Fabulous for masculine cards too!!! Jennifer, SU Silver demo, Calgary, Alberta, Canada
PS. Congrats on all of the accomplishments that were announced at onstage!
Black would be lovely as well. Thanks for sharing, Jennifer.
I absolutely love the play between the copper and Night of Navy. It’s abs stunning.
Love your daily comments, Robbye, and kindness! Thanks!
Every single element on this card makes me smile. I love the background with the tree rings and the elements that pop out from behind the banner. This card is absolute perfection, Mary! <3
Thanks, BK. I do my best to make you smile!
The tree rings look so beautiful embossed in the copper. WOW
Thanks so much. I have been itching to ink up the stamp. Love the crisp results!
Mary, this is gorgeous. Can you explain how you used the tree rings stamp? Is it copper embossing powder? I’ve been away from Stampin Up for too long.
Thank you!
Happy to help, Kathryn. I stamped the Tree Rings stamp on Night of Navy card stock. The sprinkled Copper Embossing Powder and tapped off any excess. The heat tool is applied and brings out definition and shine!
Love the copper embossed tree rings!
Thanks, Linda. I think they make a modern and chic background!
WOW! This is RICH looking. Wow Wow Wow!
I appreciate your comment, Celia. I think it looks even richer in real life!
Thanks, Diane. I absolutely adore the look of the copper embossing. So rich, easy to create and WOW! factor!
