3 x 3 Mini Holiday Cards Part 1

Learn how to create a simple 3 x 3 holiday card using Stampin' Up! Hug a Mug - Mary Fish StampinUp!

On yesterday’s post (here) I shared a Mini Pizza Box decorated with a holiday belly band I created with the Stampin’ Up! Quilt Builder Framelits Dies.

Today I share two of the four 3 x 3 cards I created to fit perfectly inside along with 3 x 3 Whisper White Envelopes.  This box and set of cards is one of my favorite gifts to give a friend or host as a “thank you.”   Many of the elements used are from Brian King and Pam Morris’s World Card Making Day event in October.  I couldn’t attend but they sent me many of the pieces to their projects and I added my own spin.  Thanks, guys!

I love hearing from you!  Please leave me your questions or comments about the project for today.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • I love the little gift on the 3 x 3 holiday card at the top of this post and below.  I used Hug in a Mug for the “enjoy” sentiment and cropped the square and bow with Stampin’ Up! Christmas Staircase Thinlits Dies.

  • Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies are my “go to” for shapes (like the Real Red circle) with that little somethin’ somethin’.

  • For my second card (above), I used Hug a Mug stamp set again and layered the sentiment and 2-step “mug” stamps in Lemon Lime Twist.

  2. I love the 3×3 cards, especially at Christmas. It gives you a chance to write a little something to the giftee that wouldn’t fit on a tag! These are real winners!

  3. Love how you decorated this box and the colors!! May I ask how you made the flower? Great style!

    • Thanks, Carol. The base and middle layer are the solid flower from Quilt Builder Thinlits Dies. The top is 6 petals assembled to adhesive in the middle. The petals were made with the die (also Quilt Builder) that crops petals or an interior of the first flower (to create negative space). Hope this helps.
