All You Need Is Love . . .

How to create simple love cards using Stampin' Up! Musical Season

Today’s Simple Saturday love card was inspired by the gorgeous card below by Michelle Gleason, a member of my Stampin’ Pretty Pals Virtual Community.  CASE-ing a card (Copy And Share with Everyone) makes card making a snap!

I love hearing from you!  Please leave me your questions or comments about the project for today.

I redesigned Michelle’s card with Island Indigo as my key color (and Whisper White, of course) and used Musical Season Stamp Set and Musical Instruments Framelits Dies for my focal point.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • All you need is “love.”  You can isolate peace, joy and love from the sentiment.  You could use a Stampin’ Write Marker and color directly to the rubber of the word of your choice or just hide part of it below the instruments.  My lute hides the word “joy” and the balance was cropped with one of the Layering Squares Framelits Dies.

  • Essential essentials!  For everyday framing of images and sentiments, Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies are a favorite. The little “stitches” are a classy accent.
  • Just one!  I used the large single stem from Flourish Thinlits Dies and split it so that it would show above and below the squares.

  • Pearl Basic Jewels are the perfect touch for dressing up the stems.

  1. Your cards are always so beautiful. You have such an eye for design. I didn’t even notice this stamp set and now think I need it. Just beautiful Mary. My brain doesn’t work that way either so I copy you (and Brian King) ALL the time. Thank you for sharing.

    • Part of the fun of sharing each day is to show different (and simple) ways paper, stamps and ink can be used! Thanks, Susan, for finding inspiration in what I do (and Mr. Brian King)!

  2. This reminds me of a Greek Bouzouki (traditional Greek stringed instrument) and with blue white being very traditional colors. It would make a nice Greek wedding card. Beautiful!
