We have gotten older and are unable to serve our community the last couple of years. I love this stampin up set. I hope you pick me as it would continually remind me of the good time our church has had making our lemon shake ups.

  113. PEACHES, especially beautiful, big, juicy, sweet Utah peaches from Hurricane. You have to eat these over a sink–really, they’re that juicy. Years ago I had a connection with a friend and she would take orders from friends–they’d come in those terrific cardboard crates(which I still have things stored in 25+ years later). When we got the call the semi had arrived, I couldn’t wait to go and pick up my order–eating fresh was terrific, but I also sliced them, added a bit of fruit fresh, and wrapped them in plastic then foil in the pie tin size I used to bake. Then in the midst of winter, pull out the peaches, slide into pie crust, bake, and yummo!!!

  149. PEACHES!! One of the few fruits we still have to wait for the “in season” to purchase in stores. The fuzz. The juiciness. The smell. The taste. We’re getting closer. Can’t hardly wait to eat them raw, cook with them and can a few to last all year. Good luck everyone!!

I wait all Spring for the delectable Rainier Cherries from, of course, Washington state. These little blond beauties with the rosy blush are worth the wait. But Wait, when those are gone, I still have to wait a few more months for delicious Rocky Ford cantaloupes right out of Rocky Ford, Colorado. I’m waiting and dreaming right now!

  159. It’s got to be limes. They are great in iced tea and cold water on a hot day here in Texas. My favorite though is with vodka and tonic on a float in the pool. Now if I just had a pool boy to make them and bring them to me…oh well. Yes limes are definitely my favorite.

  160. Watermelon by a long shot! It’s so versatile… Puree it then freeze for a refreshing alternative to ice cream. Refrigerate ice cube size pieces in a baggie for an instant breakfast ‘fruit’. Make a quick fruit compote mixed with grapes, mandarin orange pieces, strawberries, blueberries, etc. Even rinsed canned peach chunks will work…any fruit that won’t turn brown when exposed to air like an apple.
