The new Stampin’ Up! Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies were the foundation of today’s simple and modern design. They can be a stand alone element or paired with leaves for a trendy, botanical feel. The Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies will be available for purchase June 1, when the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog begins.
Stay organized! I mounted the nine dies in the collection (one sits inside the other on the bottom right) to my magnet cards from Stamp-N-Storage.
All Stampin’ Up! products designated as new in today’s post will be available for purchase June 1. We are getting close! Share a question, comment or which new products are tempting you the most HERE.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- I love this splashy mix of Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach and Emerald Envy. Peekaboo Peach and Emerald Envy are part of the new In Color Collection. See all the new In Colors and my color comparison here.
- For fine dies (like Swirly Scribbles), I recommend using the Stampin’ Up! Precision Base Plate. It gives a clean cut for all those little bits! Here’s a Stampin’ Up! video demonstration with tips on how to use the plate and get the best results.
- My Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Medium Envelope gets a coordinated look on the flap with a polka dot pattern from the 2015-2017 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack. I layered the flap with the paper and trimmed the excess using my Paper Snips. Watch my video demonstration.
- Say it in so many ways! The new Thoughtful Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set has a collection of sentiments for every occasion. Mix, match and play with the possibilities.

How do you attach the swirly scribbles dies to the card? I have tried using tape runners, glue pens, xyron, etc. My problem is that I want to attach it directly onto glitter paper and none of these will stick to the paper. I even tried scoreit tape, but the tape shows through the card and makes it sticky. I have also tried the stick it tape, but I find that very difficult to use. Thank you.
Glitter paper is tough to get things to stick to. Here are my recommendations:
Have you tried the Multipurpose Liquid Glue? This would be the best option that Stampin’ Up! carries.
My other recommendation would be to crop the swirly scribbles die from the glitter paper so that you are not trying to stick it to the glitter, but to the card stock you are adhering the glitter paper to. If you want it to pop up from the glitter paper, you could snip Stampin’ Dimensionals to size and adhere with those.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.
Colors are great, Mary! I have the dies on my list – whoopee! Love the leaves addition, also. Thanks!
Thanks for great inspiration! I love the simple design of your card and will be making this very soon!
These are beautiful, Mary! Love the colors and dies!
There’s a definite improvement, Amy, with the Precision Plate (detailed dies only). However, I use wax paper the first time I use a die (even with the Precision Plate) just to make it a little “slicker.” Might not be necessary but that’s what I do.
Thanks, Mary! Sounds great 🙂
I love the scribbles! I’m curious about the precision plate…I watched the video link that you shared and it looks good! Right now I’m using wax paper and bounce sheets….maybe I wouldn’t have to do that anymore with the precision plate? Thanks Mary for the help and the inspiration 🙂
Oh MsMary, I love it , soo you!! I had thaught I didn’t need that set, oh yes I dooo,

What a cute card, Mary! Swirly Scribbles just made it onto my June order!
Don’t know which is becoming my FAVORITE new product……
The stamp set is SO AMAZING (especially when used with the coordinating punch)……….but this Swirly Scribbles die set is SO MUCH FUN! Thanks for sharing your darling card with us Mary.
Thanks, Kadie! I think the the “scribbles” will be a big hit!
I think the Peekaboo Peach card base softens the look and adds colorful dimension!
Hi Mary, Very neat, clean and crisp. I love it. I would never have put PP and WW together, looks great.
