This Lovely Amazing You thank you card is simple, feminine and flirty.

Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge PPA296

I used this week’s Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge (PPA296) by Susan Itell as my inspiration.  See what rest of the Pals Paper Arts Design Team has created with this fun sketch and play along here.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • As you know, I go bananas over a pretty font.  This made me an instant fan of the Lovely Amazing You Photopolymer stamp set.

  1. I love this design, Mary. Thanks for posting it. I am wondering what the measurements were for the two main rectangle pieces and the black piece? Can you provide if possible?

    Thanks so much,
    Shirley

    • Thanks, Shirley. Unfortunately, I no longer have the card to check the measurements. The overall size is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. The the larger black layer appears to be about 1/2 that width (possibly 2 1/8″ to 2 1/4″ wide). I think that should get you started with proportion . . . start a little large and “whittle” a little at a time until the balance is right.

  5. I never tire of your samples/ideas. I am a Canadian demonstrator (hobbyist) for many years and have followed you for as long as I can remember. Thank you for all you share. If I did not live in Canada and was not a demonstrator you would be first on my list to order product. You are by far my number one favorite demonstrator.

  6. I LOVE this card. I’m going to get out my brayer (which I forget to use!) and the Go Wild DSP and try to get creative. I’ve always liked blushing bride. Thanks, Mary, for the great idea.

  7. Mary, I love all the elements of this card. Thanks so much for the tip on brayering the Go Wild DSP to completely change it to a very feminine card in pink. I love your take on Susan’s sketch. Have a great Thursday.

  8. Really love this card and the trick with the brayer. You have made the brayer a great tool. I remember a card you did once where you inked up an embossing folder. Thanks for the new creative was to use our stash.
