Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for February 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month we are CASE-ing a project shown in a current Stampin’ Up! catalog. After all, with the Annual, Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs available right now, there is much inspiration to choose from. We hope you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the line-up on the Pals Blog Hop List shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.
I chose to CASE (Copy And Share with Everyone) a darling balloon card from p. 8 of the Stampin’ Up! 2015 – 2016 Annual Catalog (see the catalog version below). However, I did a switcheroo by using it as a front for a Mini Treat Bag.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- My Mini Treat Bag measures approximately 3 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ (open on top – thin, like an envelope). They are wonderful for gift cards, personal messages, flat candy bars and more. Look at all the possibilities of shapes you can create with Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies!
- Stampin’ Up! Tear & Tape Adhesive is an essential in keeping your 3-D projects like the Mini Treat Bag together.
- Remembering Your Birthday stamp set knows just what to say to celebrate the occasion. I used the “string” image from Balloon Celebration stamp set because I didn’t trust myself to free hand it!
- Stampin’ Up! Envelope Paper isn’t just for creating envelopes. It’s the perfect weight for this Mini Treat Bag.
- The Balloon Framelits Dies are “just right,” Goldilocks, with these sentiments. The Magnetic Platform helps you keep the stamped sentiments in place on their journey through the Big Shot.

Mary, that’s so funny because I took a mini treat bag that had been on the front page of SU Website and CASE’d it into card! I’ll post it on my facebook page;

Fantastic! Love the “Belly Band” around the envelope paper. That and the balloons invoke an image of a bag of popcorn at the circus! How about a couple of tickets to a fun event, like the circus, tucked inside?
These kind comments make me smile! Thank you!
This is so perfect! I love the way you translated it to a card. I’ll be looking at my catalog with a new eye now!
Such a cute adaptation, Mary. I love making these little treat bags – I’ll have to CASE your CASE!
So cute! I love that you turned a card into an adorable 3D project!
Another nudge toward those awesome balloon framelits!! 😉
Great treat bag! I must admit I am a little jealous of your thread tying abilities. It really adds the most darling touch.
Oh MsMary, I love your balloons, and those colors , love it !!!! Love how you tie that little pice of string , cute cute !!!!! ❤️
Tfs

I love your spin on the catalog card. What a great idea to use the bag. Great colors!
Mary, this is adorable. The color combination is smashing, too… one of my favorites!
Great question Mary! I am always desperate for ideas of what to put in all these containers we make. I am on a no sugar kick. For this one how about a card with a special picture and a note saying why it is special. And a little pull ribbon on top.
A photo! That’s brilliant, Ramsey!
Thank you for your sweet comments. So glad you like the mini treat bag version of my CASE!
Great stepped up CASE project! I love using the envelope paper for cards as well – so far I haven’t found anything it can’t do. Love your choice of colors and creative touches!
Love the mini treat bag die. So many cute ways to use it.
A perfect example of how to take a project from a card to a stepped up mini treat bag! CUTE! And the mini treat bag holds a gift card or a check so well… who wouldn’t want a little funding for more Stampin’ Up! supplies??? 🙂
Mary the washi tape really steps this up from the card to cased. Love it!
