The perfect touch of texture from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely Lace Textured Impressions Embossing Folder takes this simple card to WOW!
This week’s Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge (PPA287) from the talented mind of PPA designer, Katy McGloin, was my color inspiration. I love how rich this palette looks with Very Vanilla. Discover what the rest of the PPA Design team has created for this challenge and play along here!
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- The “thank you” sentiment is from Sale-A-Bration’s What I Love photopolymer stamp set. Earn it FREE with a $50 product order. Learn how . . .
- The Full Heart Punch allowed me to frame the sentiment in Lost Lagoon. The heart layer is propped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Old Olive Baker’s Twine adds a flirty touch to the coordinating button (Brights Designer Buttons).
- Glue Dots keep buttons neatly in place.
- The crowning finish is adding the Lovely Lace embossing to the envelope flap for a uber pretty presentation.

Here are some helpful embossing tips from Stampin’ Up! Embossing Folders should be fed through the Big Shot with the open end first. This will prevent the hinges from cracking. As with some other dies, folders, etc., you may need to use a shim under the folder; in the center; for added height. The other thing you can try is turning the folder over from time to time to see if that helps.
Hello Mary: I’m so late with this comment, I’ve been busy with some family stuff and my blog. But I didn’t want to pass the chance to tell you that your card is so sweet, I love that embossing folder, it really adds so much texture to your design but, the way you framed your sentiment is really beautiful, your eye goes immediately to it.
Thank you for sharing the video on how to embellish the envelopes, I wish our bills came out in pretty envelopes, that way it wouldn’t be so awful to get them in the mail box.
I always appreciate your comments, Maria! Love the idea to embossed he envelope flaps for bills . . . so much more welcoming, yes?
Mary, you never cease to amaze me in your designs. I love the way you put these colors together. Marvy!

Such lovely simplicity. Love the embossed envelope flap and the “thank you” inside the heart.
Love the embossed background and envelope. I also love the twine on the button. This is such a pretty card!
The lovely lace embossing is the queen of show but I also really like the heart layer that is popped up over the sentiment…. sweet!
Love the embossed texture on this quick, sweet card Mary, and the envelop with the embossed flap puts it over the top.
This is such a bright and happy kind of card Mary……..And embossing the envelope flap just brings out the smile in me.
