As I promised in yesterday’s post, here’s a new 1 Minute to WOW! Video tutorial sharing how to tie Baker’s Twine (or ribbon) to a tag.  It’s so easy and always looks neat and tidy.  I also share some tips for the tags and more along the way.Stampin Up Holiday Gift Tags Your Presents by Mary Fish Pinterest

  1. Hi Carol: There’s no set rule and they aren’t all exactly the same. The white tag started as approx. 2″ wide (just a smidge under) by 4″ long and is cropped at the top with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. The back tags started at approx. 2″ x 4 3/4″ and were cropped on both ends (Scalloped Tag Topper Punch on top and Banner Triple Punch on the bottom). You lose about 1/4″ in length from where you start when using both those punches.

  2. You mentioned the widths of each tag piece as TWO inches; but,
what about the length of each piece? I’d like to know that.
    Thanks………

  3. Thanks Mary. Did know the technique but took note and wrote down “insert twine front to back” as I always get it mixed up and have to re-do it. The really neat idea I never thought of was making a cut in the Baker’s Twine card to catch the end of twine in. Great way to keep it neat. Being of Senior Citizen age, I should have remembered that from long ago. Thanks for the “reminder.” 🙂

  5. I just learned how to tie a tag this way at World Cardmaking Day in Atlanta last October. Everyone appeared to be familiar with it but ME! That’s why I thought I would share it, hoping others might benefit, too.
