I have another Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog sneak peek for you highlighted on today’s framed Bird Builder Punch note card! See the video sneak peek and reveal of my Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration product preorder here!
The Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration begin Jan. 5, 2016.
I used these classy colors (they work for holiday and beyond) from this week’s Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge (PPA279). See more ideas with these colors by the Pals Paper Arts Team and take a creative leap by playing along here!
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- Sneak Peek! I’m sharing two images from Birthday Blooms stamp set, available when the Stampin’ Up Occasions Catalog begins Jan. 5.
- I created the gold frame (approx. 1 3/4″ x 2 3/8″) using two of the Tags & Labels Framelits Dies and Gold Foil Sheets. The frame is popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The bird, wing and stem were created with the Stampin’ Up! Bird Builder Punch. When mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals, they look suspended over the frame.
- For a quick card and message, I love the Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes. The cards are cut (5″ x 3 1/2″), scored and ready to go.
- Sneak Peek! For the perfect polish, I added a polka dot liner using paper from Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper- available Jan. 5 in the Occasions Catalog.
- I used the middle sized die from the Envelope Liners Framelits Dies and my Big Shot to create the coordinating liner for my note card envelope.

I addressed and added stamps to all my Christmas and holiday cards today. I’m very ready to play with new products. Thanks, Mike!
Love how you framed the sweet little bird with the gold frame. So classy.
Thanks, Beth. I love the touch of gold!
Thanks for getting us out of the Christmas mind set. You always come up with such cute and simple designs – the Queen of Clean!
Love your frame bird, Mary!
Thanks, Michelle and Frenchie! I love this note card size. The bird and frame are a good scale!
Oooooooooooooo, MsMary that is soo beautiful, love that birdie, the frame is out of this world!!!
Tfs,
Hugs frenchie
They are stamped. It’s one of the images from the new stamp set Birthday Blooms above. The row of hearts is shaded a bit but it’s at the bottom of the set. Thanks for your kind words!
Great card….are the little hearts punched or stamped?
Thank you, Ginger! I treasure my comments!
Simply elegant Mary! I love the bird peeking out of the rich gold foil frame and the sweet row of hearts.
I love the look of the bird peeking through the frame. Those framelits are on my wish list. Too bad there isn’t a coordinating stamp with the bird builder punch any more (by the way likewise for the owl builder punch)
Good point, Richard, about the punches not having coordinating stamps. I’ll pass this along to Stampin’ Up! It’s likely they didn’t sell as well as the punches and were discontinued. I personally find I use the punched pieces a lot more without the stamped images.
Thanks, Suzanne. We are getting late in the season for promoting holiday ideas so I’m trying to mix it up by sharing current products along with building some excitement for Jan. 5 (new catalog and Sale-A-Bration). I appreciate your feedback!
Thank you for using one of the “older” punches to do your card. I realize that using new product promotes sales but sometimes, when I look at all the Stampin’ up product I have (and it’s a lot) and see all the new stuff, it just gets a little overwhelming trying to “keep up” with it all. Love the simplicity of your designs as well. Keep up the inspiration! Much appreciated 🙂
Thanks, Kadie. Glad you enjoyed the gold frame!
I’m loving every single thing about this card. FAVORITE PART…..the frame you created for your bird to sit in.
