Something to Say Birthday Card

Stampin Up Something to Say Birthday Card Idea By Mary Fish Pinterest

I adore this yummy mix of Calypso Coral and Mint Macaroon for today’s birthday card!  I loaded up the card with discounted treasures from the Stampin’ Up! On-Line Extravaganza Sale (while supplies last – ends Nov. 30), including the Something to Say Stamp Set (Clear-Mount Only–20% off during the sale).

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • Easy peasy!  The little flower punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack coordinates with the flower image from Something to Say stamp set.

  • I absolutely adore the patterns from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack (one of My Favorite Things).  Click here for my easy to view images of all Designer Series Paper from the annual catalog.

  • Save 20% during the sale on Chalk Talk Framelits Dies.  The striped pattern (Mint Macaron and Very Vanilla are luscious together) was cropped with one of the Stampin’ Up! Chalk Talk Framelits Dies.

  • For crisp, black images, I love my Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad.  Stock up!  It’s 40% off during the sale.
  • Save 40% on the Magnetic Platform.  You don’t want to miss out on the savings on this die-cutting essential.  It helps keep dies lined up and in place over paper patterns and stamp images during their trip through the Big Shot.

  • I used the Magnetic Platform to crop both the tag and envelope liner (Envelope Liner Framelits Dies).  Fast Fuse Adhesive keeps it security in place – Fast Fuse Refills are 40% off, too!

  1. Mary, your paper edges always look so clean and crisp. What type of paper cutter do you use?

    • Thank you, Pat. I primarily use the Stampin’ Trimmer by Stampin’ Up! It cuts and scores. Easy to line up and very precise. Occasionally I pull out my guillotine style paper cutter (Stampin’ Up! no longer sells) to cut thin slivers.

  2. love your birthday card and the colors are wonderful! love that magnetic platform – a must have for cutting dies,

    • Agree 100% on the Magnetic Platform, Kelly. I use it for almost everything but dry embossing with folders or when I’m using the Precision Base Plate!

  3. Mary, I love your card! The Chalk Talk Framelits are so great to add a little something extra to any card. I have to agree with you, I love this combination of colors! Well done Mary!
