I love this crisp, white, die cut village for today’s Simple Saturday holiday card. The village was created with the Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies, one of My Favorite Things from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.
Buy it as a bundle with the coordinating Jingle All the Way stamp set (“silent night”) and save 15%!
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- I popped up the die cut portion on Stampin’ Dimensionals to keep the look simple but “3-Delicious!”
- The black and white snowflake pattern with a rich sheen is from Stampin’ Up! Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper. See all the Stampin’ Up! 2015 holiday designer series paper here.
- Button, button. The Real Red snow flake button is just the “pop” this card needs. It’s from Home for Christmas Designer Buttons.
- Click on the Stampin’ Up! video below for a demonstration by Carrie Cudney of both the Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies & Jingle All the Way stamp set. Don’t miss the vellum idea!

Mary, love this card!!! Can we purchase the black/white snowflake card stock separately?
The black/white snowflake designer series paper is part of the Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper Collection. There are many beautiful patterns in this collection. However, you cannot purchase the snowflake pattern independently. All the samples from the collection are show in my post above.
Thanks, Mary.
I love this card! Simple, yet stunning! 🙂
Hi Princess Judy . . . I’m a huge fan of versatility and agree that these dies go beyond the Christmas and winter holiday season. I have seen the village used with a Halloween scene and even a “new home” option. Cute. The trees could be layered for any time of year . . . even a powerful play with color.
These scenery dies are so neat and can go the distance all year round (okay maybe not the one horse open sleigh). So fun!
This is a real WOW card! Really, really stunning!
I really like this card, simple yet delivers a very big impact!!
Absolutely stunning card.
Very nice card. Some the simplicity of it . . . the one cut, the one sentiment one, DSP and of course the red button!
🙂
Thanks for your kind comments! Makes the holiday weekend extra special!
Gorgeous card! Thanks for the link to the video also. You’ve outdone yourself, Mary!
I can’t wait to get my bundle and play. I just love, love this card Mary! This might be our Christmas Card this year 😉 Sorry, but I have to CASE. I will definitely give you credit. It is so simple, elegant and just BEAUTIFUL! And of course, my favorite touch the RED. I love red. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hi Marinés: It’s funny about that red snowflake button . . . I tried gold as well and really liked the wow! of the red. Thanks!
Wow! Gorgeous card. I have to agree the shiny black paper really does create the perfect background for this card.
wow! your card is gorgeous!
Oh I love it Mary!! Thinking it would look so nice on my December calendar!!
That’s a brilliant idea, Linda. What a perfect December option with the popped up village (or sleigh or trees)
What a great idea these edgelits. I love the pop of color the red button provides!!
Love your comments. Makes my day!
What a beautiful card.
I love it when you can use the words simple and wow in the same sentence when you are describing a card! Simply stunning!!!
That’s fabulous . . . I hope I delivered simple and wow!
Such an elegant and perfect card for the upcoming holidays. GREAT WORK my friend!
That shiny black paper makes for a beautiful backdrop to this card. Lovely!
