A Simple Saturday Trip to Wonderland

I have a Simple Saturday holiday card for you today using Stampin’ Up! Wonderland stamp set.   You gotta love the possibilities for those evergreen trees!

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • Stampin’ Up! is “back in black” with the new Basic Black Archival Ink.  I got perfect ink coverage and it dried quickly.  It’s one of My Favorite Things in the holiday catalog.

  • Just a touch of bling.  I added four metallic sequins (Metallics Sequin Assortment) for a little interest.  The Fine-Tip Glue Pen (also on My Favorite Things) works beautifully for for adhering sequins.  Here’s my video demonstration of the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

Stampin Up Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack

  • Winter Wonderland Vellum offers simple patterns that look lovely layered over neutrals like Whisper White and Very Vanilla as well as colors!  Try it over Melon Mambo for some real punch!  See all the new Stampin’ Up! holiday paper here.

  • I lined my Stampin’ Up! Very Vanilla Medium Envelope using the black snowflake pattern from Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack.  Pretty stuff.

  1. Love the Wonderland Stamp set. I’m new to Stampinup. Just saw the set for the first time yesterday, only to find out it is retired. Now trying to find a used set.
    Enjoyed your page here.

    • Thanks for your feedback, Susan. Here are a couple current (available) stamp sets the would make nice alternatives. Winter Woods (#147661) or Rooted in Nature (#146482) – I use Clear-Mount red rubber stamps (they are also available in wood-mount) which you need reusable clear blocks for.

  2. I hear mixed reviews on using the Stazon cleaner on photopolymer/clear stamps so I have steered away. The Black Archival ink cleans up with Stampin’ Mist, too. Thanks for your share, Lyn!

  3. Thanks for your kind comments, friends. One of the things I like about the vellum is that you can layer it over almost anything. It’s perfect for Very Vanilla!

  4. Well Mary, I agree with Kadie that this is drop-dead GORGEOUS! I love the color combination and the stripes but the trees are wonderful!! Then there is the lovely envelope lining! Truly stunning card!

  5. What a beautiful card. I just love the font used for the sentiment. I’m always excited for the first snow fall, but after that, I’m “way” over it.

  6. Mary this is an exquisite card. I like the new black in also. Is there a way to clean it off of Photopolymer stamps better? I think I read something . . . but after I got my ink pad, I couldn’t find it.

    • Hi Nancy: I shared previously that the new Archival Black Ink stains photopolymer. I haven’t found a product or way to clean to avoid that. However, I don’t mind the photopolymer stamps being stained . . . easier to see for placement and easier to find if one goes astray. Hugs, M

  7. Love the Winter Wonderland Vellum paper, it’s so beautiful and the most elegant backdrop for this lovely Evergreens. The little bling of the sequences is the perfect detail.
