It’s time for a new Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge (PPA246) and I LOVE this mix of colors for spring! Check out what the rest of the Pals Paper Arts Resident Artists have dreamed up HERE using these soft and pretty colors. Play along!
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- Quick and crisp coordination. I used the Flower Medallion Punch to crop the sweet flower image from Petal Potpourri, one of my favorite flowers for spring!
- A gold metal button and touch of Whisper White cotton twine (Painted Blooms Cotton Twine) dress up the flower center.
- Washi Tape offers a simple way to add stripes of color and pattern. The Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe patterns are from Sweet Sadie Washi Tape and the bottom Crumb Cake pattern is from Epic Day Washi Tape.
- Three sequins from the 2013-2015 In Colors Sequin Assortment add a touch of sparkle and artistic “randomness.”

Hi Connie: I send cards like these all the time. I recommend adding a piece of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2card stock to layer on top of the front (to cover the bumps). In addition (and just to be safe), I use a 70 cent stamp (required by the post office if theres a rigid object) and add please hand cancel on the front of the card. Honestly, this doesnt guarantee it will be hand canceled but helps. With these tips, I never have a problem with delivery. M

Love the accents and such a pretty card. Do you happen to know if a card like this can be sent through regular mail? I’m always so nervous my cards will get rejected when going through the machines at the post office, so I make them very flat and plain, and don’t feel great about sending them off that way. I know you mail cards all the time, so I would appreciate any advice you have.
What a sweetie, Katy. Thanks. Yes. The washi tape wraps around but I try not to put any tension on it. I adhere it to the wide area first and then wrap the ends around. Not sure if it will help you but maybe?
Such a sweet card, Mary, and a great example of using the washi tape! I love it on the angle framing that bold flower. From what I see, you tucked the washi under the first paper layer, right? My washi tape that is not “tucked” curls on me but that might be the humidity in the Atlanta area. Now to pin this for later CASE… 🙂
