Taking “On Film” Out for a Spin!

I don’t know what took me so long to get the Stampin’ Up! On Film Framelits Dies.  However, they have proven themselves to be a very simple and snappy way to frame a stamped image.

Mojo389Sketch

My design was inspired by this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO389).

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • Chocolate Chip, Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake all fall into the category of “nude” colors that are so on trend right in fashion.

  • I heat embossed the bicycle (Sheltering Tree) first in Whisper White and then the bike frame (separate stamp, also Sheltering Tree) in Blushing Bride.  I love how light images look on dark  card stock, don’t you?
  • It’s the little things.  A combination of a sequin and tiny pearl give the bicycle tires a flirty personality.

  • The finishing touch is a pattern from of All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack, cropped to line the Medium Crumb Cake Envelope.  All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack is 25% off through today (March 16).  See all Stampin’ Up! Weekly Deals.
  • Hover and Pin it! Here’s a photo showing key products for today’s card that you can save or pin to Pinterest. See ALL my product photos in one spot on my How to Make Simple Cards board on Pinterest.

  1. Hi Penny: I turned the DSP the long way and cropped with my Envelope Liners Framelits Dies. It doest line all the way down the envelope. However, what shows is what matters 🙂

  2. Love the color combo and the awesome design. My Chocolate Chip CS hasn’t made an appearance in awhile. I’m curious how you lined the environment with the smaller cardstock DSP?

  3. What a darling card! I have the On Film Framelits, but have neglected them for quite a while. I definitely need to dust them off.

  4. Oh Mary, this little bike is just so cute, how fabulous you heat embossed the frame in pink, it looks exactly like my Tri bike, love it!!!
The color combination is truly fabulous, I could never come up with it, most times I’m very nervous when it’s time to find colors that would look great together so, like you said, I look at Home magazines or Pinterest, but you seem to have a natural ability to do this, how fantastic is that?
Thank you for sharing all of it with us.

  6. Fashion is often an inspiration for my color combinations and even textures. I see the nude color (blushing bride is a good example) everywhere paired with ivory, white, camel, chocolate, etc. Its very soft. The Crumb Cake ribbon is gorgeous.

  7. Not a color combo I would have thought of. I like it! Also never thought I could use crumb cake ribbon, but I might have to rethink that!
