I’m lovin’ this lemon from “A Happy Thing” stamp set. The card is being sent to a friend who could use a little cheering up. Love life. Perfect sentiment.
The lemon becomes my “oval” on this week’s Pals Paper Arts Challenge (PPA241). It was snipped out with my Paper Snips and popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. See what the PPA resident artists have created with this sketch and play along HERE.

you really make me smile. thanks!
Thanks so much, Carol. Im feeling more and more confident with the Blendabilities markers. I have avoided watercoloring for years–but this is my easy way to get the look!
Mary, your cards always blow me away!! So clean, sharp/ supporting graphics and fabulous color combos! You make it look so simple – like an Olympic caliber ice skater!!!
FABULOUS card Mary….love your layers and how you gently outlined the lemon – really softens and highlights it!
Awww, that’s so neat lookin MsMary, love it
Hugs frenchie
Ill keep the lime in mind, Parker.
I think that a green lime would look just as fantastic as the lemon. If you happen to try it, would you post the lemon and lime side by side?
Beautiful! Love the fanning of the layers! I will have to try this! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks, Diana. I used a combination of both the large and small ends of the Blendabilities markers. For the leaves, I simply swept the large end of the lightest and darkest Olive. I wanted to keep some white area open. What could be easier! M
Mary – lovely card. This is a wonderful stamp set. I made a mask of the image and was able to have a “bunch” of lemons – turned out pretty well. Thanks for the video tips on coloring. I’m going to try the small tip and the little circles. Really appreciate your suggestions. Thank you!
Thanks, Judi!
My favorite card so far using the lemon stamp! Super combo Mary:)
Happy to help, Tory. From bottom to top: Black layer 3 x 4, Crushed Curry 3 x 3 5/8, Old Olive 3 x 3 5/8, Whisper White 2 5/8 x 3 1/4.
Thanks, Maria. Frankly, I initially was going to square up the layers and bumped them. I loved how much more interesting they became fanned out!
WOW!! what a great take on this sketch Mary, the colors of the panels really look fabulous layered like that, taking your eyes directly to that beautifully colored lemon. Love it.
Thank you for sharing.
Loving the results of this sketch. GREAT JOB my friend!
Mary I love your “twist” on this sketch!
Lovely Card. What size are the 4 middle layers?
