Welcome to the October Pals Blog Hop where we are celebrating an early Halloween and Harvest season. This month we are sharing Halloween and fall projects using our wonderful Stampin? Up! supplies.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Stop #16, Liz Gautreaux at Kind Deeds Stampin on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.
The star of the show today is the Stampin’ Up! Gift Box Punch Board used to create the box. It’s perfect for small gifts, favors, even place settings since so many sizes are possible. Â Watch this Stampin’ Up! video to see how easy it is.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- And that dashing flower? Â A black flower with a Tangerine Twist center (Fringe Scissors) really makes a statement for Halloween. Â I used the Stampin’ Up! Fun Flower Punch and this felt flower technique video from way back in my archives!
- I did more “crunching” (balling it up and unfolding of the thin layers) on this flower than in the video. Â BONUS! Â For added “texture,” leave the finished flower on your crafting counter and let your kitty kick it around the room when you aren’t around. Â Purr-fection!
- The “Count” was stamped (VersaMark) and heat embossed in black a second time on Bermuda Bay Cardstock. Â He’s snipped and popped up on a Stampin’ Dimensional.
- Stampin’ Up! 12 x 12 Kraft Cardstock is heavier than our regular cardstock and is terrific for creating boxes.
The next stop is Natalie Bradley at Natalie Bradley Events Stop #18 on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you next month.
I LOVE READING YOUR COMMENTSÂ and answering the questions you leave at the end of my posts. Â If you are receiving the post by email, click on the title to reach the post and share your thoughts. Â Thanks!

Hi Betsy –
I punched the Flower Punch three times. The video in the post shows how I separated them into six.
Hugs,
Mary
Hi Mary,
Love your designs. and your videos! Thanks for sharing with us. I would love to experiment with this large black flower. I am trying to figure out how to complete it. How many flowers do think you made? (…and then splitting them would give me a pouf).
Thanks,
Betsy
Your colorful vampire takes a little of the scare out of him, and I’m glad! I like how you used this stamp!
Cute and scary at the same time. Love that black flower Mary! TFS!
Mary, I can hear you saying Purrfection in my head with that sweet voice and accent you have! Love the box! As always you inspire me with your beautiful creations.
Adorable box, flower and tag, Mary! What a great combination of product and color!
Boris is my young rescue cat and he’s the definition of “curious!” Without doubt, he is the guilty party regarding the black flower. I just found my Melon Mambo ribbon unrolled about 30 minutes ago. He must have gotten it off the ribbon rack, knocked it to the floor and then began “play time!”
Your flower is amazing, especially the center stamens!!! Also really like your tag…very clever and as you said great with a little treat or gift card tucked inside!
I sure love reading your comments. Maria, I love the Count in Bermuda Bay!
I absolutely love that flower, it looks so real, the texture is amazing, it’s the crowning glory to this fabulous box. The tag also is fantastic, heat embossing that cute Count really makes it pop.
Love the color combination too, all of this colors work great together, thank you so much for sharing. 🙂
Love the decorated box, Mary! And the flower is a total WOW! Bet your kitty did not need to give you much help!!
(In case you notice, original comment had to be deleted… came up under Pals Paper Arts name… not sure why since prior comments on other blogs came up under my wordpress sign in… Oops, just figured it out!!)
Darling box……Especially love the WOW FACTOR of the black flower. TOTALLY Spooky and Delightful at the same time. Thanks for sharing!
You made me chuckle this morning. I can’t tell you how many projects my kitties have helped me with. And they always look so proud of themselves when I say “Did you do this?”
Thanks for sharing.
I will certainly be trying that flower technique! It is GORGEOUS!! What a cute way to decorate your box. The box punch board is a very handy tool, especially for this time of year.
Super adorable!! Love, love, love the flower!!
I love the flower! I will have to experiment with that!
Lovely! We were on the same wavelength with the stamp set! That flower is fantastic!
Good job! Love the color combo and the flower is divine.
So cute!! I always enjoy seeing your cards and crafts. Thanks
