I love the snappy and modern holiday patterns of the Stampin’ Up! Santa & Co. Designer Series Paper. Even my 20 year old daughter affirms that the moose with the glasses (another coordinating pattern in the collection) is very “hipster.”
My design was inspired by this week’s Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge (PPA225). I flipped it 90 degrees and extended the lines of the two angled pieces. See it?
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- I didn’t remove anything from the middle of the designer series paper. It’s much easier than that. I cut a 3 1/2″ X 4 3/4″ rectangle of the Santa & Co. pattern and then cut it corner to corner diagonally. It’s simply split and moved to the corners of the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White.
- “MERRY” is from Cheerful Tags Photopolymer (clear) stamp set. Since it’s “see through,” I could place the stamp right where I wanted it. No Stamp-A-Ma-Jig needed!
- The triangles of Santa & Co. paper are popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals AFTER stamping so I’m not navigating between two raised surfaces. I lightly adhered them to the Whisper White before stamping so I could get placement perfect.
- Real Red Candy Dots and 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon add a splashy vibe!

I must confess that this is indeed a very beautiful pattern on this DSP, I love both sides a lot. Your card is so beautiful and how clever how you achieved the slanted space for your sentiment.
Thank you so much for sharing.
