This past weekend I hosted family visitors and we created 20 cards using the Stampin' Up! Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit.
The cards were quick, easy and adorable. They would make a great gift for a new stamper or to mass produce and have plenty of cards on hand. 
The Hip Hip Hooray Kit includes everything you need:
* Cardstock and envelopes for 20 cards
* Twine, clips, and adhesive die-cut embellishments
* Three-piece Hip Hip Hooray Stamp Set & clear stamp block
* Stampin Dimensionals
* Basic Gray Stampin? Spot (mini ink pads)
* Full-color instructional brochure
All 20 cards are now on their way to Cathy King, a member of my Stampin' Pretty Pals Virtual Community, to be distributed for the Hope Notes program. Per Cathy, the cards are signed by a cancer survivor and given to a newly diagnosed patient on their first day of treatment to let them know that they are not alone, they can get thru treatment and come out on the other end and they will be in the thoughts of the survivor. I'm so excited to particpate in this program and the time preparing the cards was such fun as a family.
The kit includes stamps for the images above. However, I opted to use several sentiments from Stampin' Up! Fabulous Phrases since they seemed more appropriate for this project.

I used to make cards with a couple of friends and the cards would be donated Seattle Childrens Hospital for the kids and the families of kids… I am going to contact my local hospital to see if they have such a program like this or , or if they have any needs like this.

HOPE NOTES are handmade cards crafted by members of the Cancer Survivorship Community and volunteers of the Greenville Health System. Each beautiful card contains a handwritten note of encouragement from a cancer survivor and designed to be given to a newly diagnosed cancer patient on the day of their diagnosis, or first day of treatment. If anyone would like to talk about starting a program at their area hospital please contact Cathy King at [email protected] or by phone Daytime number 864-455-5115, evening number 864-963-1516.
If you would like to contribute cards for the project they are greatly appreciated since approximately 100 cards are distributed each week to 7 locations of Cancer Treatment Centers in the upstate of South Carolina. Cards should be ?thinking of you? ?hello? or ?thoughts of you? in nature for both male and female. No religious sentiments or symbols. They should be left blank on the inside for the cancer survivor to write their sentiments. They can be mailed to Cathy King 300 Farming Creek Drive Simpsonville, SC 29680. Postage will be reimbursed if needed. Donations of supplies are also appreciated.

I make up card kits for the Cancer program at a local hospital here also. It is so rewarding to see how they enjoy doing these cards and it takes their minds off of being sick for a short time. I think anyone can volunteer to do this and you can use up some of your old papers as well. Check at your local hospital and see if it is possible to have a class a few times a year, believe me I feel blessed that I can do this.

Great cards for a great cause! Thanks so much for doing this! My Mom had both breast and ovarian cancer and the cards really do put a smile on not only the patient’s face but the family members faces too. So very nicely done!

I would love to make cards to send to the Hope Notes program; would you please share details about the program (who to contact, mailing address, etc.)? We’ve made cards here in TX and we took them to an organization that gives cards to newly-diagnosed patients or those patients currently in the struggle, but I think making notes for survivors to send would be greatly appreciated.
