STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- This simple quilt pattern came to life in a snap with the assistance of the Stampin’ Up! 1″ Square Punch.
- I even used the 1″ Square Punch to crop the left side of the sentiment.
- I played with light and dark squares of the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper as I pieced the puzzle together.
- Oh No! “Dare to Dream” from Loving Thoughts stamp set is retiring, too! “Dare to Dream” is a wonderful alternative to Happy Graduation or Congrats! Get Loving Thoughts while supplies last!
- This quilt inspired today’s design! Fun!
- Oops! The embossing folder I used is unavailable. I was so sure it was on the Holiday Carryover List. An alternative would be something soft and simple with a consistent pattern, like Fancy Fan, Stripes or Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folders!
ARGH! The internet gods continue to plague those of us who blog. The Typepad commenting feature was down yesterday. It’s working again, thank goodness. I hope you had a chance to see yesterday’s gate fold card and would love a comment if you have the time!

Love the black -n-“white” quilt card. I made one very much the same except My squares had half turned down. I will miss this pattern but sure SU will replace it with sonething equally grand.
Thanks, Wendie. Its such a fun card to make. I appreciate all the kind comments!
The key is lining the squares up and adhering them to a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. Then carefully cropping off everything that isnt a Modern Medley square. Thanks, Karren!

Ditto regarding Maria’s statement!! Love the quilt that inspired you as well as your quilt card!! Both are very lovely! 🙂
This is beautiful, Mary. It’s simple, but detailed too.
Oops! The embossing folder I used is unavailable. It’s always a possibility it could show up in the Annual Catalog but I won’t know that until next week when I get my first peek at the catalog. I was so sure it was on the Holiday Carryover List. An alternative would be something soft and simple with a consistent pattern, like Fancy Fan, Stripes or Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folders! I added this information to the post as well 🙂
Woo hoo! Thanks, Anne. So nice to see that my comment feature is working and I appreciate your kind words, too!
Thanks, Maria. This was one of those cards that went together so quickly–primarily because of the inspiration. Im happy with how it turned out!
What a great way to use up any scraps too! Beautiful beautiful card!
Very signature “Mary.” I also think you rock at getting all the pieces to fit perfectly together. Sigh!
Oh Mary, this is very beautiful, stylish and modern. Love the quilt that inspired your card, goodness!! it looks almost identical!!!
Thank you for reminding me how easy it is to make quilt cards with the 1″ square punch, they will always look perfect.
Striking and lovely!
Anne
