When Kerry Willard Bray, a member of my Stampin’ Pretty Pals Virtual Community, shared this yummy combination of blues on her Peonies and Paper Chains Blog, I knew I had to give it a try. I think this card would be equally fun in the pink ombr? version. What do you think?
This card is also my Mojomaker Design Team submission for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO340).
- I started the ombr? look by layering the four different blues on a piece of Whisper White card stock.
- The Stampin’ Up! Small Scallop Rotary Blade and my Stampin’ Trimmer helped me add a simple decorative border to each layer.
- Precision cropping made easy. I used my Big Shot Die Cutting Machine and Magnetic Platform to line up the Circle Framelits as well as the Banner Framelits over my stamped images.

Very beautiful card Mary, I love the shades of blue you chose to make it. I have yet to attempt this Ombre style, I think that any color would look really awesome so, thank you for the inspiration.
Pretty! I have to say too how nice it is to have you back showing us your pretty cards on a daily basis. I know you were going through a move and design studio remodel, which is gorgeous by the way, but since I am not a Facebook follower I missed having your daily dose of inspiration. I am really glad you’re back!
Very nice card Mary. Love the details and the layout. Can’t wait to try it. 🙂
