Super, Easy Ghirardelli Treat Holders . . .

Stampin up mary fish pretty order stamp it ghirardellli treat holders angled topper tag punch occasions catalog Isn’t this threesome cutie patootie?  I had a ball making these simple Ghirardelli treat holders.  They are inspired by a Hershey’s nuggets holder in my Stampin’ Success demonstrator magazine.  I simply modified the size for a Ghirardelli square and decorated my way!

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • The bones of this Ghirardelli holder are simply a 5 1/2″ x  2″ (just a smidge under 2″) piece of Whisper White Cardstock.

  • It’s scored at 2 5/8″ and 2 7/8.  Pretty easy so far, right?
  • SNEAK PEEK!  The magic happens when you insert each end (slightly less than 2″ wide for a perfect fit) into the NEW Stampin’ Up! Angled Tag Topper Punch.  It makes perfect cuts for a tag, bookmark and more.  It even pops in the holes that make it ready for the finishing touch of ribbon!  The Angled Tag Topper Punch will be available Jan. 3 when the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog begins.

  • SNEAK PEEK!  I added a piece of Gold Baker’s Twine, threaded through the holes created by the Angled Tag Topper Punch.  The Gold Baker’s Twine will be in the Occasions Catalog and available for purchase Jan. 3

  • I used used a glue dot on each side of the Ghirardelli squares to fold in and adhere the sides of the packaging.  Looks tidier to me that way.

  • SNEAK PEEKS!  Touches of the new Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape (Occasions Catalog) make adding these darling gold patterns a snap.  Two upcoming Occasions Catalog stamp sets were also used, Happy Watercolor (“thank you”) and Perfect Pennants (heart).

  1. HI Mary – they are all very cute. I do like the third one (far right) the best. I think the tilted heart gives it some extra personality.

    Thanks for sharing.

  2. Dear Mary, These little treat holders are so adorable. I love all three, My eyes go to the one in the middle. The heart and the larger rhinestone really pops. I can not wait to order this punch. I think the possibilities are endless. I also love the Washi tape and the gold bakers twine. I agree I think this catalog is going to be very difficult for my credit card. Thank you for sharing. You always come up with the sweetest ideas. Happy Stamping, Ellen Hinds

  3. It’s pretty hard to make Ghirardelli chocolate even more appealing, but you definitely succeeded. Gold and white is always nice. These are SO cute! Perfect little Valentine treats.

  4. Hi Mary, I like the left and middle candy holders best (left, if you REALLY want a fave). The right one with the tipped heart just doesn’t do it for me.
And that is something, because I frequently “tip” things myself. Oh, well! Great idea for a little surprise gift.

  5. It looks like the new Occasions mini is going to be dangerous for my budget! I love the middle one with the embellishment on the heart. I also love the washi tape, the Gold Baker’s twine and the punch. Thanks for the sneak peeks & inspiration!

  6. I paper snipped the heart . . . pretty simple. My personal favorite is the center one with the large rhinestone. It has much more bling and pizzazz in real life. Sometimes photos just don’t cut it! Love your comments!

  13. These are so cute and since I am still thinking “gifts”, wouldn’t these be cute to make ahead for when I need a quick little gift? I like all the versions, but the last one with the tilted heart is my favorite. It’s like me…a little “off center”!! LOL!
