New WOW! Video: Create a Wider Thinlits Circle Card!

Just as I promised, here’s a new 1 Minute to WOW! Video to demonstrate how I used the Circle Card Thinlits Die to make a wider card with a gift card pocket!

Cut card stock to 5 3/8″ x 10 1/4″ and score at 8 1/2″.  The video will show you how to “thread” the card stock over (vs. under) the right side cutting area of the die, creating a score rather than a cut.  The belly band measures 1 1/4″ x 9″.  It’s scored at 2 1/4″ and 6 1/2″ and adhered in the back.

Here’s a quick and easy alternative for adding a message area shared by Cindy Hall, a member of my Stampin’ Pretty Pals Community.

  1. Brilliant, Mary–thank you so much for sharing this idea. And the little Christmas tree tag from earlier in the week is beautiful too. Everything you do is so clever and clean and pretty!!

  2. What a superb idea and awesome video. It helps to see it done. Very beautiful card and love those colors together.

  3. Told you I would be back for the video! Great job with it, Mary (as always!). And I so appreciate the look of your cutting plates, LOL! Thanks for the tip… I will use them more because of it!! Hugs…

  4. Yay! Love it! Thanks for your one minute to Wow! videos! I always learn something from them. Love this extra flap you added for a card. Thanks, too, for pointing out the large cracking noises, I was worried my Big Shots were biting the dust, but if yours are making the loud crunches, maybe that is just part of it. So, tell us, you make lots of cards. . . Are you good at sending them out or giving them away? Or are you like many of us and have boxes of them and lots of good intentions?

  5. Thank You sooooo much for sharing this great trick. I wanted to use the circle card thinlit to make my wedding cards invitation and now you’ve made it possible since at first, I wasn’t sure I could do it because I thought I could because it was a bit too small. Tadam! Now the problem is fixed !! Hourra!

  6. I was just playing with this framelits yesterday and it was challenging – your video is timely. Can you share how you cut the dsp? Or what the measurements are?

  7. LOVE your video and think this will be a staple in my gift card collection.

  8. I love this videos Mary, they are always so informative and fun to watch. I like when I can actually see the tip or technique in a video rather than just written down. Thank you for taking the time to do this videos for us.
    Maria.

  9. WOW! I love how you have expanded this to include a gift card! What an awesomely clever idea! 🙂
