Today’s 5 x 5″ card takes direction from this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO321). I also took the opportunity to highlight a few more items that are on sale during the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Sale Up to 50% off. Ends Dec. 2.
- ON SALE! Stampin’ Up! Etcetera Designer Series Paper (DSP) provided the pattern and flair for this card. Orig. $10.95. NOW $7.67.
- The butterfly was cropped from Etcetera DSP using the Bitty Butterfly Punch. A pearl from Stampin’ Up! Pearl Basic Jewels accents the center.
- ON SALE! A touch of embossed cross stitching adds a subtle impression. Needlepoint Border Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. Orig. $7.95. NOW $5.96.
- ON SALE! I used Label Love stamp set (images below) and the Artisan Label Punch to stamp and crop the element behind “my friend.” Label Love is on sale in clear-mount only. Orig. $17.95. NOW $12.57. Artisan Label Punch Orig. $15.95. NOW $11.96.
- The Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board helped me create a custom envelope for my 5 x 5″ card. I prefer to start with a 8 1/4″ square of Designer Series Paper (Etcetera) vs. the suggested 8 1/2″ square on the punch board chart. The scores are perfect per the chart at 4 1/8″

STAMPIN’ UP! LABEL LOVE STAMP SET
The poinsettia card is beautiful. I was looking for something special for my pastor and his family….this is perfect. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
Hi Mary,
So nice to see some lovely soothing creamsicle orange in the sea of red white blue and green – I kinda feel like its a Christmas stampede, I’m guilty too… haha, but I try to toss in a “normal” card instead of all the festive ones, bring me back to earth so to say.
Your friend is lucky to have a talented friend like you in her life.
Blessings,
Barb

What a pretty and cheerful card Mary, it put a smile on my face too, reminds me of the Spring, flowers and butterflies that are no longer here, we are in full Winter weather up here, brrr!! Thank you for sharing this warm and beautiful card this morning. Have a delightful day!!
Love it Mary! Very pretty! I just lost a friend that I worked with for 5 years suddenly! She had a massive heart attack! I would have loved to give her a card like this if she was still here! It would have put a smile on her face too!
Beautiful card Mary. The kind of card that makes me SMILE!
