Stampin’ Pretty Gets a Makeover!

Colorful-welcome-mat-for-home
Welcome!  I have been working for weeks with Veronica of V K Designs on a new look for my Stampin’ Pretty Blog.  The simplified design is a reflection of my commitment to making my blog and resources easier to navigate as well as easier on the eyes (less clutter on the sides and more focus on content). Frankly, it mirrors ways I’m finding balance and simplification in my own life as well!

The new features that make my heart go pitter pat are:

  • Colorful social media buttons in the banner (yes, they really work!).
  • An easy-to-find search tool and drop down navigation bar makes everything neat, tidy and in one organized “closet!”
  • The banner colors will change each month to inspire you.  Here’s a sneak peek of tomorrow’s post that reflects the November color combination in the banner above (influenced, of course, by Stampin’ Up! “Sweater Weather” Designer Series Paper)!

My YouTube and Stampin’ Pretty Facebook pages are “spiffed up” with the new design, too!

Change is a little scary at first.  However, I hope you enjoy both the look and new direction for a simpler blog that just might make all our lives feel a little less hectic!

Paper Hugs...Mary

  2. Love the new look! I’ve been away for a bit and was shocked when I pulled it up. Totally the ‘you’ that you always say . . . . Clean and Simple. Great job! (Not that I would expect anything less :o)!)

  3. Thank you, Misa for your kind feedback. Since my “search” feature is now easy accessible (part of the navigation bar), you can search by theme (birthday, sympathy) or even stamp set or tool. That will get better results than the old categories! M

  4. Hi Mary,
I’ve been admiring your website and you are my stamping mentor. I loved your old site, but I think this one is even better!

By the way, on this new website, you don’t have pages which all your cards are organized by holidays, purposes, events and etc. etc.?

  8. I love the new layout! Patty suggested I also put tabs below the banner on my blog too? I just haven’t gotten around to it, since I have to depend on my younger brother to do it for me for free? LOL

  12. I like it! Seems to fit with the sleek design of iOS7 from Apple. Even more important than the blog design is the content of your crafting hands….I love your samples! Thanks for all you do for the paper world out there:)

  15. It’s very nice Mary, but I don’t see where we can click on your WOW Video site and see what you’ve done, and be able to go back on check on an idea if we needed too. But a change is always nice isn’t. You did great as usual

  18. I absolutely LOVE it! Have been thinking about opening my blog up to much more white myself. VK has a ginormous wait list for new customers so I’m doing a little bit at a time myself. Looks like you’ve gone from Typepad to WordPress? Just beautiful!

  19. Love it and so appreciative of the fact that you always looking for ways to simplify and improve your skills and presentation. Also, what a cool doormat – wonderful colors. Thanks Mary for all that you do!

  20. The doormat is a project from Lowe’s, you have to make it. If you go to Lowe’s and check out their Ideas & How-tos, then go to Porch, Decks & Patios, you will see it on the right. It is a wooden door mat. Thanks, love your site Mary

  22. Hi Kelly . . . You may be a natural from the get go. However, I had to play with the bow maker a few times before I had it down. Just remember to pull that last knot pretty tight. It ensures a clean bow! Hugs, M
