After having been in Atlanta last week and doing my best to get caught up in my Stampin’ Up! business, I still needed to get some thank you and congrats notes out pronto. The answer? Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper offers patterns and color that make a quick card a snap!
So you can just as easily recreate this card, here’s the complete 411!
- Cut Very Vanilla card stock (101650) to 3 1/2″ x 10″ and score at 5″
- Round ends with the Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board (133774). I love that this tool multi-tasks as a punch as well as making 66 different sizes of envelopes.
- Cut Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper (130145) to 2 7/8″ square.
- Layer over a 3 1/8″ x 3 3/8″ piece of Bermuda Bay Card Stock (131197).
- Cut a Very Vanilla strip (101650) to 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ and crop end with a 1″ Square Punch (124094).
- I used a stamp from Stampin’ Up! Lots of Thanks (Wood-Mount 129687 or Clear-Mount 129690) for the sentiment. I love it’s reference to “a thousand” when paired with the numbers on the pattern. This connection may go unnoticed but it still makes me smile.
- The sentiment is popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).
- Add a Candy Dot for a tiny pop of color. I used a Calypso Coral “dot” from the Candy Dots Subtles Collection (130933).
BUTTON OR NO BUTTON? As an alternative, you could accent the card with a button. Do you like it better with or without the Naturals Designer Button (127554)? Leave me a comment below. I would love your thoughts!

The button draws your attention away from the rest of the card as the shape and colour does not reflect the rest of the piece. If you wanted a circular piece added to the card, you Could add three small red circles on the top right above the blue paper

I prefer the card without the button. I think it is perfect and I love the colors. The button seems to add a bit of “dullness” to an otherwise bright and upbeat card. It is a keeper!
I like the cute little card without the button and I would sponge round the sentiment strip. Clever DSP with the sentiment!
Either way the quick idea is creative and colorful, I would love getting the card as would any recipient. I love how your brain works.

I liked the uncluttered look of the DSP sans the button. I’m always aware of embellishments that are not postage-friendly…an additional reason to omit the button. The small, candy dot is perfect…eye-catching without “stealing the show” and hopefully will go for 46 cents.

Beautiful and fast card Mary, thank you for the dimensions and details. I like it with the button but maybe a smaller one? and maybe adding a little piece of linen thread through the holes and making a small bow could embellish it further. I think the button would look prettier in the place of the Candy Dots. I love this buttons, they are perfect for masculine cards.

FANtastic! I am in LOVE with Note Cards and Envelopes, and have the new envies in Crumb Cake, too. This is a great layout for those cards. I would leave the button off just to make it postage-friendly. The Candy Dot is such a cute little sprite, with just the right amount of balance. Love it, Mary! If you want to add a button, I would use a small vintage faceted one instead of the naturals one.

Without! With the button gets too busy for wonderfully simple and clean card. I also think the wood button doesn’t quite “go” with the rest of the card.
I love the crisp colors against the white background. I’d leave the button off, then your eye goes right to the sentiment. I got the numbers connection immediately….it’s perfect!
