“Oh What Fun” for the Holidays!

Stampin up stampinup stamp it pretty order holiday card making idea christmas collectible message punch
Welcome to a new Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO313).  The two circles on this week’s sketch shouted holiday ornaments to me and “Oh What Fun!” it was to stamp with the Christmas Messages stamp set (one of My Holiday Catalog 10 Favorite Things).

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • The largest Scallop Circle of the Stampin’ Up! Circles Collection Framelits Dies was used for the round card.  I folded the card stock and cropped with just a tiny bit of the die beyond the fold so that it remained intact.  An instant hinge!
  • Candy Dots add the perfect dash of color and texture to the center of the right ornament as well as the exclamation point!

  • My Envelope Punch Board (now on back order but expected to be in stock in mid-October–order NOW) helped me whip up the perfect sized envelope for this card.  Card base is approx. 4 7/8″ in diameter.
  • I used the punch board listed measurements for a 5 x 5 card (in this case, 8 1/8″ for the card stock square and 4 1/8″ for the first score).  However, for a full 5 x 5 card base, I recommend using a 8 1/4″ square for more room but keep 4 1/8″ as the first score.
  • Making a liner with the Season of Style Designer Series Paper can be quick and simple using my Envelope Punch Board Liner WOW! Tutorial.  I began with a 4″ square to line this size envelope.  Watch my video here.

  1. I just wanted to say thank you for all you share, and your beautiful projects. You have such amazing Ideas.
I hope this doesn’t sound rude, Its not my intent to be mean, I wanted to share how disappointed I am with your “new” look for your website, its so impersonal now. Its just like all the other blogs, it makes me sad to see all the big time stampin’ up gals making their blogs into these awful looking look “professional sites” Whatever happen to If its not broke down fix it.
Angie Judda’s blog is the same, I use to love coming to these blogs and seeing projects but its not so fun any more, they are cold and it feels like … just buy from me… give me your money… purchase Stampin’ Up.
I know its alot of work blog, so thank for doing it everyday … I just wish that as people started getting higher and higher up in Stampin’ Up they would still stay down to earth.
    That they would stay bloggers….

  4. Great card Mary. I really like both versions, but the round one speaks to me. The directions are good, but a video would be very helpful.

  6. I don’t think I followed the instructions you gave about using the framelits to make a hinged card–would you be able to show us on a video how you did that?
